Strejkens röster : En kvantitativ studie av mediernas bevakning av Pappers strejk 2010
The writer has attempted to discuss the distinction between the necessary and the contingent. It begins with a criticism against the possibility for a so-called ?a possible worlds realism? to give a ?philosophical explanation? of this distinction. The writer argues that this is impossible, since it requires that a notion of this distinction be already accepted (more precisely that the necessity of such a theory is already accepted).After this specific criticism, the writer intends to show that this is a more general problem that follows any explanation of the contingent/necessary distinction.The writer then discusses the counter-argument that the requirements placed on these explanations are set to high, therefore the writer shows in theory the problem can be solved and sketches a more specific way how to explain and show the basis for this distinction..
Simulering av bordläggningslucka
Kockums i Karlskrona har givit i uppdrag att ta fram lösningar till
öppningsmekanismen för större bordläggningsluckor på marina ytfartyg. De önskar
att luckans dimension ska vara max 10 * 3 m.
I uppgiften ingår att ta fram en lösning på öppningsmekanism, simulera öppning
och stängningsförloppet i Virtual Reality samt utvärdera konstruktionen enligt
givna lastfall. Acceleration är ett exempel på laster som luckan kan tänkas
utsättas för under öppet läge samt under öppning och stängning.
Första delen av rapporten innehåller principkonstruktionen, här har det tagits
fram ett antal lösningsförslag som visas med enkla skisser. Dessa utvärderas i
olika omgångar mot de krav och önskemål som tagits fram i samarbete med
Kockums.
Barn och religion : En studie om barns tankar om sin egen religion och andras religion
The objective of the essay has been the studying of the importance of religion for children. To answer and satisfy my objective, I have some questions: How do children talk about their own and others? religions? In what way do children associate themselves to religion? Which meaning does religion have for children?s identities? Which thoughts rise about religiontuition in the school?To answer the problem formulation, I have done a qualitative interview study with five children of different religious and cultural backgrounds in a Swedish communal school. The results showed that children?s thoughts about religion are mostly inherited from the parents.

The purpose of this thesis was to examine how women who have committed crimes feel they have been treated by authorities. Our research questions were: How do women who have committed crime feel they have been treated by authorities? How has this treatment affected the women and their life worlds? In our study we have conducted semi-structured interviews with four women who have committed crime. Our theoretical basis has been phenomenology, symbolic interactionism and Hirdmans theory on the gender system. Our main results show that the women have different experiences of treatment, some positive and some negative.
Påverkan av ackulturation på invandrares upplevelse av arbetets mening: en fenomenologisk studie
The purpose of this phenomenological study was to facilitate increased understanding of immigrant's experience of the meaning of work with focus on how that meaning can change as a part of the acculturation process. Participants (n=13) from eight countries answered an open question. The responses were analysed using Meaning Construction Analysis (MCA)-Minerva and the individual's life-worlds were made visible and discussed. The themes meaning of work, work, unemployment, education, adjustment, immigration, Sweden/country of origin, dreams, possibilities and self appeared as jointly shared important aspects. The results indicate that work is of central importance, and although the individuals share certain experiences, the meaning associated with the themes is of a complex and individual nature..

This essay examines fans contributions in a transmedia culture. I examine how fans relate and use the fictional worlds in the creations of their own films. The study focusing on the use of graphical elements and character design in some fan films. The examination is done by using two intertextual theories. One of the theory is Lubomir Dolezel theory on transfictional relationships and the other one is Gérad Genette theory on the realtion in transtextuality.

Användbarhet och begränsad navigation i en interaktiv 3D-miljö : Inredningsverktyg för MIOs möbler
Det har blivit allt mer populärt på senare tid med inredning av hemmet, och det finns idag stora möjligheter med virtuell 3D, vilket gör projektet relevant för tiden vi lever i. Projektet handlar om att skapa en första prototyp av en möblerbar 3D-miljö med tillhörande användarvänligt gränssnitt som ska kunna användas i Mios varuhus. Prototypen bygger på två demofilmer av applikationen där gränssnittet och användarens interaktionsmöjligheter har visualiserats i en vanlig skärm, och 3D-miljön i en 3D-skärm, dessa har sedan synkats med varandra för att ge ett helhetsintryck av applikationen. Gränssnittet skulle vara så pass användarvänligt att Mios kunder själva skulle kunna använda applikationen och med hjälp av speciella 3D-skärmar och renderingstekniker skulle miljön framstå som verklig. Projektet startade med en förstudie, med intervjuer och research.

We have chosen to look at the Brazil beef cattle production. They are one of the biggest producers, have good opportunity to develop further and have a big affect at the world market.
The method of our work is to gather information from experts of beef cattle production, located in Brazil. We have also gathered information through studies of literature.
The factors that will have a big influence at the Brazil beef cattle production during the upcoming years is more efficient land use, lower age of slaughtering and extended use of feedlot-system.
Our conclusion is that the Brazil beef cattle will have a sharp increase during the next five years. The amount of pasture will not change during that time.

The school's restaurant is a unique arena, freely hovering between two worlds: The school world and the restaurant reality. Here, the students are confronted with real situations and problems, similar to the ones occurring in a restaurant, still having the school's safety net beneath them. Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) is currently used more and more within construction design and planning as well as construction as a streamlining tool aiming to improve communication and decrease the number of construction defects. The augmented reality (AR) technology is currently not used within construction in Sweden but should be considered as the next step in line regarding the integration of reality and digital information. This thesis has enlightened how consumer behavior is when buying clothes via the Internet and the problems and difficulties that could face the companies. This study was conducted through interviews with people that have bought clothes through the Internet, traditional catalogues and real stores. The conclusions showed that the Internet is as suitable as traditional catalogues for buying clothes. Another dimension were put to the aspect of availability to a virtual mall in the design of the catalogues.
