Engreppsskördare med Head-Up Display

Arbetsbelastningen för föraren i en engreppsskördare är stor. Vid aptering måste föraren fokusera om blicken för att läsa av information från en Head-Down Display (HDD) samtidigt som föraren måste ha kontroll på kranspetsen vilket bidrar till arbetsbelastningen.Syftet med projektet var att undersöka om arbetsbelastningen i engreppsskördare reducerades med Head-Up Display (HUD) under aptering. Först testades fyra HUD-gränssnitt i en simulator, därefter omarbetades gränssnitten innan de slutligen testades i en engreppsskördare i fält. En HUD-demonstrator utvecklades för detta ändamål.Resultatet visade att arbetsbelastningen samt apteringstiderna minskade i simulatortestet med HUD jämfört med HDD. I fältstudien förblev arbetsbelastningen oförändrad men apteringstiderna minskade.Att arbetsbelastningen minskade med HUD jämfört med HDD kan bero på att HUD är bättre än HDD och/eller att konceptens gränssnitt är effektivare att arbeta med än Valmet Maxi gränssnittet.En HUD-demonstrator som fungerar under ljusstarka förhållanden och som tål påfrestningarna i en skördare borde utvecklas för vidare tester..

Digital videoväxel

This thesis discusses the possibilities to distribute digital video in a military vehicle. Today, an analogue system is used, which has a maximum capacity of eighteen video sources and the same number of monitors. The purpose of this thesis is to increase the systems capabilities regarding secure distribution and additional functions. Both software and hardware tests are made to investigate the features of the digital video standard MPEG-2. Both the coding delay and the image quality are of great interest.

Display Interface Serializer : seriell förlängning av displaygränssnitt

Detta ingenjörsarbete är utfört hos Syntronic Research and Development AB i Gävle och går ut på att undersöka möjligheten att separera en display-modul från sin styrande processor-krets samt att skapa ett generellt gränssnitt för att möjliggöra ett enkelt utbyte av display-moduler. Detta har genomförts genom att konstruera en prototyp, baserad på en så kallad serializer / deserializer-lösning.En förstudie har genomförts där lämpliga komponener valts ut för uppgiften och olika lösningar vägts mot varandra. En prototyp har sedan konstruerats, mönsterkort har tillverkats men tyvärr inte monterats (på grund av ett logistiskt missöde). Att spela ett yrke : En kvantitativ studie om svenska speljournalister och deras professionalisering

This work aims to improve our knowledge about Swedish video game journalists, a new occupation in a quickly expanding business. Through a survey sent out to over 50 Swedish video game journalists, the result indicate some unexpected facts. Men largely dominate the profession; just 10 % of the work forces are females. This relation was notable in our survey, as well as in earlier studies. Video game journalists between 26 and 35 years old seems to be the largest age group, which we think is a bit surprising considering how new this form of journalism is, and the fact the internet provides opportunities for every enthusiastic video game writer.

Implementering av realtidsvideolänk med MPEG- och wavelet-teknik

At Saab Aerosystems, situated in Linköping Sweden, there is a presentation and manoeuvre simulator simulating the fighter jet JAS-39 Gripen. This flight simulator is called PMSIM. In this thesis we study how to transfer sensor images generated by PMSIM to other simulators or desktop computers. The transmission is band-limited so some kind of image coding must be used. Because of this the greater part of this thesis is concerned with image coding.

Digital videoregistrering

This Bachelor thesis examines the possibility of replacing an outdated, analog video recording system to a digital counterpart. It is key that the video and audio signals remain synchronized, generator locked and time stamped. It is up to nine different video sources and a number of audio sources to be recorded and treated in such a manner which enables synchronized playback. The  different video sources do not always follow a universal standard, and differ from format as well as resolution. This thesis aims to compare a number of state of the art commercial of the shelf solutions with proprietary hardware.

Fördelarna med ikoner kontra text : Finns det skillnader med avseende på displaystorlek?

Att presentera information i ett gränssnitt kan göras med ikoner, text eller med kombinationen ikoner och text. Vilket sätt är att föredra? Forskning visar att inget presentationssätt är att föredra framför något annat. Dessa studier är enbart utförda på stora displayer. Går resultaten att applicera på små displayer? Syftet med detta examensarbete är att påvisa att fördelarna med att använda ett ikonbaserat gränssnitt är fler för en liten display än för en stor display samt att ikoner är det optimala presentationsättet för en liten display.

Shoplifting is a serious problem due to the fact that about 2 % of a retail store's turnaround dis-appears annually. This paper discusses the problem with shoplifting where a closed retail display of glass can prevent this kind of misbehavior. Hitherto the scientific research regarding how consumers react to a closed retail display is non-existing. With this in mind we want to investigate and enlighten the phenomenon regarding consumer behavior and product appreciation. The study is carried out at a retailer in the beauty industry in Sweden both in stores where the selection of perfumes have been displayed behind glass and in stores in which they have been displayed with open access.

UTVECKLING AV PROCESSORPLATTFORM

Abstract The purpose of this project is to develop a modular processor card which is intended to work as a platform for Kitron Development Karlskoga. The modular processor card is meant to be used as a control system in development projects, mainly in medical and industrial products. The processor card will consist of a central unit with the basic functions for a control system. Furthermore there will be complete modules with machine commodity and programming, to pick exactly the necessary functions for a specific application. With consideration to the specification of the development and the main unit, I chose an adequate microprocessor (AT90CAN32) as core and interface circuits to stated border areas. The construction is first completed in the program MultiSim and then remade in the program OrCAD Capture. The programming language C was used in the software model.

The functions were then grouped into a number of energy levels with known properties in terms of functionality, energy consumption, and transition time between the levels.The embedded system consisted of an AT91 ARM9 processor, GSM/GPRS modem, display, Ethernet and other peripheral units. Some energy saving methods that were considered were suspend to RAM, suspend to disk, frequency scaling, and methods for saving energy in the modem, Ethernet, USB and display backlight. The functions were grouped into levels and an interface was specified for controlling the energy level.It proved possible to get known properties within the defined energy levels, even though the paritioning of functions into these levels proved to be sub-optimal in a typical application usage scenario because it was designed for mainly energy consumption, not usage.The final result is a number of energy saving functions grouped into levels, which are controllable via an application interface. Each of the levels have a known energy consumption in both loaded and un-loaded mode..

This Master s thesis deals with the display of library media, whether it is conceivable and desirable to draw inspiration from the retail business when displaying articles. The questions asked are: are there, in the retail sector, well established display ideas and - if so - what do they look like? Are the similarities in conditions, between the branches, sufficient? In conveying the ideas to libraries, are the potential differences not obstructive? Is there, among librarians, a positive attitude towards further development of library display techniques? The results were achieved by interviewing shop window dressers and librarians. In addition, a survey was sent to the library managers of 65 public libraries in southern Sweden. The results show that there are established ideas and methods of displaying materials, and that the ideas are manifested in frequently used techniques.

Jag behandlar frågor som förklarar vad postproduktion är, hur det går till samt olika tekniker inom den digitala postproduktionen för att kombinera video och digital teknik.
