Röd/Blå (AECD1091) är ett album och examensarbete av producent/musiker Pekka Tuppurainen och hans kvintett med Magnus Broo, Mikko Innanen, Aki Rissanen och Joonas Riippa. Albumet spelades in i januari 2009 och släpptes i april 2010. Projektets första utgångspunkt var konceptuell och hade kontrasttänkande, covers på David Bowie-låtar och det kalla kriget som en sorts bakgrund. Genomförandet av ide?n var dock inte problemfritt: genom processen uppstod det flera kreativa dilemman och slutresultatet blev ganska annorlunda än som tänkt i början av processen.

When grains of wheat and rye are conventionally milled, large quantities of bran classified as by-products are left and are mainly used for animal feed. Bran is a complex material composed of the aleurone layer, nucellar epidermis, a seed coat, a fruit coat and a small proportion of the germ and endosperm depending on extraction rate. The bran fraction consists of approximately 40-50 % dietary fibre which can contribute to increase the nutritional quality of human cereal food. It would also be valuable for the food industry to convert by-products as bran to products with higher commercial values. The aim of this thesis was to analyse the content and composition of dietary fibre of heat treated wheat and rye bran according to the Uppsala method with some modifications in order to analyse soluble and insoluble dietary fibre separately. Half of the bran samples were precooked, dried and roasted and the other half dried and roasted (uncooked).

From embankment dams is something that has long been noticed and given rise to different questions. The most serious question is if the sludge is a result of inner erosion through the dam, and thus consists of material transported from the dam. Concerns have also been raised whether the sludge could interfere with the systems drainage capacity and thereby lead to high pore pressure in the dam, or if the measurement of seepage is disturbed, as the measuring is usually made via Thomson weirs, which could risk being blocked. The result of this investigation shows that the sludge is a result of the oxidation of iron by iron bacteria, and to the greater part consists of these oxides as well as the bacteria?s own structures. The iron oxidizing bacteria, FeOB, oxides ferrous iron to ferric as a part of their metabolism, and thereby create large quantities of iron(oxy)hydroxides.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med min studie är att förklara hur relationen mellan lärare och elev ter sig sett ur ett genusperspektiv. Jag avser, ur ett genusperspektiv, granska hur idrottsundervisningen på skolan praktiseras och därigenom förstå och förklara hur relationen mellan lärare och elev formas, och vad detta kan få för konsekvenser. Med stöd av det sociala perspektivet på lärande kommer min studie grunda sig i den rådande genusordning som verkar under idrottsundervisningen. Med detta som grund har jag valt att fokusera på följande frågeställningar:Finns det tydliga pojk- respektive flickaktiviteter, hur visar det sig i undervisningen?Vart riktas uppmärksamheten, varför, och vad får det för konsekvenser?Vad har tävling som moment för inverkan på idrottsundervisningen, sett ur ett genusperspektiv?MetodJag valde att göra en kvalitativ studie där jag använde mig av intervjuer och observationer.

The streetscape is a complex environment with a lot of different parts and users. If you look at the streetscapes main parts you have floor, walls, roof and furniture. The floor in the streetscape, the street, consists of the ground and the paving. It can be made of a lot of different materials with both architectonic and practical functions. The walls usually consist of the houses. They have a big influence on the streetscape depending on architecture, heights and widths.

Being able to take a decision on an area you've never seen is a difficult task. It is also complicated to introduce an environment in the best way to benefit its purpose. This study focuses on the differences people notice between 2D and 3D models. To make it more concrete, the study has been linked to a case study called Ha?lsans va?g 255.

Grupparbeten har därför överlag dåligt rykte då sådana kräver synkronitet studenterna emellan, på bekostnad av flexibilitet.Merparten av studenterna skapar förståelse för ämnet med stor hjälp av sökmotorersamt fria encyklopedier på internet utan ledning från kursernas ledare.

SCA has today almost 300 000 hectares of their forest land planted with lodgepole pine(Pinus contorta var. latifolia). Due to initial extensive planting in the 1970ies the area oflodgepole pine forests in the thinning age has grown rapidly from the end of the 1990ies.During the years 1996-2005 first commercial thinning of lodgepole pine at SCA took place.The goal of the hereby presented study was to investigate the growth and stability in thosefirstly-thinned lodgepole pine stands a few years after thinning. Furthermore, the objectivewas to investigate the relationship between stand stability and different stand parameters.Additionally, lodgepole pine stem quality was estimated.The study is mainly based on the data collected during an inventory project carried out atSCA in 2008. Altogether 91 lodgepole pine stands in northern Sweden were measured afterthe first thinning.

Antalet övervakningssystem med digital utrustning har ökat markant på senare år. Polisen får in fler filmer som används vid brottsutredningar. Detta har inneburit att det blivit högre arbetsbörda på svenska polismyndigheter. I dagsläget skiljer sig arbetssätt och kunskapsnivå en del mellan olika myndigheter. Det fanns ett önskemål från polisen att höja lägstanivån inom myndigheterna och därför har denna studie utförts.Rapporten grundar sig på intervjuer som utförts med anställda på polismyndigheterna runt om i Sverige.

The objectives of this experimental study were to investigate if a strategic method to supply loose housed sows with large quantities of straw 2 days before expected farrowing and if the sow?s body condition had any effect on the occurrence of shoulder lesions 5 weeks after farrowing. Data came from a study conducted on four commercial piglet-producing farms in southwest Sweden between March and December 2009. At each farm one batch of sows was followed during two consecutive lactations. The sows were randomly assigned to two different treatment groups and the sows that remained in the batch during the second lactation switched treatment group.

Uppsatsen behandlar det postmoderna popfenomenet Lady Gaga och framställningen av henne i dagspress världen över. Lady Gagas spektakulära och inflytelserika kändisskap reproduceras dagligen i media och hon påverkar således vår samtid vilket gör henne till ett intressant forskningsobjekt. Med hjälp av Norman Faircloughs kritiska diskursanalys som metod har vi kunnat göra djupgående kvalitativa analyser och undersökt Lady Gagas framställning i dagspress. Vi har tittat på den bild som ges av Lady Gaga genom att göra grundliga språkliga analyser. Materialet som ligger till grund för undersökningen behandlar Lady Gaga i sin köttklänning som hon bar på MTV Video Music Awards i september 2010.

New dwellings and commercial buildings in coastal regions has for some time now been a focal point. Old industrial harbours are regenerated into modern living areas with a recreational purpose. In Sweden the marina has not taken part in this development, thus remained in the monotony and large-scale structures of modernism. This graduation thesis looks upon the marina from a landscape architects point of view, where the marina foremost is a social venue. By revealing and discussing the development of the marina, its design and environmental consequence theories of the marinas future is presented. These theories are later tested upon the costal village of Rydebäck, south of Helsingborg. The thesis is structured in three parts: marina knowledge, proposal and resources. In the first part the historical development of the marina from prehistory time to now is discussed.

Målet med denna avhandling är att ge en översikt av HTML5:s möjligheter och utvärdera dessa från ett utvecklingsperspektiv genom att ställa de mot tidigare lösningar. Sällan kan något nytt introduceras utan att problem dyker upp, speciellt när det gäller webben. Problemen som ska lösas samt problemen som uppstår vid skiftet till det nya märkspråket granskas och detsamma gäller lösningarna på båda sidor. Tanken med HTML5 är att man ska kunna göra mer med mindre. Med andra ord ska användningen av insticksprogram för diverse uppgifter minskas, och huruvida troligt detta blir är en del av undersökningen. Dokumentet behandlar även rollen HTML5 har i uppgången av webbapplikationer och hur den gynnar denna utveckling på både skrivbordet samt i de handhållna enheterna.

The following thesis concerns the conceptualization of openness within the open access movement. Open accesscan be understood as a phenomenon or a movement that aims at changing the current system of scholarly communication.Consequentially, the movements goals arose in relation to the escalating serials crisis in scholarly communicationand the increasing power of commercial publishers. The purpose of the thesis is to study three centralopen access declarations with the aim of uncovering the different conceptualizations of openness found withinthese texts. Leaning on the theoretical position known as actor-network theory, the declarations role within a surroundingnetwork is explored by focusing on how openness as a concept has been produced and reproduced bycentral actors. Two overarching questions frames the study: How is openness conceptualized within the declarations?And how can openness, as a concept, be understood as an effect generated by a larger network?The first part of the study focuses on the first question.

The aim of this study is to examine the significance of having a music department at the public library in Enköping, and how the organization of the phonograms is handled. The different areas examined are the reason of the reintroduction of a music department, its budget, its users, the work with selection, the marketing, statistical data concerning loans, the work with classification, indexing, and organization of the phonograms and the future of the music department. The empirical material consists of qualitative interviews with staff connected to the music department at the public library in Enköping. For the theoretical frame, Sanna Taljas discourse analysis of music libraries in Finland is used. Talja presents three discourses which all show different views on what kind of material a music library should contain.
