In the centre of Bromma, east of Brommaplan is the part of Bromma named Riksby. Riksby was built in the early 1940:s as a part of the westward expansion of Stockholm. Other places that were built at the same time was for ex. Stora Mossen and Abrahamsberg. This work is about the outdoor environment of the housing co-operative of Brickbandet.

Stockholms befolkning växer för varje dag som går och det finns ett stort behov av bostäder i hela regionen. Trots det byggs det inte tillräckligt och bostadsbristen ökar stadigt. De senaste tio åren har det varit en omfattande utveckling av ombildningar från hyresrätter till bostadsrätter. Samma utveckling syns också i andelen hyresrätter kontra bostadsrätter i nybyggda bostäder. Den här kandidatuppsatsen tar sin utgångspunkt i varför det inte byggs mer bostäder i allmänhet och hyresrätter i synnerhet i Stockholmsområdet.

Andraspråksundervisning är en ViTal del av många elevers skolgång. I Thailand har detta aktualiserats, i och med att en ekonomisk gemenskap med engelska som huvudspråk är på väg att skapas av länder i regionen. Engelskkunskaperna är generellt bristfälliga i landet och den thailändska regeringen har därför utarbetat ett åtgärdsprogram, the English Speaking Year 2012 Program. Programmet antas leda till förändringar i skolorna som på sikt ska göra invånarna betydligt bättre på engelska. Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka engelskundervisningen vid en thailändsk grundskola som jobbar utifrån the English Speaking Year 2012 Program. Det avsågs att identifiera om åtgärdsprogrammet lett till förändringar i undervisningen och även åskådliggöra eventuella förändringar.

The importance of chemical use is enormous for areas such as agriculture, industry and medicine and hence a prerequisite for our modern society. In order to protect humans and the environment from the negative effects of chemical use, chemical regulations have been used at a relatively early stage in our history. The purpose of REACH, the new chemical regulation of the European Union, is to generate new knowledge of chemicals within the European market and to increase the responsibilities of the enterprises when it comes to risk management. Whether the enterprises will implement the regulations or not will be of ViTal importance for the realization of the law?s intentions.The purpose of this study was to identify possibilities and problems that can occur when a downstream-user SME is about to implement REACH.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka jämställdheten inom den svenska idrottsrörelsen. Mer precist handlar det om att analysera kvinnliga idrottsutövares livsberättelser med fokus på jämställdheten inom det idrottsliga föreningslivet. Ambitionen är att belysa hur kvinnliga idrottare upplever och hanterar frågor som har med jämställdhet och idrott att göra på daglig basis i sin idrottsliga praktik. Ett flertal frågeställningar innehar en ViTal karaktär i den föreliggande studien: Upplever kvinnliga idrottsutövare att utvecklingen går åt ?rätt håll?, det vill säga att idrottslivet blir mer jämställt? Är det något eller några område som är särskilt förbisedda och/eller välutformade när det gäller jämställdhetsfrågor? Finns det några signifikanta skillnader mellan de olika idrotter som studerats, sett ur ett jämställdhetsperspektiv? Dessa frågor utgör bara ett par exempel på fundamentala frågeställningar i denna kontext. För att söka svar på dessa frågor har en kvalitativ metod tillämpats med inriktning mot livsberättelse.

Auktioner på nätet har på senare år blivit en ViTal del i många företags verksamheter. Speciellt mindre företag med begränsad budget och IT-kompetens har upptäckt de möjligheter som auktionssidor erbjuder och idag är dessa marknadsplatser överbefolkade av små, ofta nischade aktörer. På grund av stark lokal såväl som global konkurrens från större företag hade bara en bråkdel av dessa aktörer kunnat existera om inte möjligheten att använda internetauktioner som alternativ distributionskälla funnits. Vårt syfte med detta arbete är att studera en av dessa aktörer och vår frågeställning är hur valt företag med hjälp av auktionssidor genererat långvariga konkurrensfördelar gentemot större aktörer på marknaden. Att skapa långvariga konkurrensfördelar handlar i grunden om att skapa en långsiktigt framgångsrik strategi i relation till konkurrenterna. Huruvida ett företag lyckas med detta beror på en rad olika faktorer Det företag som vi har valt att studera är en av de tio största aktörerna på den svenska auktionssidan Tradera och de har valt att nischa sig mot äldre tvspelsrelaterade produkter.

Safe operation of a large synchronous power system as Nordel is not an easy task.There are several aspects to take into consideration. This thesis focuses on the problems due to voltage collapses in a transmission system.The ability to foresee an upcoming collapse is ViTal to maintain stable operation of the grid. The grid operator at Svenska Kraftnät (SvK) uses the computer program SPICA to predict the maximum transfer limit at specified transfer sections. SPICA uses actual states from the grid to predict the transfer limitation, and a quarter later a renewed estimate is produced and so on. This means that the operator can se his transfer limits vary every fifteen minutes.Our task in this project is to validate the accuracy of the limitations obtained by SPICA.

Migration and giving birth are crucial decisions for animals during their life cycle, which may have lasting consequences on their population demography and fitness. Migration can entail a variety of possible effects for an individual, such as access to high quality food and reduced risk for predation. The moose (Alces alces) in northern Sweden is partially migratory and moose females are known to give birth to one or two calves. The synchrony between time of calving and timing of migration has not been compared before, especially in terms of energy maximizing and time minimizing perspectives, which may provide ViTal cues for fitness benefits of migration. I investigated effect of timing of birth and individual life history on distance, timing, stopovers and duration of 190 individually marked female moose that have been tracked for multiple years in ten different areas in northern Sweden.

The purpose of this assignment at SSAB Tunnplåt in Borlänge was mainly to investigate and describe the circumstances for the spare parts stored in storage facilities within the area of operation. Even new facilities which could serve as storage rooms and their opportunities for storing spare parts were an important part of the investigation. This because of the need for improved storing of spare parts. Furthermore, market offers where reviewed for storage of spare parts in more tailored designs. The work will culminate in proposals for improvement which is of importance for the development surrounding the storage and handling of spare parts.

The European Water Framework Directive (WFD; 2000/60/EC) was incorporated into the Swedish legislation in 2004 through the ordinance Förordningen om förvaltningenav kvaliteten på vattenmiljön (SFS 2004:660). The objective is that all water bodies shall reach a good status by the year 2015. In Sweden the comprehensive plans of the municipalities can play a large role in reaching these goals. A comprehensive plan deals with the long term water and land use of the municipality, which can facilitate an early consideration of water management in the planning process of the municipality. In Sweden five river basin districts have been established in accordance with the Water Framework Directive.

Background. Anesthetic-related death in small animal anesthesia is about ten times more common than in human anesthesia. Recent research identifies the early postoperative period as particularly risky and highlights the need for regular and careful monitoring of the veterinary patient during this period. Objective. The aims of this study were to investigate whether there are standard procedures in terms of regulated routine patient observations and record-keeping during the early postoperative period at Swedish veterinary clinics, and if there are any guidelines for monitoring the veterinary patient during recovery. Methods. A small survey including ten Swedish veterinary clinics was carried out as well as a literature review. Results.

Today?s globalisation has opened up borders between countries as can especially be seen with the opening of the European Union. This has increased possibilities of communication and transportation, which has provided companies with greater expansion opportunities throughout the world. However, difficulties may occur when companies choose to establish abroad, for instance when French companies establish in Sweden through subsidiaries, the lack of knowledge and understanding, when it comes to the business culture, customs, and values within the host country, as well as the culture and the structure within the company, may contribute to misunderstandings and inability to work in an amalgamated manner. These barriers are a cause of unsuccessful penetration within foreign markets.

?Livsfrågor är något man måste äga in i märgen?- en kvalitativ studie av två olika skolor om pedagogers syn på sitt bemötande och arbete med barns livsfrågorStudiens syfte var att undersöka pedagogers syn på sitt bemötande och arbete med barns livsfrågor. Även att undersöka vilken roll pedagogerna anser sig ha i arbetet med barns livsfrågor och vilket förhållningssätt pedagogerna anser sig ha då barns bakgrunder ser olika ut. Den kvalitativa intervjumetoden har använts, då målet var att få en nyanserad bild av pedagogers olika arbeten med barns livsfrågor. Intervjuerna har skett på två olika skolor där den ena skolan har en majoritet med elever med svensk bakgrund medan den andra skolan har en majoritet med elever från skilda kulturer.

This paper discusses the world heritage of Falun and its influence on the marketing of Falun as a destination. The reason for this study is the fact that world heritage nominations can lead to an increased pressure on the destination and an increase in popularity for the place. A world heritage is something unique and odd that can be used in the marketing of the destination in the purpose of attracting tourists, company investments and so on. It has been ViTal for the study to interview people that work with marketing or have important rolls within the world heritage.With this background the study is focused on three major questions:What meaning does the world heritage have in the marketing of Falun?Is the world heritage important for Falun? If yes: For who and why?Which organisations/persons in Falun have the greatest influence on the marketing process?In order to answer or discuss this question there are discussions in the paper regarding the notions of place marketing as well as the importance of a well outlined marketing strategy as a basis for the formulation of a product portfolio and segmentation strategy as well as strategy for developing a strong profile on the market.The answers to the question are relative and can have a different view in the future.
