The purpose of this study is to make a qualitative evaluation of the MTFC-program (Multidimensional Treatment Foster Care) on the basis of six youth´s experiences of the program. The study will investigate what the youth experienced as positive and negative about the program as well as finding out what has helped them or inhibited them from the aim of getting out of their criminal lifestyle. A secondary purpose of this study is to make the youth´s voices heard in the research world. The research question is: Which factors in the MTFC-program have helped or inhibited the youth towards the aim of getting out of their criminal lifestyle? For this purpose, a qualitative research method has been used where semistructured interviews have been performed on six youth who have gone through the MTFC-program.

Ett evidensbaserat arbetssätt är idag en nödvändighet/viktig del av svensk sjukvård, men för att patientinformationen ska fungera optimalt är det viktigt att även sättet den förmedlas på vilar på enevidensbaserad grund. Syfte Syftet med föreliggande arbete var att utifrån Patricia Benners domän om sjuksköterskans undervisande och vägledande funktion, studera hur förmedling av evidensbaserad omvårdnad till patienten är beskriven i litteraturen. Metod Litteraturstudie som grundar sig på tio vetenskapliga artiklar. Alla artiklar hade som grund ett evidensbaserat omvårdnadsperspektiv, och artiklarna har analyserats då det gällde patientinformation/patientundervisning utifrån en av Benners sju domäner, den som handlade om den undervisande och vägledande funktionen.

Background Anesthesia-related deaths are common in dogs, especially in the postoperative period, in compare to humans. This study aims to describe and elucidate the qualities of the postoperative care for dogs in Sweden. Method To investigate the postoperative care, a qualitative study was made by interviewing personnel in the animal health care sector. The primary information from the interviews was analyzed in a qualitative manor and a few distinguished qualities came forth. Results These qualities describe the postoperative care and include preventive activities, postoperative activities, monitoring and communication. A variation in regards to the results was seen between the interviewed.

When CPV-2 first emerged it had high rates of mortality, but later studies have shown that most infections are self-limiting and do not require veterinary care. Mortality rates vary greatly, and therefore it is important to determine risk factors for developing severe canine parvovirus enteritis.

Although known and feared for thousands of years, rabies remains a real and present threat to thousands of people, especially in low- and middle income countries. In India, rabies is an endemic disease, causing human deaths every year. The primary mode of transmission is through the bite of an infected dog. Fighting the disease in the dog population through vaccinations remains the most efficient way to eradicate the disease. The knowledge of rabies in India is unsatisfactory, as a lot of people lack awareness about the severity of the disease and the importance of washing the bitten area and seeking medical attention for post exposure prophylaxis when bitten by a dog.

Fysioterapeuten arbetar hälsofrämjande med äldre främst genom att befrämja fysisk aktivitet.Syfte:Att ur ett biopsykosocialt perspektiv beskriva hemmaboende äldres upplevelse av vilka faktorer som har betydelse för deras fysiska aktivitetsnivå. Vidare är syftet att beskriva hur äldre upplever att en fysioterapeut kan understödja deras fysiska aktivitet.Metod:En kvalitativ, semistrukturerad intervjustudie med induktiv ansats användes. Ett ändamålsenligt bekvämlighetsurval gav fem deltagare ?80 år.

The problem of finding targeted medicine is a central problem in chemotherapy. From this point of view the ubiquitin-proteasome system is a highly promising object in the pharmaceutical approach. Proteasome plays a critical role in cellular protein degradation, cell cycle and apoptosis regulation.Proteasome inhibitors are substances blocking the actions of proteasome. Cancer cells are more sensitive to inhibition of the ubiquitin-proteasome system than normal cells. Few scientific studies have studied the subject of longevity among horses over a longer period of time. The knowledge about the Swedish riding school horse population concerning injuries and diseases is insufficient. Generally speaking, riding school horses in Sweden have a more undiversified way to work and work more hours in the arena compared to privately owned horses that have more variety in their possible use. Statistical data from the insurance company Agria have shown that horses in riding schools and education facilities have 22 % higher risk to use their veterinary insurance and 79 % higher risk to be put down and use their life insurance, compared to horses in private care. To create an increased understanding for longevity is it important to have knowledge about the different causes of culling. The aim with this study is to increase the knowledge and enable problem solving within the subject of longevity, median length of life and causes of death.
