Background: Getting older means a series of changes in life, some of which lead toincreased risk of poor health outcomes. Older people who immigrate to a new countryalso need to adapt to new cultures and norms, and having to learn a new language inorder to communicate with their environment. Being older and immigrant thus leads toa double vulnerability. Aim: The aim of this literature review was to examine how olderimmigrants? health is affected by not being able to communicate in a country?s officiallanguage.

As the concept of Lovemark has only been applied in B2C markets, this thesis is directed to find out the applicability of Lovemarks in B2B context. In order to fulfill the research purpose, three main questions are answered based on a cross-sectional research approach: What role do intangible factors play in B2B branding? Is the idea of B2C Lovemarks transferable to B2B context? How should a B2B Lovemark be characterized? The results of the qualitative interviews indicate insights of high investment and involvement, integrated brand communication, balance between function versus emotion, brand?s trustworthy personality, customer partnership, and finally, the potential establishment of B2B Lovemarks.

The master thesis ?Mechanical Integration of an IR-detector in a Micro Cooler? has beenperformed at FLIR Systems AB in Danderyd. FLIR Systems is a world leader in the design,manufacture and marketing of thermal imaging camera systems.The thesis project is divided into to two areas, Production Method and Noise.The Production Method concerns the positioning of a detector on the cold finger within the IRcamera.The detector has to be positiond with very high accuracy at the center of the cold finger,so it can be placed in line with the optical axis to avoid movement of the picture during zooming.The positioning of the detector is at present done with the help of specially designed guides on aplate on top of the cold finger. The design workes well but the special machining needed for thisplate is very expensive.The goal concerning the production method was to derive a new more cost effective method forthe assembling and positioning of the detector on the cold finger by replacing the guides on theplate with a reusable equipment or some other alignement operation.Several concept ideas have been generated with the help of concept generation methods in theform of concept classification trees and concept combinational tables. Two of these conceptswere selected to be further refined.

In this essay, I make a queer feminist analysis of Mats Strandberg?s and Sara Bergmark Elfgren?s teenage novel ?Cirkeln?, which is about six teenage girls who learn that they are witches with a mission to save the world from demons. Using Judith Butler's theories, I examine the norms of sex/gender, ethnicity, class and sexuality found in the text and how these standards are created. I also analyze whether, and if so how, these standards may change when the magical elements enter the text.I also discuss the fact that older Gothic novels with magical elements often have been regarded as queer through history. .

Vid undersökningen användes en checklista för att bedöma sju hamburgerrestauranger i en mellanstor stad i Sverige. Bedömningsområdena var Entré, Vertikal förflyttning Trapp/Ramp, Rum och utrymme, Toalett användbar för personer i rullstol, Beställningsdisk, Skyltning och Inredning.

European cities of today are under the challenge to find ways to stay competitive and flourish in a rapidly changing world, where the old patterns of centrality and periphery not necessarily holds true. New and improved communication networks, a changed political geography in Europe, and the globalisation of not only the financial and industrial markets but also to a certain extent the globalisation of people, have all led to great challenges for cities and regions.In a changed spatial reality the classic monocentric models are challenged by newer models of urbanisation. The polycentric urban region is one such model which has been used to describe urban regions like the Randstad in the Netherlands and the Rhein-Ruhr region in Germany. Regions which lack the single dominant central city of the monocentric models of old, and instead shows a high degree of more equal-sized and sometimes more specialised cities in regional cooperation. The polycentric urban region is in that aspect a possible model for how other urbanised regions in Europe may act to be able to position themselves as attractive urban regions and regional hubs in the European urban network.Polycentric urban regions are not a universal solution, though.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka hur två skolor integrerar barn som nyss kommit till Sverige. Vi gjorde en kvalitativ intervjustudie, där två skolor besöktes. På båda skolorna intervjuades en rektor och en pedagog. Dessa två skolor valdes ut på grund av deras mångfald av invandrarbarn. Den ena skolan har ett större antal barn med annan kultur än den andra skolan som har mesta dels svenska barn.

Vårt syfte är att undersöka om elevers matematiska språk och begrepp gynnas av en ämnesintegration mellan rytmik och matematik. För att kunna besvara våra frågeställningar har vi gjort klassrumsobservationer, elevenkäter, intervjuat fem elever och två pedagoger. Resultatet av vår undersökning visar att pedagogernas språkliga medvetenhet reflekteras i deras undervisning. Pedagogerna använder sig av ett tydligt och korrekt matematiskt språk. Matematiska ord och begrepp tydligt synliggörs i ett för eleverna verklighetsförankrat sammanhang, genom ämnesintegration.

Inducerad pluripotens innebär att man inducerar mogna celler till att övergå i ett pluripotent stadium och bilda så kallade inducerade pluripotenta celler (iPS-celler). Detta görs till exempel genom viral integration av transkriptionsfaktorerna octamer-binding transcription factor 3 och 4 (Oct3/4), sex determining region Y-box 2 (Sox2), Krüppel-like factor 4 (Klf4) och c-Myc. Pluripotenta celler har förmågan att bilda vilken vävnadstyp som helst i kroppen och detta vill man i framtiden använda för behandling av olika degenerativa tillstånd så som Parkinsons sjukdom. Idag kan iPS-celler inte användas kliniskt eftersom de ger upphov till tumörtyperna teratom och teratokarcinom vid injektion in vivo. Under de senaste åren har mycket forskning lagts ned på att hitta metoder som förhindrar/minskar teratombildningen. Ett sätt att förhindra detta är genom att låta iPS-celler differentiera, så att deras pluripotensgrad minskar innan de injiceras.

BAKGRUND Det är i nuläget ej klarlagt huruvida en mjukvävnadsprofil, utan hjälp av en profilröntgenbild, kan användas för att diagnostisera skelettala käkrelationer. Studiens syfte var att analysera möjligheten till att ställa en basal käkdiagnos och att diagnostisera incisivernas lutning utifrån en mjukvävnadsprofil och studiemodeller. METOD Studien har godkänts av Etiska nämnden vid Lunds Universitetet, Sverige. Nio patienter (sex pojkar och tre flickor, 12-16 år) som tidigare genomgått ortodontisk behandling på Tandvårdshögskolan i Malmö selekterades för studien. Patientfallen utgjorde underlag till ett protokoll bestående av extraorala fotografier, fotografier på gipsmodeller samt en panoramaröntgenbild men ingen profilröntgenbild. Protokollet sändes till 217 ortodontister i Sverige (166 protokoll besvarades).

Tillförlitligheten i studien uppstod i form av att fem intervjuer genomfördes och informationen som framkom var till stor del likadan. Validiteten uppstod då ett flertal sektioner deltog i undersökningen vilket gjorde att resultatet kunde appliceras på sektionerna inom Ljungby Kommun och därmed ses som giltigt. Generalisering av resultatet kunde göras på de olika sektionerna inom Ljungby Kommun.Studien genomfördes genom att fem slumpmässigt utvalda personer inom olika sektioner inom Ljungby Kommun intervjuades. Resultatet av intervjuerna analyserades sedan mot olika teorier till exempel förändringar, kommunikation, kulturer i organisationer, kravinsamling och användbarhet av system.
