This thesis tries to explore how different strategies of internal communication are used in actual situations within an organization. Specifically, the purpose is to investigate how the internal communication within the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) has been carried out during their work to change their organizational structure, and, how this can be understood in terms of existing theories for strategic communication. The research questions explored are:What are the chosen strategies used to communicate the changes internally?How can these strategies be understood in terms of existing theories?What are the views of the employees on the communication and what are the relations between their views, the chosen strategies and existing theories?The theoretical ground work chosen is mainly the work by Cornelissen (2008), Dalfelt (2005), Johansson (2011) and Larsson (2008). The method chosen for the empirical part of the study is semi-structured qualitative interviews.

Studier av exekutiva förmågor har visat lägre resultat för unga vuxna födda för tidigt, prematurt, jämfört med jämnåriga födda i fullgången tid. Föreliggande studies syfte var att undersöka ordflödestest som indikator på olika aspekter av exekutiv förmåga samt att utröna vilka förmågor som krävs för verbalt flöde. Resultat på ordflödestest för kontrollgrupp och prematurgrupp, samt inom prematurgruppen, jämfördes. Samvariation med andra exekutiva mått från 18-årsuppföljningen i Stockholm Neonatal Project undersöktes. Antal deltagare var för prematurgruppen 134 och kontrollgruppen 94, totalt 228 testpersoner.

Building Automation Systems in commercial buildings are often designed and installed by different contractors, using equipment and components from different manufacturers. The lack of an accepted communication standard has resulted in a few different standards. Many manufacturers of building automation systems only support one, a few or none of these standards, while developing proprietary system solutions. Regin, who develop such equipment, are planning to adopt an open communication protocol specially designed for building automation - BACnet. As a step in that direction this thesis was announced with the purpose to investigate the possibility to implement BACnet in one of their products and to gain more knowledge of the BACnet protocol.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om lärare är medvetna om hur de använder sin verbala kommunikation i klassrummet. Fokus har även legat på att se i vilken utsträckning lärare använder den verbala kommunikationen för att göra eleverna delaktiga i undervisningen. En undersökning i form av observationer samt intervjuer har genomförts med sex lärare i årskurs fyra. I uppsatsen sker en kort genomgång av vad verbal kommunikation är och vad den betyder för elevers lärande. Skolans styrdokument lyfts för att visa vilka föreskrifter som finns om verbal kommunikation i skolan.

A common form of communication within Facebook is the communication between users via status updates. If you write a status update all your friends have the opportunity to read and to respond to the update. The overall issue of this survey is: how are Facebook users to commu- nicate with status updates?  The survey aims to gain insight and greater understanding of communication patterns and user awareness of social contexts when they write status  updates. The study will act as an attempt to understand a small part of a complex interaction taking place in a social situation.

The essay studies the relationship between communication and organizational culture; to determine if there are any cultural differences between the management of an organization and its employees and to examine how a difference can affect the communication of organizational policies. A case study, where the public school was examined, was used to answer the research question, and interviews were held with relevant people on different levels in the organization.The interviews were analyzed with the theoretical frame of reference as a benchmark. Cultural differences could be identified between different levels in the organization and between the two schools studied. Dementia may cause difficulties in communicating. People suffering from dementia are therefore often described as being unable to take part in meaningful conversation. The responsibility to create understanding in a conversation is shared by all participants. By means of different strategies, participants in conversation can construct understanding through collaboration. How these strategies are utilized in conversation where one or more of the participants suffer from dementia is relatively unknown.

The purpose of this paper was to understand internal communication?s critical tradition by studying the interface of the subjective experience and the objective behavior within a management team. During almost two years this group was observed, several semi-structured interviews were conducted and a specific incident was analyzed. The interview texts where analyzed, using the Meaning Constitution Analysis developed by Roger Sages (2010) at Lund University. The observations were summarized in sociograms showing relationships in the organization.

Syftet med studien var att utifrån vetenskaplig litteratur beskriva hur vårdpersonalen på ett professionellt sätt kan bemöta och kommunicera med personer med demenssjukdom. Metoden var en beskrivande litteraturstudie. Artiklarna analyserades beroende på om de handlade om Verbal och Icke-verbal kommunikation och bemötande samt Faktorer som påverkar kommunikation. I resultatet framkom det att när vårdgivaren visade respekt, omtanke, såg patienten som en individ, stöttade dess förmågor, gav kort och tydlig information, använde ögonkontakt, hade kunskap om patientens livshistoria och intressen samt använde sig av beröring ledde det till en förbättring av kommunikation och bemötande. Episoder av klarhet ledde till en tillfällig förbättrad kommunikation.

Introduktion Rädsla för komplikationer är en faktor som man vet påverkar följsamheten. Oföljsamhet kan vara ett resultat av att patienten inte ser de långsiktiga fördelarna med sin behandling utan ser biverkningarna som ett alltför stort problem för att fortsätta sin läkemedelsbehandling. Det har visat sig att patienter gör en mer realistisk riskbedömning om biverkningarna presenteras numeriskt istället för verbalt. The overall aim is to study the choices regarding the group composition and working methods that might occur in four individual teachers? lessons plans with the intention of increasing the pupils? knowledge through oral communication. The main focus is to explore what the teachers think of the choices they make and how they believe these changes affect the pupils. It is also focused on how the teachers perceive their pupils? learning is improved by oral communication and how they incorporate all pupils, especially the pupils who rarely participate in classroom activity.The methods used are qualitative studies using interviews and observations.

Denna uppsats undersöker hur lärare som undervisar i grundskolans tidigare år resonerarkring verbal kommunikation i sin undervisning i ämnet engelska. Intervjuade lärare är allasituerade på olika skolor i en mellanstor stad i sydvästra Sverige. Studien ämnar synliggöralärares resonemang kring huruvida deras tidigare erfarenheter påverkar den verbalakommunikationen i deras engelskundervisning. Undersökningen har utförts utifrån kvalitativmetod med hermeneutisk fenomenologisk ansats. Utifrån kvalitativa intervjuer har kunnattolkas hur lärarnas tidigare erfarenheter, förväntningar på eleverna och uppfattning om sinundervisning med fokus på den verbala kommunikationen ser ut och hur detta har påverkathur lärarna resonerar.
