Ytans djup : Visuell ikonicitet i den grafiska konstformen lyrik
This thesis revolves around an obvious fact: printed (or otherwise two- or three-dimensional) poetry is always and inevitably visual. By analysing a representative selection of poems, including conspicuously experimental and image-like poems as well as examples of more conventional poetry, the thesis points out that visual iconicity is an equally inevitable consequence of the visuality of printed poetry. The analysis applies terminology relating to iconicity and intermediality (presented by Lars Elleström, whose theoretical basis is the semiotics of Charles Sanders Peirce) to the selected poems, while avoiding making too specific interpretations, in order to maintain a discussion of the ever-present phenomenon of visual iconicity as such, and not just the individual examples.Rather than introducing visual iconicity specifically to confirm more or less specific interpretations of poetic texts, this method of approaching poems as two-dimensional works of art is what this paper mainly aims to propose, as a productive starting point for literary analyses in general; as is concluded in the theoretical framework by Elleström, the actual modal and iconic properties of printed poetry contradict mutually exclusive dichotomies such as verbal/visual and text/image. While indirectly visually iconic poems tend to have a wider range of possible interpretations at the outset, the existence of iconic potential, however, does not depend on any specific interpretation..
Professionell identitet : Förskollärares yrkesspecifika kompetenser, i en förskola på vetenskaplig grund.
2011 fick det svenska utbildningsväsendet en ny skollag, i vilken det står att utbildningen ska vila på vetenskaplig grund och beprövad erfarenhet. Tidigare studier har påvisat att förskollärare känner en osäkerhet inför vad det vetenskapliga begreppet innebär. Den här studien syftar till att undersöka förskollärares yrkesidentitet och yrkesspecifika kompetenser i relation till att förskolan vilar på vetenskaplig grund. Studien utgår från ett sociokulturellt perspektiv vilket innebär en syn på människor som deltagare i en social interaktion där handlingar och tänkande är situerade i en social kontext. Studiens empiriska data härrör från fokusgrupper med förskollärare samt intervjuer med en lektor och en professor.
Måltidssvårigheter hos patienter med demens : en litteraturstudie
Syfte med denna studie var att identifiera måltidssvårigheter hos patienter med sjukdomen demens, belysa relevanta omvårdnadsåtgärder och att studera betydelsen av kunskap och utbildning hos vårdpersonal. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie och baserades på 13 vetenskapliga artiklar. Artiklarna hämtades på Högskolan Dalarna biblioteket med hjälp av sökmotor ELIN och i databasen CINAHL. Sökorden som användes var dement*, nursing, eating, problem*, mealtime, apraxia. Artiklarnas kvalitet och evidensgrad baserades på modifierad version av granskningsmallar enligt Willman, Stoltz, Bahtsevani (2006) och Forsberg & Wengström (2008).

Mobbning är när någon eller några, vid upprepade tillfällen blir illa behandlad/e psykiskt och/eller fysiskt. Verbal mobbning, är den vanligaste förekommande mobbningsformen på svenska skolor. De två andra formerna av mobbning som man brukar tala om är fysisk och psykisk. Pojkar är de vanligaste förövarna när det gäller fysisk mobbning. Den psykiska mobbningen står främst flickor för.
Bemötande vid gynekologisk undersökning : Sett ur unga patienters perspektiv
The aim of this study was to describe young women's experiences of midwives/ gynaecologists treatment in connection to gynaecological examination. A further aim was to achieve a better understanding of the factors that can form the basis of the experience of treatment. A qualitative study was performed in which the participants (N=10) was Swedish-speaking women aged 18-25 years, with experience of at least one gynaecological examination. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, using an interview guide. The material was analyzed according to Graneheim and Lundman´s (2004) method for qualitative content analysis.

Reports were given, in a great extent, to events of violence and verbal threats.

Several studies has identified the locker room experience as a potential deterrent for participation in physical education. Both psychological and physical issues arise due to several factors. Psychological issues include different kinds of verbal and physical violations, comparisons between pupils, feeling of vulnerability along with a stressful schedule. The physical environment can contribute to negative experience for pupils in terms of filthy premises and cold showers. These factors may contribute to higher absentee rates in physical education.
En samtalsanalytisk studie av kommunikativa strategier och professionell interaktion mellan logoped-patient med afasi och arbetsterapeutpatient med afasi
In the present study, the institutional discourse in health care was examined, focusing onspeech therapists and occupational therapists in interaction with a common patient withaphasia. The purpose of the present study was to identify common communication strategiesused in the professional conversation between a speech therapist and a patient and between anoccupational therapist and the same patient. Specific research questions were: Whatcommunicative strategies are used in interaction between a speech therapist and a patient withaphasia and between the occupational therapist and the same patient? Are theredifferences/similarities between how speech therapists and occupational therapists interactwith patients with aphasia?Six people in total, two patients in interaction with a speech therapist and an occupationaltherapist respectively, were recorded during treatment sessions of each profession. Generaland specific aspects of the institutional interaction were then analysed according to principlesof conversation analysis.Similarities in the use of closed questions as a strategy to increase the effectiveness ininteraction could be seen between the two different professions studied.

Bakgrund: Stroke är en sjukdom som innefattar olika skador som uppstår i hjärnan som orsakas av en emboli eller en trombos som täpper till kroppens blodkärl där en förträngning finns. Detta gör att hjärnans celler inte får syre. Cellerna dör och en skada uppstår. Tre av fyra som insjuknat i stroke får kommunikationssvårigheter i form av afasi som resulterar i svårigheter att tala och förstå. Tidigare forskning har visat att personer som har afasi är beroende av den icke-verbala kommunikationen.
Läroboksspråk : En studie av språket i två historieböcker avsedda för grund- respektive gymnasieskolan
This essay investigates and compares the readability in two different schoolbooks: Eko Historia (the primary school grade 4-6) and Epos Historia (the upper secondary school). The questions of the survey are:- Which differences in linguistic and layout can be found between books meant for the primary school and books meant for the upper secondary school?- Are the texts easy to read according to the former research in readability?In order to answer the questions structural dimensions as lexicon, syntax, bounds between sentences and narrative voices have been studied. Also the texts disposition and typography have been examined.The results demonstrate that the book designed for the primary school has a verbal structure with an explicit vocabulary, lots of verbs and short sentences. A clear narrative voice gives an impression of spoken language.
"Vi är inga tankeläsare än..." : En kvalitativ studie av bibliotekspersonals upplevelser av mötet med icke svensktalande användare på folkbibliotek
This bachelor?s thesis purpose is to examine how library staff experiences the meeting with non-Swedish speaking users of public libraries, and how they solve different situations. Today there is not much research on this subject but we find these questions important to study because we think it is good to be aware of the situations that can arise and discuss how to solve any problems. To have a basis for this qualitative study we conducted group interviews with library staff, where they are asked about their experiences with non-Swedish speaking users. In the analysis the results of the interviews are compared to previous research and related to communication theory, which is the theoretical framework for this study.
Hästen : ett alternativ inom psykosocialt behandlingsarbete
Syftet med studien var att söka ökad kunskap och förståelse för vad som sker i samspel mellan häst och människa. Syftet var också att belysa hur detta samspel kan ha en inverkan på psykosocial ohälsa genom att intervjua flickor med egen erfarenhet av fenomenet. För att uppfylla syftet ställdes följande frågor: Vad innebär samspel med en häst? Hur erfar flickorna samspelet mellan sig och hästen? Vilken betydelse upplever flickorna att samspelet haft/har för deras psykosociala ohälsa? Studien genomfördes med hjälp av kvalitativa djupintervjuer med flickor utifrån en temainriktad intervjuguide. Resultatet analyserades med hjälp av tre olika teorier inom psykodynamiskt perspektiv - objektrelationsteorin, anknytningsteorin och självpsykologin ? samt med hjälp av systemteoretiskt perspektiv.

Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att undersöka hur barn på två förskolor leker med artefakter och vad dessa har för betydelse för deras samspel och kommunikation. Vi har utgått från sociokulturell teori där människan ses som formad av sin miljö men också själv är med och förändrar den.
