This essay aims to analyse if the Russian military operation carried out against Georgia between the 7th and 12th of august 2008 were executed with adherence to the Russian principles for military deception, maskirovka.   A superior purpose is to assess the situation according to the Swedish Armed Forces task of identifying possible needs for new or changed needs for abilities and competence.   The method used is two-alternative hypotheses which are tried by comparing actual events before and during the Russian-Georgian war with the ten methods of maskirovka, compiled from military analytical literature. Syftet med studien var att utvärdera patientens upplevelse av den postoperativa smärtan och behandlingen av denna när den perifera nervblockadens effekt avtagit efter operation av distal radiusfraktur. Metoden som använts är en empirisk kvantitativ deskriptiv enkätstudie. Tjugo patienter deltog i denna pilotstudie. Demografin stämde väl överens med de statistiska data, som visar att distrala radiusfrakturer är vanligt förekommande hos kvinnor i åldern 55 år och äldre. Resultatet av studien har påvisat att många patienter har upplevt mer smärta än vad de själva varit beredda på.

Then the language learning process and the approach in a preparatory class differs itself from a general class. The methods conducted in a preparatory class are not just focused on teaching as in a more traditional method. Achieving the objectives in a preparatory class depends on the individual student and the cohesion in the group. Students have different backgrounds and knowledge level, therefore it is extremely important that the teachers use different work methods in order to achieve and to promote the students' language development. The aim with this survey is to get the knowledge about what education methods is being used by teachers in a preparatory class.

Our purpose was to investigate which readiness, different sectors in a minor city has to meet honour-related problems. We wanted to investigate how they manage honour-related problems and how the co-operation in these cases is between different authorities. Our questions at issue were: Which knowledge's, experiences there are about the culture of honour, which resources has the authorities and how is the co-operation between different organisations work?We have collected present documentation and research about the subject. We made eight quality interviews with different persons within professions, as we understood, came in contact with cultures of honour.

Still, it happens every day, far and near. Some of these killings happens in war-like situations, where atrocities against humanity occur. The international community has since the founding of UN in 1945, a duty to intervene where crimes against the human rights occur. This is a difficult task, because, in order to intervene and help those in need, the situation might postulate states violating states sovereignty.

Boliden Mineral Ab's mine in Garpenberg, Dalarna is going through a massiveexpansion. The annual ore production is being increased from 1,4 million tons to 2,5million tons in less than two years period of time. Along this expansion thedepartment of mining techniques is administrating a project of optimizing the shortterm planning for the mining production. Garpenberg have since mid 90s storedinformation from all mining processes in a database.The information consists of time data from all the different activities required in themining process, for example charging, blasting, loading etc. The database also containstime data of delays that are affecting the production.

Detta för att ge en ökad förståelse samt bidra till utveckling av reglemente för luftburen bataljon.Den metod som används i uppsatsen är komparation med litteraturstudier som presenteras i deskriptiv form. Den teknik som används för insamling är litteratursökning. Två frågeställningar har behandlats; Vilka faktorer påverkar den grundläggande förmågan rörlighet hos luftburna förband? samt vad säger styrdokumenten om förmågan rörlighet vid luftburen bataljon i Försvarsmakten idag?Utifrån mina gjorda litteraturstudier av Operation Market Garden samt styrdokumenten för luftburen bataljon har jag fått fram att följande faktorer påverkar rörligheten vid luftburna förband: ledning (formering av förband, samordning), verkan (direkt, indirekt, pansarvärnsvapen) underrättelser, skydd, materiel/utrustning samt underhåll..

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka omständigheterna kring stick- eller skärskada på kontaminerat material i arbetet hos sjukvårdspersonal, hur de agerat i och efter situationen samt deras reaktioner och tankar i samband med händelsen. Metod: Med hjälp av en enkät gjordes ett stickprov på 50 personer, som besökte en infektionsmottagning i Mellansverige.Resultat: De flesta som skadat sig var sjuksköterskor och de erhöll skadan under ett arbetspass på dagen på en vårdavdelning. Situationen var oftast planerad och gällde en vuxen, vaken och samarbetsvillig patient och incidenten uppkom bland annat på grund av oaktsamhet av personalen med materialet. En icke sticksäker injektionskanyl eller en sticksäker provtagningskanyl var de material som i flest fall orsakat skadan. Hälften av deltagarna upplevde att de var stressade i situationen. Hälften kände sig lite eller ganska oroliga över händelsen och många kommenterade händelsen med känslomässigt starka uttryck.

Genom en granskning av två valda operationer genomförs en analys efter varje skede. Den teknik som använts för insamling är litteratursökning. En frågeställning har behandlats: Hur såg sambandet ut mellan högt stridstempo och de grundläggande förmågorna ledning och rörlighet vid Operation Market Garden samt Operation Merkurius?Utifrån mina gjorda fallstudier visar resultatet på att i manöverkrigföring är begreppet högt stridstempo av stor vikt för att lyckas med striden.

Som operationssjuksköterskor med lång erfarenhet av operationssjukvård har diskussioner kring munskyddets vara eller icke vara funnits, huruvida munskyddet verkligen skyddar patienten mot postoperativ infektion, eller varför munskydd egentligen behövs. I rollen som operationssjuksköterska ingår ett ansvar för patientens säkerhet, däribland ingår att se till att hygienrutiner följs.Om en patient får en postoperativ infektion orsakar det ett extra stort lidande för patienten, vilket även kan innebära att vårdtiden blir längre. Om operationssjuksköterskor kan undvika detta lidande för patienten genom att använda och hantera skyddsutrustningen i form av munskydd på rätt sätt uppnås ett av målen på operationssalen. Problemformuleringen är: på vilka vetenskapliga grunder rekommenderas användandet av munskydd? Syftet med studien är att beskriva på vilka grunder munskydd bör användas på operation.Metoden är litteraturstudie som är en litteraturöversikt.

The aim of this masters thesis is to examine the picture book canonization process in pre-schools. To succeed in this I have examined what pre-school staff believe to be the criteria of a good picture book. Together with an observation of the pre-schools current collection, other factors which can influence the collection of the picture book are included. This constitutes the foundation for a description of the pre-school picture book canon. To pursue this goal, I have used the methodology of focus group interviews with staff from two pre-schools in a middle-sized town.

An investigation of the heat impact of laser cutting on the material properties when producing tensile and impact test specimens of different steel types of varying thickness has been performed. The purpose of the thesis project was to provide recommendations regarding how much material that needs to be milled from the laser cut edge before tensile and impact tests. The study has been performed partly by investigating the test specimens by heat camera when the specimens were cut in the laser cutting line and partly by performing hardness tests, investigation by microscopy, and tolerance and roughness measurements and tensile tests of the laser cut material and material produced in the traditional multi operation machine. The results show that the heat affected zone in the thicker materials is greater than previously thought of, and that the currently used recommendation has to be adjusted. The study clearly shows that the thicker the material, the greater the heat affected zone, independently of the steel type, since the thicker material takes longer time to cut.

To be able to maintain an adequate ITservice for various users and needs,more municipalities are looking at thepossibility for mergers of local ITdepartments. One solution for mergingmultiple services/functions and creatingsynergy opportunities is called SharedService Center (SSC). The concept of SSCis that the administrative serviceitself becomes a core activity withinthe organization. The aim of this thesisis to provide municipalities who areconsidering a merging of their local ITdepartments with recommendations on howto design the Shared IT Service Center.Recommendations are outlined based on ananalysis of IT-management literature,reports and by conducting a study onthree ongoing collaborations.The conclusions drawn from the studysuggest guidelines for the design of aShared IT Service Center formunicipalities.
