Syftet med denna studie är att ge en bild av hur lärare i svenska på gymnasiet ser på datorspel som texter inom ämnet svenska. Inledningsvis har en enkätundersökning genomförts bland svensklärare på gymnasiet i Luleå och Bodens kommuner, därefter har kvalitativa intervjuer med tre lärare genomförts med enkätsvaren som grund för ett strategiskt urval. Resultaten visar att de studerade lärarna generellt sett har låg kunskapsnivå och få erfarenheter av datorspelande. De vittnar dock om att spelandet är vanligt hos deras elever. Flera respondenter har aldrig kommit på tanken att nyttja datorspel som text och hänvisar detta till brist på engagemang och kunskap om spelen.

Vår undersökning om läsprojekt på viskastrandgymnasiet som innebär 20 minuters skönlitteratur läsning på första lektionen på dagen utfördes via enkätutdelning till årskurs två elever från 5 olika program. Vi ställde 12 bestämda frågor i syfte att få information om elevers åsikter angående läsning och dess effekter i utveckling av läsförståelse och kunskap. Resultatet har visat att en majoritet av tillfrågade eleverna bekräftar att 20 minuters läsning under den första lektionen på dagen ger positiva effekter i deras läsförståelse, skriv förmåga, avslappning, koncentrations förmåga och utveckling i kunskap. Att 20 minuters morgonläsning är viktigt håller 67 % av elever med om, men vår undersökning har också visat att det finns en minoritet med Ca 33 % av eleverna alltså 16 av 49 tillfrågade, som inte tyckte det. Tidigare nationella och internationella undersökningar visar att elevers läsförståelse har försämrats, vilket beror på läslusten hos elever.

Övervikt och fetma hos barn är ett växande problem i hela världen. I Sverige lider så mycket som var femte barn av övervikt och fetma. När det gäller övervikt och fetma hos barn och har föräldratidningarna en viktig roll.

The blog has become a widely discussed subject, but while marketers do invest in blogs, there is little evidence on the how the blog works as a marketing tool. Therefore, we thought it would be interesting to create a greater understanding of the blog's potential communication effects. To demonstrate the potential of the blog in comparison with more traditional media, we decided to compare the communication effects achieved by a blog with those achieved by an online magazine. We pursued an experiment where we exposed an identical text about a brand to respondents in seven blogs and in seven online papers and measured the resulting communication effects in terms of attitudes and intentions towards the exposed brand. The quantitative study showed that the blog in some basic aspects works as a more traditional media; when the consumer forms positive attitudes toward a text in a blog, the attitude spills over to the attitude toward the brand, with higher buying and w-o-m intentions as a consequence.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the reading methods that pedagogues, active in classes 1-3, use in the first stage of learning to read and how they consider their own choices of methods. In the theoretical background I sort out the basic differences between synthetic and analytic methods of acquiring the skills of reading. The analytic reading method means that the skills of reading starts with the complete text in order to later analyze the parts of the text. The synthetic method approach is based on a reading method where the parts are linked as a whole. The two methods are considered antipodes but can also be looked upon as complements in the current governing documents.

I FORM is the biggest health magazine of Scandinavia. It is a magazine that treats subjects like health food, training, sports gear, sex and relationships. The magazine addresses women directly and only women appear in the magazine.This is a study on how I FORM portrays women in their segment called ?Addicted to? (Biten av). It is a study of what kind of stereotypes that are used and also what kind of pictures that has been used to portrait the women.

The main purpose of this study is to get an increased knowledge of the content on the Swedish website lektion.se. The study wants to find out if the content can relate to the syllabus for Swedish and the sociocultural view of learning. The questions it aims to answer are how the content of lessons in Swedish in grade 1-5 is related to the syllabus for Swedish and the sociocultural view of learning. This has been a study of text from lessons taken from the website. The study has been made with support from qualitative and quantitative analysis of text.

The Sami people are a national minority in Sweden, but are also considered as native citizens of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia. The world has however a very limited knowledge about the Sami?s and their cultural background.The aim of this proposal is to examine six different history schoolbooks which depict the Sami people in Sweden. In addition, one of the key elements of this proposal is to understand how the selected literature represents the Sami people.Lastly, the proposal also seeks to review if the literature in the schoolbooks represents the elementary curriculum goals (Lpo94).The selected method was to do a text analysis of the literature and to illustrate that is presented in the reviewed schoolbooks. The text analysis is completed with an analysis of the illustrations and pictures that are presented in the selected schoolbooks.The key findings were that the review in majority of schoolbooks has stereotypical descriptions of the Sami people. The Sami people are generally depicted with the hut and the reindeer management in majority of the reviewed schoolbooks.The research about the Sami people is inappreciable in majority of the reviewed literature. In addition, the Sami people are often presented in connection with ?other? history, such as the silver ore in the mines or the territory dispute with settlers from the south of Sweden.

This thesis work involves a quantitative study concerning secondary school students' understanding of older Swedish words in the lyrics in the Lucia song written by Elmfors way back in 1919th. The text has some old words and phrases that today's high school students do not really understand. The study includes surveys of two different classes in high school, a theoretical and a practical program. In some cases students can understand words by the context, but previous research shows results in general weakness in students' existing vocabulary. According to previous research, this is due, inter alia, that young people read and write less today.The results of all students are totally 38%, where the theoretical program has a slightly higher performance.

The following essay is a study of the theatre-play Min Arm, a translation and performance by Per Lasson for Fria Teatern in Stockholm 2009-2010. Actor, director and playwright Tim Crouch wrote the original script My Arm in English in 2003.With basis in intermedial theory, as defined by Jörgen Bruhn, as well as Hans-Thies Lehmann?s theory on post-dramatic theatre this study investigates the meaning-building processes in Min Arm as a theatrical performance. Concepts of the difference between stage play and performance text are borrowed from and inspired mainly by Eli Rozik?s Generating Theatre Meaning.

This essay analyses the arguments of The Swedish Government Official Report 2008:88 which proposes that the Swedish law (SFS) should shift from promulgation in print to elec-tronic promulgation on a Website. I have studied two aspects of the arguments in the text. On the one hand, the Inquiry?s description of how things might become if their proposal becomes effectuated and, on the other hand, how the present situation is described in the text. The theory I have used is called A Garbage Can Model of Organizational Choice, which pictures organizations as often irrational in dealing with problems, solutions and decision making.

Intresset för de naturvetenskapliga ämnena tycks under de senare åren falnat hos svenska ungdomar. En rådande uppfattning kring denna företeelse är att den grundas i de naturvetenskapliga ämnenas abstraktion, komplexitet och kunskapsmässiga omfång. Denna studie fokuserar på hur genetikområdet framställs inom tre läroböcker avsedda för biologikurs A.Genetikområdet uppvisar samtliga av ovanstående egenskaper vilka anses vara bakomliggande denna avkylande inverkan på elevers intresse. Studien fokuserar medelst en läromedelsanalys innehållandes diskursanalytiska inslag hur ämnesområdets problematiska egenskaper materialiseras och eventuellt motverkas inom modern pedagogisk text. Från studiens redovisade resultat kan vissa gemensamma drag urskiljas i den granskade litteraturen.

I den aktuella studien genomfördes fyra intervjuer med fyra stycken deltagare. Två av dessa var lärare i den svenska grundskolan och de andra två från den chilenska grundskolan. Valet av dessa deltagare utgick ifrån att få den information som behövdes samt för att få svar på de olika aspekter studiens frågeställningar kräver. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur grundskolelärare tänker kring elever i behov av särskilt stöd i Sverige och Chile. Frågeställningarna är om vad grundskolelärarna talar om att arbeta med elever i behov av särskilt stöd i Sverige och Chile? Och om elever i behov av särskilt stöd får hjälp i Sverige och Chile? På vilket sätt i sånt fall, enligt grundskolelärarna?Intervjuerna har en kvalitativ ansats och syftet var att genom intervjuerna undersöka hur grundskolelärare tänker kring i att arbeta med elever i behov av särskilt stöd i Sverige och Chile.Slutsatsen i undersökningen är de grundläggande arbetsvillkor som de olika lärarkategorierna arbetar under utmärker deras arbete med elever i behov av särskilt stöd.

In this exam paper, a text analysis has been conducted in the context of ethnicity, examining the most popular library books borrowed by children between the ages of 9-12 years old. The bookshave been selected at two different libraries, located in two different socioeconomic areas. The aim is to examine whether ethnicity plays a role in the choice and content of literature in the two areas. The analysis takes into account class, sex and gender, all of which combine in the context of ethnicity. The framework within which I have based my questions are; In the context of ethnicity, is there a difference in the content of the most borrowed children's books at the two libraries located in areas of diverse socioeconomic background, is the choice of literature affected by the area in which library visitors live and is the content of the most borrowed books specific to what children is each particular area can identify with ? Having analysed the most popular books at both libraries, it has been concluded that there are differences in the two areas when it comes to children's choice of literature.
