Föräldrars utbildningsnivå : En studie om hur elevernas prestationer som påverkas av föräldrarnas bakgrund
This study is about how students 'performance in school is influenced by parents' educational background. The study has been performed by cooperation with two schools in Stockholm. One class in each school has participated and the students have amongst other questions answered regarding their grades in natural science subjects. To examine whether parents 'educational background affect students' performance, a quantitative survey in the form of poll has been conducted. Even a literature review was conducted in this area to get a clearer picture of how parents' educational background affects the performance of students.This study shows that students who have academic parents perform better than students who have not got academically educated parents.
Returbiljett till apornas planet : En studie om primär och sekundär adaption
The purpose of this essay is to study two film adaptations of the original Planet of the Apes novel and see what kind of relationship the two adaptations have with each other. The main question is if the secondary film adaptation is restricted by the primary and if the relationships between these two are as two separate adaptations or as a remake of an adaptation. What the results of the study show is that the secondary adaptation can not be seen as a remake even though it gets some of its inspiration from both the original story as well as the primary adaptation. The secondary adaptation is, however, restricted in what it can adapt due to the primary adaptation having the first pick, at least if the secondary adaptation wishes to be a whole new adaptation and not a remake of the primary. The study shows also that the fidelity in the secondary adaptation is not necessarily to either the original or the primary but to the knowledge the audience has about the Planet of the Apes universe which they have gathered from all of the important versions of the story.
Klassifikation av litteratur om film och TV ? En komparativ studie av Klassifikationssystem för svenska bibliotek (SAB) och FIAF Classification scheme for literature on film and television
The aim of this thesis is to compare two different classification schemes with each other and see what the differences and similarities are when classifying literature concerning film and television. One of the schemes is of general kind, Klassifikationssystem för svenska bibliotek (SAB) and the other is a special system, FIAF Classification scheme for literature on film and television. The focus of the examination is on comparing the structure, contents and division of firstly the main classes and secondly on comparing the notation and the auxiliary tables in the schemes. The theoretical framework of the comparison is based upon theory of classification but the conclusions drawn are though mostly of a more subjective character. In addition to the comparison itself interviews have been made with four libraries, two with experiences of SAB and two with experiences of FIAF.
Folkbibliotekets pedagogiska uppgifter - en diskursanalys av fyra bibliotekstidskrifter
The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine the contemporary educational tasks of the Swedish public library as they manifest in Swedish library journals. Our main question at issue is: Which educational discourses are there? And in relation to our main question: how do the concepts of information literacy, lifelong learning and adult education relate to each other? Is there an antagonism between the public library's duty to supply fiction as opposed to non-fiction? and: What are the consequences of these discourses in the service provided by the library?Our theoretical starting-point is the discourse theory as proposed by Ernesto Laclau and Chantal Mouffe. We analyse 39 texts from four Swedish library journals: Ikoner, bis, DIK-forum and Biblioteksbladet. The analysis is done in two phases.
Bedömning : för en högre måluppfyllelse i matematik i grundskolans tidigare år
Assessment is considered one of the most important tools used today by people in almost everything they do and learn. This also applies to school, where assessment is considered as a constant companion to teaching and used in order to develop students' learning and skills. Assessment is also an educational necessity which has different purposes and therefore different consequences. The idea of ??this thesis was on the basis of the interviewed teacher's perspective to investigate what role the formative assessment has on the development of pupils' learning and knowledge in mathematics for primary education, and explore how the teacher can, according to my informants, work with this assessment practice in the classroom so that it promotes the learning of the students in the best possible way. To carry out this study, I used qualitative research studies, the interview method, and also talked to five different teachers in the lower school ages on their view at the work of the formative assessment. Theoretical basis of the thesis is also based on the research that says that the assessment can be used to promote student learning and knowledge, but also the teacher's learning?s in the educational process: assessment can and should be an assessment for learning.
"Programmet har ju en låg status" : Gymnasielärares tankar och attityder om elever på yrkes- och studieförberedande program
This paper is named ?The status of the programme is low? ? Gymnasium teacher?s thoughts and attitudes towards students in the vocational- and the educational programmes. The purpose is, as the title reveals, to examine the attitude of four teachers in the Swedish gymnasium towards the vocational and the educational programmes and the students that attend either one of them. This purpose is accompanied by research which says that the educational programmes? status is higher than one of the vocational programmes.
Auditiv Transport : Skillnader mellan auditiva dramer och film
Finns det skillnader i hur vi upplever auditiva dramer gentemot hur vi upplever film? Med hjälp av transporteringsteori och radiodramats historia undersöker detta examensarbete hur vi upplever auditiva dramer gentemot film. En historia har framställts som ett auditivt drama och som ett audiovisuellt drama och ett tidigare känt verk även det skapat både som auditivt drama och audiovisuellt drama har använts för att låta 26 respondenter uppleva två historier i två olika medier. Detta för att se om det finns skillnader i hur transporterade åhörare/åskådare blir av berättelser berättade genom olika medier.Undersökningens resultat pekar mot att skillnader i transport är små.En slutsats man kan dra av detta är att auditiva dramer kan användas mer i marknadsföringssyften, ?hype?-skapande och franchising av spel, film och serier.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate, analyse and interpret the educational ideals of the ABF (Workers Educational Association) as they are understood by five members within ABF. The paper also examines how the educational ideals are represented in the national guidelines and statues of the ABF. The basic theoretical perspectives are intercultural theory and theories about Bildung and adult liberal education in a multi-cultural pedagogical environment presented by Bernt Gustavsson and Hans Lorentz respectively.The empirical study consists of five semi-structured interviews and a text study of the official documents of the ABF. The data is interpreted with hermeneutic and semiotic tools. Organisational theory focusing on organizational culture has also contributed to the study.The result of the study, when analysed in accordance to the methods, shows mainly four things.
Kortfilmen i filmen : En studie i Saul Bass anpassning av förtexter till det individuella verket.
In this paper, I have examined if and how Saul Bass adapts his title sequences to the respective film in the matter of genre, plot, milieu, feeling and appearance. Saul Bass was really a graphic artist who has made himself a long career in film production, foremost as a creator of title sequences. Of all the films Bass has created title sequences to, I?ve chosen six films, whose title sequences I analyse more thoroughly. I do this to point out the differences between them and thus also show how Bass adapt them to the individual work.

Haidi Thun (2010). Koppla på hjärnan! En studie kring hur Educational Kinesiology och Brain Gym används i arbetet med barn och deras lärande. Malmö: Lärarutbildningen, Malmö Högskola. Syftet med mitt arbete har varit att ta del av fyra pedagogers erfarenheter av att arbeta med Educational Kinesiology och Brain Gym med elever i åldrarna 6-12 år. Jag har genom min empiri försökt närma mig en förståelse för Educational Kinesiology och Brain Gyms fördelar alternativt nackdelar.
Företags motiv till produktplacering i film
Produktplacering utvecklades på 1920-talet inom amerikansk film och huvudsyftet då handlade inte om att tjäna pengar. Produkterna lånades på den tiden bara ut till skådespelarna för användning. Senare upptäckte företagen styrkan att koppla samman produkten med skådespelarna och produktplacering började att användas som ett promotionverktyg. Inte förrän på 1980-talet började företag betala filmbolag för att få placera sina produkter i filmer. Produktplacering används för att demonstrera hur produkten används, öka medvetenheten om ett varumärke och för att identifiera en livsstil på ett naturligt sätt.
Hur väljs spelfilm? Urvals- och inköpsprocessen hos Bibliotekstjänst samt urvalsprocessen hos svenska folkbibliotek
The main purpose of this thesis is to examine the process of selecting films at Bibliotekstjänst and at Swedish public libraries. The tools that have been used for analysing and interpreting the results from the interviews and the questionnaire are theory-based models describing the selection process concerning film and Carl Gustav Johannsen?s quality definitions. The result of the investigation shows that Bibliotekstjänst doesn?t really work with any quality definitions in their selection process.
Film- och litteraturturism : - ett kvalitativt fall för Wallander
Ystad har under lång tid varit en populär turistdestination för svenska och utländska besökare. Staden med dess omnejd har genom den fina miljön och dess historiska byggnader goda förutsättningar att attrahera turister till regionen. Efter filmatiseringarna av Henning Mankells romaner om kriminalkommissarie Kurt Wallander, som utspelas i Ystad, har antalet turister ökat än mer till regionen. Förhållandet mellan böcker och filmer är en väsentlig del av den turism som uppstår efter en berättelse om en fiktiv karaktär i en existerande miljö. Vi ville följaktligen undersöka film- litteraturturism och dess påverkan på en plats.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how acquisition of film for children and young adults in public libraries is carried out. The aim is to investigate why the librarians think a library should have film, if the librarians are bound by acquisition policies and where they retrieve information about films. We also want to know where the films are bought, how the distributors are perceived and how the librarians see their own sphere of competence. The thesis is a qualitative study and is based on interviews with children?s librarians in six public libraries.
Filmundervisning i svenskämnet på gymnasienivå : hur uppfattas momentet av lärare och elever?
Informationssamhället har blivit allt större och har tagit över en del av skolans bildningsmonopol. Ungdomarnas medievanor bör tas på allvar och integreras i skolvärlden för att de ska kunna hantera medieflödet på ett bra sätt. Tack vare att film och TV är något som unga människor är vana användare av är det ett tacksamt medium att arbeta med i svenskämnet. Syftet med vår studie är att ta reda på om lärare på gymnasiet använder sig av film i svenskundervisningen och i så fall på vilket sätt de gör det och hur momentet mottages av eleverna. Vi har valt intervjuer och observationer för vår uppsats.
