3D modeling is a common tool in landscape architecture. Today, there have been new ways in which virtual 3D models are successful tools in the dialogue with the public. These new methods involve children and young people who are groups that is hard to reach and engage in citizen dialogues. The purpose of this work was to investigate how a virtual 3D model works in the landscape architect?s communication with the public through the project Gruvstadsparken in Kiruna. Through workshops, I wanted to communicate Gruvstadsparken to get ideas from participants on how the park can be used and be revisited.

Hypoadrenocorticism (Addison´s disease) results from insufficient production of glucocorticoid and mineralcorticoid hormones from the adrenal glands. The disease is often difficult to diagnose in an early stage because of the multitude of associated vague clinical signs. The standard poodle is one breed presupposed to be at higher risk of developing the disease. The purpose of this study was to give a review of canine hypoadrenocorticism as described in literature, and to characterise Addison´s disease in a population of standard poodles in Sweden. Statistics on incidenceproportions by breed for hypoadrenocorticism from the database of the Swedish insurance company Agria are presented.

This study raises the question how the implementation of the balanced scorecard in the municipality of Gotland has been influenced by the way of communication. A case study is made in the administration of Social-and care management on Gotland. We have been focusing on two different ways of communication. The first one is Shannon and Weavers model where communication is explained as a transmission of a message through a channel to a receiver. This thesis gives an introduction to securitization in general and the tranching of collateralized debt obligations in particular. It does this by using a firm-value model to simulate the underlying portfolio via monte-carlo simulations.The simulations in turn give a loss-distribution from which the various tranchings of the CDO?s are derived. To get an understanding of the influence of different variables involved in the tranching the simulations are repeated several times where the portfolio variables are changed to generate different tranchings. This thesis deals with the design of a combinated rescue-, personal-, and firefighting elevator for a nuclear waste storage facility to be constructed by the client SKB, Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB. SKB:s mission is to dispose of all nuclear waste from all swedish nuclear power plants. The storage facility will be built in the rock 450 m under the surface and will consist of several kilometers of tunnel where capsules containing the nuclear waste will be placed. It will also hold a central area which contains spaces necessary for the operation and construction of the facility, such as elevator hall, storage hall etc. The facility will have two ways of access: a vehicle ramp and an elevator shaft.

Med hjälp av genreteori kring semantik och syntax, gör vi oss medvetna om vad dessa begrepp kan innebära i den process som ingår i modellering av karaktärer. Vi bryter upp karaktärskonceptet i mindre beståndsdelar så som mjuka/hårda ytor och gör en granskning av karaktärernas semantiska drag. Därefter beskrivs den arbetsmetod som användes för att skapa 3D karaktären, där vi berör några av de viktiga punkterna i arbetsprocessen.

Under vår utbildningstid på LTH har vi fått obligatorisk undervisning i AutoCAD medan undervisning i ArchiCAD varit valbar. Ett problem för de studenter som velat förkovra sig i ArchiCAD har varit att det på LTH inte funnits litteratur till ArchiCAD. Det har gjort att de studenter som velat komma igång på egen hand med ArchiCAD fått svårigheter med detta. Handbokens syfte är att hjälpa andra personer, främst studenter, med att komma igång med ArchiCAD på egen hand. De avgränsningar vi valde att göra är att endast visa de funktioner som krävs för att modellera ett hus.

Detta är ett examensarbete om hur man går tillväga för att skapa ett flertal animationssekvenser baserade på bildmanus och andra viktiga faser under animationsprocessens gång, som t.ex modellering. Hela examensarbetet är baserat på ett pågående serieprojekt, Desert Rose. Projektet behandlar visualisering och gestaltning av karaktärer samt överföring mellan 2D till 3D-miljö. Examensarbetet är en konceptuell animation där påhittat gränssnitt (hälsomätare, ammunition etc.), engelsk dialog, filmsekvenser och konceptuell spelbarhet förekommer.Resultatet blev en blandning mellan ett konceptuellt spel och en animationsfilm, med animatics inslag. Bildmanuset förblev en mycket viktig faktor under processen.

The purpose of this thesis was to illustrate the use of internal marketing in the hotel industry. It was decided to conduct a case study on two hotels in the same region, Quality Hotell Statt and Pite Havsbad. The case study is based on personal interviews with the managers of each hotel, who have the ultimate responsibility of the internal marketing work. The research questions were based on why the hotel industry work with internal marketing and how the hotel industry work with internal marketing. The study showed that the hotel industry work with internal marketing on daily basis to get low employee turnover rates, increased employee job satisfaction and high quality services.

In our case study we investigate how media chose to illuminate the process of court proceedings concerning a one specific rape case in Sweden during the spring and autumn 2007. For our study we have chosen to investigate two Swedish daily newspapers, one known to be a serious morning newspaper, Dagens Nyheter, and the other an evening tabloid newspaper Expressen. We would like to see whether the reports of the trial diverge and if that is, how they differ.The rape took place in Stockholm?s posh area named Stureplan in March 2007. The two men 21 and 25 years old, accused for the crime were acquitted after the first instance.
