There is today an increasing amount of scientists advocating EM treatments as an organically compatible method for improving plant growth and yield. However, failure to produce repeatable effects and defining causal mechanisms has made it a study of much controversy and debate. The subject requires indepth interdisciplinary knowledge, making it inaccessible for the majority of biologists, horticulturists and growers. In this combined literature review and pilot study, these issues are addressed by providing a comprehensive introductory review of the topic plant bioelectromagnetics and its potential horticultural usability.

En viss mängd av det matavfall som uppstår kan inte undvikas eftersom ett livsmedels alla delar inte kan konsumeras och därför måste slängas vid matlagning. Trots detta kvarstår faktum att stora mängder mat kastas före användning på grund av att hantering och tillagning inte sker på ett fördelaktigt sätt. I denna uppsats presenteras och analyseras två svenska kommuners system för avgiftsbeläggning inom området för matavfallshantering. Kommunerna har valt att implementera olika system. Gotlands kommun har valt att implementera en viktbaserad avfallstaxa medan Uppsala kommun istället tillämpar en fast avgift baserad på sopkärlets storlek.

This report describes the initial work intended for updating the car sharing service Roadmate. Roadmate is one of the services received by the car rental company Hertz First Rent a Car. The goal was to present the client with design- and structure proposals for a car sharing service that includes high usability and at the same time remains aesthetically pleasing.The work is based on an initial study with data collection, mapping the target user group and its needs. Subsequent structural and design proposals for Roadmates company carpooling service are based on the facts surrounding the target group's needs. The result are well developed and tested design sketches with accompanying visual identity and sitemaps that can be the basis for the further work on the development of the service..

In this bachelor thesis we have studied how interaction designers describe their profession. The research material is based on nine interviews with interaction designers. Questions cover areas such as interaction design tasks, what abilities they consider important, how they describe their relationship to the users, and cooperation with colleagues. We have analyzed the results using key terms such as habitus, field, and capital, as described by sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. The interviewees express humanistic views, and ask for more cooperation between interaction designers, as well as other people within the field of IT production.

This is a study of how emotional engagement can be measured and be taken into account in the development of websites. We believe that emotions become relevant only when viewed in correlation to how users experiencing a webpage. In this study, we developed a tool for use together with user tests where the information about the user's emotional engagement can add new value to the evaluation. The tool allows the user to mark, on the website, his/her emotions and level of engagement represented by colored circles, generating quantiative data on how users feel about the website. The tool is part of a method for evaluating the emotional engagement that we have developed which consists of user testing supported by the tool and accompanied by interviews..

Kraven på gräsytors kvalité inom sportsektorn har under de senaste decennierna ökat kraftigt, exempelvis hur snabbt ytorna blir spelbara efter regn, hur de klarar av att motstå svampangrepp och att överleva vintern utan skador. Det har visat sig att funktionen på avvattningen har stor betydelse för att kunna svara upp på dessa högre kvalitetskrav. Inom sportsektorn är målet med avvattningssystemet just att öka markens lämplighet för rekreation, vilket innebär en gräsyta med hög spelkvalité. Detta uppnås genom att snabbt leda bort överskottsvatten så att marken återfår förmågan att klara trafikbelastning samt genom att skapa en växtbädd med en för gräset gynnsam fördelning mellan luft- och vattenfyllda porer. Vilken förmåga avvattningssystemet får i form av intensitet, kapacitet och hur mycket luft/vatten som finns i växtbädden, kan i praktiken kan vara svårt att säga utan att ha först gjort beräkningar.
