The object of this study is to examine the effective functionality of an OPAC-system while a few participants interacted with the catalogue. I?ve used Carl Martin Allwood?s (1998) four designed usability factors to be able to estimate the effective functionality of the online catalogue. Theoretic basis is Human Computer Interaction together with Allwood?s four defined usability factors.

The purpose of this study is to examine the view of Swedish language teachers on the role of fiction and of school libraries within the compulsory school?s teaching of Swedish of form 6-9. The questions to be answered are:? What part do Swedish language teachers (hereafter called teachers) think fiction is playing regarding the pupils inclination to read and reading promotion?? What is the attitude of teachers regarding the function of fiction in the Swedish subject?? What do teachers consider being the role of the school library in education, and can this be related to the local school library resources?To answer the questions a questionnaire was sent out to thirty-five teachers. Four qualitative interviews were also carried out among the fourteen teachers that answered the questionnaire.

The aim with this independent degree project of master thesis is to find what the user opinions of the intranet in a county council is. The paper seeks how the question about how the culture in the organisation was affected by the use of the intranet. An important part is to explore the expectations and acceptance of the intranet and get a picture of which functions and services support day-to-day work with good quality. One goal is to find out how the intranet users feel that the communication, information and usability can be developed.The focus group interview is a qualitative method that has been applied for gathering data from the respondents, who participate in the investigation from the county council. The used method is unstructured focus groups containing the three dominating categories of staff in the county council.

The Swedish public inquiries and most of the political science advocate reforms in the spirit of participatory democracy to strengthen the democracy. Although it is striking how limited and narrow the scientific documentation is in analysing the effects of participatory democratic reforms. Still, many of the local governments in Sweden are reshaping their organisations according to the participatory democracy model. Det har visats sig uppkomma användbarhetsrelaterade problem vidförflyttning av ett system från en stationär miljö till en mobil miljö. Rapporten har undersöktvilka utmaningar som uppkommer när ett system flyttas från en mobil miljö till en annan snarlikmobil miljö och tar sin utgångspunkt i Ecodriving-lösningar för tunga fordon. En kvalitativundersökning genomfördes för att undersöka och identifiera de utmaningar som uppkom.Analyserat material låg till grund för framtagningen av en prototyp.

Inledning: Allt flera anställda inom myndigheter blir beroende av informationssystem för att utföra sina arbetsuppgifter. Flera fall har uppmärksammats i media där anställda inom myndigheter haft problem med dessa system. Därför vill vi utvärdera användarvänligheten av informationssystemen hos myndigheter utifrån anställdas perspektiv. Metod: Genom en enkätundersökning har vi samlat in svar från 149 anställda inom olika myndigheter. Slutsats: Användarvänligheten i myndigheters informationssystem är generellt verken bra eller dålig, utan medioker.

The effectiveness of communication in the Swedish healthcare system context has long been the subject of debate. Issues stemming from usability, accessability and interpretation affect the lives of patients, and yet the vocal groups in the healthcare communication debate are patients and administrators, not healthcare professionals. With the advent of eHealth services and new demands being put forth on the ability of healthcare professionals' to handle increasingly numerous and innovative systems, it is of more importance than ever to understand the healthcare professionals' work context. This article is based on interviews with five healthcare professionals concerning their views on electronic health records (EHR), eHealth services, trends in healthcare services development in Sweden, as well as their views on the future of eHealth solutions and health information technology (HIT). Analysis of collected information shows an apprehension among healthcare professionals towards electronic communication, as well as a dissatisfaction with the usability of modern healthcare systems.

Contemporary plant design can be examined by how it relates to two extremes - Nature and Art. This idea is explained by Noel Kingsbury in the book The Dynamic Landscape where he places designers and their projects on a gradient (Kingsbury, 2004). Nature, one of the extremes can be represented by a dynamic, species-rich plant design with native species and with nature as the ideal. The other extreme - Art implies a more static view on plant design. Here, the designs consist of colourful flowers, exotic species and cultivars with double flowers.

Fältet för användbarhetstestning är fullt av metoder, men av någon anledning är det en väldig brist på studier som jämför metoderna mot varandra och kontrollerar om dessa metoder, som utger sig för att generera samma typ av data, faktiskt är likvärdiga. Denna studie jämförde två användbarhetstestningsmetoder vid namn SUS och PSSUQ. Först jämfördes metodernas metamedelvärde med varandra för att se om det fanns signifikanta skillnader mellan metodernas rådata och sedan utökades analysen till att jämföra metodernas resultat med den normativa mall som respektive metod ger tillgång till. Dessa två olika jämförelser gjordes ett flertal gånger med olika antal försöksdeltagare vid varje iteration.Resultatet av studien visade att inga statistiskt signifikanta skillnader fanns mellan metodernas metavärde (värden transformerade till en skala mellan 0 och 100) och att inga statistiskt signifikanta skillnader hittades mellan dessa två mätinstrument då deras resultat jämfördes mot de normativa mallar som metoderna ger tillgång till, men även om inga statistiskt signifikanta skillnader hittades visar resultatet på en viss skillnad i hur ett system uppfattas beroende på vilken metod som används, vilket innebär att liknande studier borde genomföras..
