This paper focuses on the subject of Simone de Beauvoir and how she creates her view of motherhood. With help from Toril Moi?s method ? which she calls personal genealogy ? as a standpoint I have read Beauvoir?s autobiography Memoirs of a Dutiful Daughter with and against her essay about women, The Second Sex.The genealogy tries to understand the term ?making? and the idea of production or construction and the personal genealogy sees the subject ? the person ? as an extraordinarily complex effect of a whole network of different discourses or determinants. In order to be able to understand Beauvoir?s view on motherhood I have read her philosophy with and against the feminist philosopher Ulla M.

The aim of this study is to describe a group of youths in compulsory care at a SiS institution in the south of Sweden. The study focuses on intelligence (measured with WISC-III) and self-report, i. e. what the youths think of themselves (measured with Jag tycker jag är). Attempts were made to see if background factors (based on information from the standardized ADAD-interview) seem to be coherent with intelligence and/or self-report and if so, what those background factors are.

Metod: Att genomföra en SWOT-analys samt att göra en litteraturstudie på böcker skrivna av Jan Gehl, Gordon Cullen och Kevin Lynch. Att se över Mölndals Stads förslag till stadsförnyelse i Mölndals Centrum och utveckla detta. Resultat: Rekommendationer och förslag på åtgärder har arbetats fram med utgångspunkt från analyser och Mölndals stads planförslag.

I stadsranden sker det fysiska mötet mellan vägar och gator samt mellan stad och land. Här sker även mötet mellan urbana och rurala ideal. Syftet i detta arbete är att identifiera och belysa de urbana och rurala ideal som ligger bakom vår uppfattning om stad och land. Dessa ideal står i fokus för den litteraturstudie som belyser det bipolära förhållandet mellan den pastorala naturliga landsbygden och den vitala kulturella staden. Bakgrunden till dessa ideal studeras samt hur gestaltningen och utvecklingen av stad och land påverkats av dessa ideal.

Kan polisnärvaro skapa trygghetskänslor hos människor? Studien har undersökt förhållandet mellan människors upplevda trygghet och tre olika typer av polispatrullering i en relativt trygg och relativt otrygg stadsmiljö. För att besvara frågeställningarna genomfördes en enkätundersökning där respondenterna, 112 män och 131 kvinnor (M=30 år, SD=12.98), fick skatta sin upplevda trygghet utifrån bilder med de tre olika typerna av polispatrullering. Resultatet indikerade att alla typer av polisnärvaro ingett trygghet i den relativt otrygga stadsmiljön. Polispatrullering till fots frambringade mer trygghetskänslor än polisbilspatrullering.

The public interest in central living in today?s cities has led to an increasing effect of traffic noise pollution, and today 20% of the inhabitants in Sweden suffer from noise a level that exceeds the limits. At the same time the traffic keeps increasing, and recent researches shows that traffic noise pollution and several of today?s most common health issues are connected, for example, reduction of performance, sleeping issues and cardiovascular diseases. For this cause rules, guidelines and environmental goals has been developed, as well as software?s which calculates the levels of pollution, all this to investigate and improve the environment.

Vallentuna municipality in Stockholm County, is planning to develop a management plan for a forest area owned by the municipality. The property is an urban forest and the hiking trail Roslagsleden runs through it. Hence the municipality intends to take extra care of the outdoor recreation interests, as well as forest biodiversity, but at the same time use the area for forestry. This study discusses how these three interests, recreation, biodiversity and forestry, differ in their views of how a forest should be managed, where they disagree and how they can coexist in the management of this area. In this study, a vegetation mapping of the area and an assessment of the forest?s conservation values was carried out.

We are surrounded by sounds. There is always something that makes a sound: a breeze through the leaves, traffic on a distance or your own blood rushing through your veins. Human will always be surrounded by sounds which makes it an important part of our lives. Therefore the sound should have a big influence on how we perceive our surroundings and interpret our world. This essay inquires into what sounds can mean to an open space and urban spaces.

In my essay I will study the injustice within science in movies, in this particular case: Archaeology. This essay will also examine whether there is reason to believe that there is aconnection between this unfairness and what's being displayed of the archaeologist in popular culture. In my case I have decided to focus on the movie industry because it's a dominant part of our daily life. I have chosen to explore two different groups of students studying an occupation. One is, of course, the archaeological institution at Lund University, and the other is a high school (upper secondary school) program called ?Omvårdnadsprogrammet? at Rönnens in Malmö.

The title: ?Klara färdiga GÅ? can be translated as ?Ready steady GO?, and is ment as a request to start move. In this project I want to invite people to walk more by creating creative, demanding and playful walkways and paths, where the body can be allowed to work just a tiny bit harder.It?s because walking means exercise and fresh air, for free and without spetial equipment. Walking can also be fun, it allows people to stop, change direction and experience things.I think activity should be fun, inspired by children playground my project is a contribution to how adults might stay healthier in a city, where too often healthy activity is solely confined to the gym or sports fields.

We travel more nowadays. The increasing travel rate generates greenhouse gases which in the long run cause an increasing number of natural disasters over the world. Car traffic is a major contributor to this development. Out-of-town shopping centres have historically good accessibility for car traffic. This study aims to look into what are the factors that influence the choice of transport mode for dwellers in the outskirts of a town when going to out-of-town shopping centres.

This study aims at using discourse analysis to analyze SFI students attitudes to religion and religiosity in an SFI-context. The questions are: How is the discourse constructed and maintained by religion and religiosity of SFI students in an SFI context? How do SFI participants experience that their religion has affected their time at SFI?Using a case study approach, interviews were conducted with a group of SFI students. The results show that the religious discourse in SFI is influenced by the SFI-context and affected based on the current education discourse that exists there. Furthermore, the discourse is designed and maintained by the participants private religious beliefs and the religion of the majority of the group, One canhere speak of a strong social unit forming a plausibility structure The power structure that emerges is that the majority has the power to define the significance of religion and place within the SFI context. In the SFI-context the participants view is that religion is something private that should not be expressed in the school environment.

My work deals with large scale design of the urban fringe. The thesis is divided in three parts; ?Current viewpoints?, ?Infra City ? conditions ? and ?Infra City ? project?. In the first part, I go through the history of trade shortly. Then I discuss the concept of nature, which ends up in a linkage between natural science and aesthetics in landscape architecture. The link between those two makes a project stronger and more multifunctional. The object of my case, Infra City, is a mall situated north of Stockholm on both sides of the E4 motorway going to Arlanda airport.

Syfte - Kan utrikesdepartementet genom sina landrapporter, som institution, verka bidragande till ett reproducerande av normativa föreställningar och diskurser kring etnicitet, religion, klass, kön och sexualitet?Frågeställningar - Hur används begreppen etnicitet, religion, klass, kön och sexualitet i Landrapporterna samt vilka eventuellt styrande diskurser aktualiseras i landbeskrivningarna och hur kan i så fall dessa verka diskriminerande och stigmatiserande? Metod - Studien är en kvalitativ diskursanalys av Utrikesdepartementets landrapporter för tio länder där poststrukturalistiska teoribildningar ligger som grund för analysen. Resultat ? Studiens resultat visar att det i Utrikesdepartementets landrapporter förekommer eurocentriska diskurser kring de begrepp som studien undersöker. I flertalet rapporter förekommer det hegemoniska diskurser där islamofobi, heteronormativitet och ekonomiska diskurser tenderar att konkurrera ut övriga diskurser.

Studiens syfte var att belysa behandlingspersonals uppfattningar om faktorer och händelser som kan vara avgörande för missbruksprocessen, i relation till forskningen inom området. Frågeställningarna avsåg att undersöka vilka händelser och faktorer som kan vara avgörande för vägar in i samt vägar ut ur ett substansmissbruk. Det avsågs även att undersöka uppfattningar om återfall samt upphörande av ett substansmissbruk. Metoden som användes var kvalitativ semistrukturerad intervju och genomfördes på en institution med tre kvinnliga behandlingsassistenter. Studien utgår från en hermeneutisk vetenskapstradition.
