This Master thesis is performed at the request of the forest company Mellanskog and the local municipality of Borlänge in Sweden and aims to establish recreational adjusted forest management plan for the areas of Mellsta and Skräddarbacken in Borlänge. In all types of urban forestry it is very important that the management plan are accepted by the general public. To make sure that also these plans of future measures, pass in the public, interview studies have been performed in which the public wishes and interests have been examined and applied in the management plan. To make sure that future measures in the forest may be accepted by the public when the forest harvester enters the woods, it is very important that a well functional work of information has been made. The people living close by the forest shall have been informed a couple of weeks before the time of measures and it must also be good information available that explains what is to be done and why.

The farming system is the basis of human existence through its production of provisions for man. By a continuous exchange of information, energy and material, between the ecosystems and the social systems, the farming system becomes an emergent property. The system's own properties, in the sense of farming methods, circulations and institutions, evolve through an adaptive process. Understanding this process and constantly learn from it, is the starting point for creating a sustainable development within farming systems. Thus, future farming system has to develop strategies that produce food provisions while at the same time takes into consideration the ecosystem's resilience and its integrity, but which also enables an ethical discussion. The institutions within the farming system are understood as links between the ecosystems and the social systems.

Uganda är ett utvecklingsland i östra Afrika. Landet har närmare 36 miljoner invånare och populationen är den fjärde snabbaste växande i världen. Jordbruket gynnas av klimatet och landets bördiga jordar, men är underutvecklat och saknar moderna jordbrukstekniker.

Med hjälp av design science och delar ur en traditionell systemutvecklingsmetodik så har vi tagit fram ett designförslag åt en organisation med vad som kan anses som traditionella problem med interoperabilitet. Vi har därefter härlett en organisationscentrerad metod för att automatisera en affärsprocess ur den erfarenhet vi fått genom att ta fram designförslaget..

This study examines how social workers in child and youth units within Social Services perceive and experience working with violence in young people's intimate relationships. The study aims to highlight whether there is a need for a domestic violence team within the child and youth units. Violence in young people?s close relationships is a growing societal issue, with limited establishment within the research field. While research on the frequency of such violence has increased, studies focusing on tailored support measures have lagged behind.

It is about how the hunters get their traditional knowledge and how important it is to grow up and live in rural areas for the knowledge and understanding of hunting. Uppsatsen är både ett teoretiskt arbete om stadsodling och en gestaltning av en köksträdgård.Under vintern 2010 åtog sig sju studenter uppdraget att skapa en experimentell köksträdgårdsom en fördjupning och vidareutveckling av 2009 års utformning av köksträdgården vidingången till Wanås skulpturpark. Mitt examensarbete består i att utifrån en jämförande studiemellan teorierna om trädgårdsstäder kring förra sekelskiftet och den nu pågåendediskussionen om hur staden ska odlas utarbeta ett gestaltningsförslag för en del avköksträdgården.Examensarbetet grundar sig i en litteraturstudie över trädgårdsstaden där jag tar avstamp iEbenezer Howards visioner om trädgårdsstäder som en lösning på de problem som uppkomtill följd av förra sekelskiftets snabba urbanisering. När trädgårdsstadsidéerna konkretiseradesi Sverige mellan 1905 och 1930 blev det i form av förstäder och egnahemsträdgårdar. Mycketav de ideologiska utgångspunkterna om självförsörjande småstäder och kollektivt ägd markgick förlorade. Jag har jämfört trädgårdsstadens ursprungliga ideal med de tankar och visionersom finns i dagens stadsodlingsrörelser.

The goal with this project was to develop a graphic template for a new magazine about running, STARK Löpning. Besides the looks of the graphic elements, sections in the magazine would be developed. Finally, a discussion is made about how the magazine can be remade into an electronic format.Content analyses has been made regarding magazines with both a main and a specific orientation, to review the graphic relationship between them. A content  analysis regarding a competing magazine about running was also made.An unstructured interview was done with Art Director Petrus Iggström, to find out his way of working when he creates new graphic templates for magazines.The discussion concerning the electronic format was done based on previous research in the subject.The graphic relationship between main and specific magazines turned out to not be significant, they had few similarities. It was often showed that elements regarding the magazine s?identity had been changed, for example text fonts.

Markanvändningen påverkar förutsättningarna för en ytas energibalans och därmed lokalklimatet. Med kunskap om olika ytors klimatpåverkan kan åtgärder vidtas redan i stadsplaneringen, dock saknas tillgängliga verktyg anpassade till stadsplanerare. Den här studien syftar till: (1) att genom en lämplig fallstudie, skapa en grund för ett verktyg som uppskattar klimatpåverkan vid transformering av naturmark till urban mark, (2) att undersöka klimatpåverkan för den planerade markanvändningsförändringen i fallstudien och (3) att undersöka takvegetationens effekt på den planerade markanvändnings-förändringen i fallstudien.Första steget i metoden var att definiera systemgränserna och avgränsa omfattningen av rapporten. Stadsodling och förtätning är två högst aktuella ämnen idag inom hållbar stadsutveckling som har fått och får allt mer uppmärksamhet inom politiken och olika medier på senaste. Dessa ämnen är nära kopplade till den gröna miljön och dess betydelse för människa och miljö och utgör bakgrund för arbetet. Syftet med arbetet är att ta fram ett gestaltningsförslag till en fickpark med odlingstema på en offentlig plats i stadsdelen Limhamn i Malmö. Som inspirationskälla används fruktlunden som svar på odlingstemat. Huvudfokus ligger på parkens utformning, vilka element och funktioner som fickparken bör innehålla och vilket växtmaterial som kan vara lämpligt. Arbetet grundar sig på litteraturstudier inom ovan nämnda bakgrundsområden.

This thesis was performed as assignment from Fazer Food Services. The aim was to survey which food additives that were present in the products in the quotation list of one of their suppliers to the Education and Nursing segment. The aim also was to perform a theoretical analysis of these food additives and to make recommendations which food additives are acceptable and which should be excluded from the products in the future. Food additives which have already been approved are regarded as safe according to the safety evaluation methods available at the time of approval.
