It is a human right to be treated equally and fairly no matter whom you are, what you like or where you are from. The United Nations addressed the important aspects of equally treatment in their declaration of the human rights. It is each conventions state?s responsibility to fulfil all the rights in the declaration. This study focuses on three Swedish county administrative organizational works with the human rights from their annual reports from 2014.

The Regional State Archive in Uppsala [Landsarkivet i Uppsala] has several archives left from various types of educational institutions in the counties of Dalarna, Södermanland, Uppsala, Västmanland and Örebro. This archiv-al guide reveals the main content of some of the school archives. It goes through the archives of the elementary school, state secondary grammar schools and private secondary grammar schools. A few special schools for the blind and the deaf children are included. The essay also brings up records from community homes and reformato-ries for children and young adults who experienced certain difficulties and therefore could not adjust to the ordi-nary educational system.

The amount of cargo has since the 1970s increased in Sweden and the road traffic accounts for a large part of the transported volume. In Stockholm County the amount of cargo is calculated to be doubled in size from year 2001 to 2020 which means a greater need for transport is required. Much of these transports are being carried out by haulage companies of varying sizes which acts externally as carriers for their customers. All of this despite a greater awareness, laws and demands regarding environmental performance.The trend shows that the haulage industry in Sweden are moving towards fewer but larger haulage companies, which means that the competition is getting tougher for the smaller haulage companies. Smaller haulage companies and research about their competitive strategies is a neglected part of this industry.

The aim of this study about wind power planning in forest was to examine the factors and restrictions, which represent technical limitations, biodiversity, tourism and amount of energy for wind farms in Kronoberg County. Suitable areas for wind power were identified from the collected information about planning principles and potential conflicts. From the suitable areas the potential energy gain is calculated. Methods used were mainly a literature review, interviews with experts and practitioners, GIS analysis and a rough calculation of the energy gain. The section of information and facts describes in general wind power planning and possible conflicts.

As the ability to computerize processes and tasks increase, the proliferation of complex systems in our society continues. How these systems are deployed in the organizations where they are meant to be utilized has been shown to have a large impact on how well they function.In January of 2011 the Enköping hospital initiated the deployment of an IT-support for drug management, a module in the general health care system Cambio COSMIC. Other health care providers in the county, and in the rest of Sweden, have had mixed feelings toward the module. Some have outright refused the module, claiming that it is detrimental to patient safety. One of the arguments for deploying the module in Enköping, however, was that it was needed to improve patient safety.The Enköping hospital is considered to be a well organized institution with good leadership and earlier good experiences regarding IT-systems.

Sweden?s environmental work is to set out from 16 national environmental quality objectives. It aims to work for a sustainable society and to solve our current environmental problems today and not pass them on to future generations. The purpose of this study was to evaluate Uppföljning av handlingsprogram för miljömål (a follow up-study of a programme for environmental quality objectives) and to propose new methods to work with the revision of Handlingsprogram ? så genomför vi de regionala miljömålen i Hallands län (a programme to implement the regional environmental quality objectives in the County of Halland), a revision which will start in autumn 2010.

The purpose of these studies is to see how the reception and education of non-Swedish speaking newcomers are organized in a small county, and what you can do to improve this process to achieve a better and quicker integration into the Swedish language and society. To do this, interviews have been performed with four headmasters and different categories of teachers representing all schools in the actual county.In the result it was clear that both headmasters as teachers saw a need to change   and improve reception to provide consistent but flexible support. The headmasters wanted to create written instructions to assure equivalence between the different schools. The majority of teachers wanted to change the current system whereby some pupils, based on their origins, were placed in a preparatory class to learn the language whilst others were placed directly into a Swedish class. All teachers also thought that the help the non-Swedish speaking newcomers were offered was insufficient.The conclusion is that the county must decide and create instructions according to Skolverket?s recommendations and it also ought to offer all pupils the possibility of learning the basis of the language in a preparatory class.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka gymnasieungdomars attityd till teater i allmänhet och Uppsala stadsteater i synnerhet, för att försöka få en bättre bild av hur marknadsföringen motungdomar skulle kunna utformas.Det teoretiska ramverket berör attityder, och marknadsföring mot ungdomar. De verktyg somanvänts är en intervju med en del av Uppsala Stadsteaters marknadsavdelning, enfokusgruppsintervju med nio gymnasieelever samt en enkätundersökning med 161gymnasieelever. Attityden till teater i allmänhet och Uppsala Stadsteater i synnerhet var relativt god blandUppsalas gymnasieungdomar. 58 procent av respondenterna har någon gång besökt UppsalaStadsteater.De som deltog i fokusgruppsintervjun ansåg att Uppsala Stadsteater bör ha tydligareinformation om vad pjäserna handlar om och synas mer. Uppsala Stadsteater bör satsa mer på marknadsföring som riktar sig direkt till ungdomar.

För att avlasta akutmottagningarna i Uppsala samt öka tillgängligheten till vård och därigenom öka patientsäkerhet och vårdkvalitet öppnades år 2008 Uppsala Närakut.   Syfte Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka orsaker som patienterna söker vård för på barnakutmottagningen och vilka av dessa patienter som skulle ha kunnat söka vård vid Uppsala Närakut.Metod Studien var en deskriptiv observationsstudie där data har bearbetats med både kvalitativ och kvantitativ ansats. Studien genomfördes under två veckor under hösten 2010 på barnakutmottagningen på Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala. Under observationstiden studerades sökmönster på barnakutmottagningen samt personalens bedömningar och eventuell hänvisning av patienter till Uppsala Närakut. Under studietiden gjordes 248 observationer vilka dokumenterades på ett särskilt protokoll.Resultat Sökorsaker som var vanliga på barnakutmottagningen var exempelvis extremitetsskada, feber och andningsbesvär.

Uppsala brevterminal är i början av en organisationsförändring som innebär att verksamheten på terminalen kommer att flyttas till en annan ort senaste 2014. Syftet med studien är att beskriva organisationsförändringen ur ett internkommunikationsperspektiv. Studien beskriver hur internkommunikationen har fungerat utifrån vad som har kommunicerats, av vem, på vilket sätt (hur) och vid vilken tidpunkt (när). Dessutom undersöks medarbetarnas mottagande av interkommunikationen under förändringen. Studien bygger på intervjuer med ansvariga för Uppsala brevterminal och en enkätundersökning genomförd på medarbetarna.

After World War II a rapid expansion of the Swedish health care took place. Theexpansion was realised chiefly as a development of the hospitals and was bothproduced and financed mainly within the public sector. The financing consisted to ahigh degree of government grants from the state to the county councils.During the period for this examination (1945-1955) the public responsibility for thehealth care was expanded. This was expressed in the publicly financed system forhealth insurance and the cut down in the charges that the patients had to pay for thehospital care. These changes led to some discussions on the national level but reformscould on the whole, with exception for the suggested reform of the open health care,be implemented.This case-study performed on the county council in Värmland shows that the degreeof consensus was enhanced on the regional level.

During an excavation at Old Uppsala 571 raw garnets was found. In comparison with similar fragments from other sites in Sweden my aim was to prove a completely domestic production of garnets for cloisonné work. I have chosen to look at the archaeological sites of Old Uppsala, Valsta, Slöinge and Paviken and more closely at the material from Old Uppsala and Valsta. My theoretical framework has been to look at the garnets own agency in the contemporary society.Garnet cloisonné was a popular jewellery form during the Merovingian period on the continent although it came to an end in the early 7th century. It was during this time in Scandinavia a new sort of garnet, technique and paste was introduced and the garnet cloisonné was profoundly used for the gear of the elite and ritual objects.

Upplandsstiftelsen är en organisation med målet att gynna friluftslivet i Uppsala län. De förvaltar ca trettio naturreservat, rekreationsområden och Upplandsleden. Besökarundersökningar kan ge information som är användbar för att bidra till stiftelsens mål. Syftet med arbetet var att fram en plan för genomförande av upprepade besökarundersökningar på stiftelsens områden och leden. Planen skulle inkludera besökarstudier och besöksräkning.

Hur ser cykelplaneringen ut i Uppsala? Syftet med denna uppsats är att ta reda på om Uppsala har en bra cykelplanering och om kommunen lägger ner resurser på detta samt vad lånecyklar bidrar med. Två av Europas bästa cykelstäder är Köpenhamn och Amsterdam, vad är det dessa gör som främjar cykling? Cykelplanering anses av vissa som marginaliserat i jämförelse med andra fordons planering såsom bilplanering, samtidigt är cykeln av många inte betraktat som ett alternativt färdmedel då en del städer inte har investerat tillräckligt med resurser för att cyklister enkelt och säkert ska kunna ta sig runt i staden.
