AbstractTrendanalys av rapporterade störningar vid de svenskakärnkraftverkenAnalysis of trends in reported safety-related events atSwedish nuclear power plantsSafdar KargarThis degree project was conducted at the Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM)as part of the bachelors program in Nuclear Engineering at Uppsala University duringthe spring of 2011.The Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM) has developed a Windows baseddatabase called ?ASKEN? during later years. In this database more than 12 000 eventreports are stored sorted in three categories, category 1, 2 and 3. The databasecontains events from the start of Oskarshamn 1 in 1972 till present time.All nuclear power plants in Sweden are obliged to report any deficiency in theirbarriers and/or the defense in depth in obedience to SSMFS 2008:1.When a failure is detected or there is reasonable suspicion of a deficiency, the eventreport should be classified as a deficiency of category -1, 2 or 3 [1].The event reports are logged and archived in the register of SSM. The SSM task forceAnalys av Störningar på elproducerande Kärnkraftverk (the ASK-group), evaluates allincoming event reports and categorizes them according to established criteria.The aim of the project is to study and analyze the event reports in the database andidentity interesting observations and trends which should be investigated morethoroughly by deeper analysis to establish any positive or negative trends of reportedevents. .

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur socialtjänstens stöd ser ut för barn med frihetsberövade föräldrar i Uppsala län. Studien ämnar även undersöka hur faktorer på mikro, meso och exonivå samspelar och vilken betydelse det har för dessa barn. Vidare syftar studien till att undersöka om socialtjänsten beaktar skydds- och riskfaktorer vad gäller barn med frihetsberövade föräldrar Studien bygger på en kvantitativ metod och innefattar även kvalitativ del. Datainsamlingen har genomförts med en webbaserad enkätundersökning. Enkäten distribuerades till 109 socialsekreterare som arbetar med barnavårdsärenden i Uppsala län.

Monuments are raised all over the world of several different reasons. A monument dosen´t only refer just to itself, it also tells something about the historical context they are risen into. The overall purpose of this study is to try to reveal how history is used through the process, and rising of the monument "Vindarnas Boning" in Karlstad, Sweden 16/6, 1967. The historical narrative around this monument is about to show the importance of the esthetics, the main forces around the monument and last, how the monument legitimacy is maintained. Throughout those analytic tools, according to this study, I will try to examine possible other reasons behind this monument than the official one, who is to act as a remembrance of the finnish immigrants who settled in the unpopulated deep forests of Sweden and enabled to maintain a minor community separated from other influences, during the 16 th century and onward.

This essay attempts to examine the discourse of the Sweden democrats in relation to thevalue system of the Swedish national school.To analyse the political texts I use discourse analysis and especially the method and approachconducted by Judith Lee Bacchi. Bacchi focuses on the construction of a problem in variouspolitical discourses. When performing this kind of analysis the main question is (accordingto Bacchi): ?What is the problem represented to be??I find that the Sweden democrats construct the ?migration politics? and the ?multiculturalpolitics? that is guiding the society as the cause of most problems in our society. To solvethe ?problems? they promote a nationalistic and a cultural racist discourse especiallypinpointing the ?Muslims? as being a problem.Since the Sweden democrats are striving to implement their discourse in the society andschool, and since their discourse already are reproduced by solar students in the classroom,I find it important to examine the essence of their particular discourse and contrast it withthe current value system of the Swedish schools.I don´t find the nationalistic and racist discourse of the Sweden democrats to correspond tothe value system of the Swedish school, mainly due to their strive to create alienation, andby labeling individuals in a reductive manner, instead of using apparent differences as asource for democratic discussions in the classroom.

By analysing the communication, identify strengths and weaknesses and make suggestions for improvement.Material/Method: Qualitative method by using interviewsMain results: The understanding of the concept and the relationship between franchiser and franchisees are vital for the success of the franchising chain. The main internal communication channel today is the Intranet, and more personal contacts and meetings are requested. The yearly meetings are appreciated by the franchisees, but the content of the meetings are of varied quality. The chains value words, which are important for how the brand is perceived by the customer, are slightly different from how the franchiser and the franchisees sees them.

C E Löfvenskiöld (1810-1888) var svensk landsbygdsarkitekt vars mönsterritningar och mönsterböcker bildade en standard för hur man skulle bygga på den svenska landsbygden för att bättre anpassa byggnadsskicket till den byggnadstradition som nästan inte förändrats under många århundraden.Hans mönsterböcker blev mycket populära och landsbygdens bebyggelse tog tydliga intryck av dessa. Löfvenskiöld ville med sina mönsterböcker och idéer om bättre miljö för djur och människor förena tradition med funktionellt och estetiskt nytänkande. Genom att utnyttja ny byggnadsteknik kunde han med sina mönsterritningar skapa dåtidens standardiserade hus.Syftet med den genomförda undersökningen var att försöka visa hur och i vilken utsträckning de Löfvenskiöldska spåren, trots stora förändringar inom jordbruket, leverkvar i landsbygdens byggnader och hur funktionella krav begränsat möjligheterna att bevara den estetiska ursprungskaraktären på dessa byggnader.Fältstudien omfattade fyra olika anläggningar, ett bostadshus och tre ekonomibyggnader: Bostadshuset Näs Söderby utanför Uppsala, magasinet på Wappa säteri utanför Enköping, Mölnbo ladugård i Färinge och ladugården på Ultuna, vid SLU i Uppsala.Slutsatsen av undersökningen är att man fortfarande kan finna exempel på väl bevarade byggnader utförda efter mönsterböckerna och att trots att brukarbehoven förändrats över tid, finns spåren av Löfvenskiölds ritningar kvar och då i relativt oförändrat skick..

This thesis examines art exhibitions, literature events and music events in public libraries in Sweden. The aim is to study which event occurs most in the libraries in Sweden. I also examine who takes responsibility for the events, who the libraries engage, how much the events cost, and how often the libraries have the events. I also study Swedish cultural politics in purpose to see if the libraries follow the aims and directions decided by the Swedish government. One aim of the Swedish culture politic is to give every citizen in Sweden the same possibility to experience culture, no matter where they live.

Today there is still irrelevant pay differential in society. In Sweden in 2010, the average pay differential was 15,4 percent between the sexes. Only 0,8 percent better than EU:s average.In Sweden the individual salaries increasingly have begun to characterize the Swedish labor market. Based on this, the aim of this study is to highlight the issue of equal pay between men and women from the perspective of individual salary. This would also been doing with a background in the regulatory environment of equal pay.When it comes to equality between women and men it is the area of labor law in EU who is the most developed and in Sweden this is the area who is most affected by EU law.

A relatively new sector in the world is the one concerning social enterprises and their development. Social enterprises are enterprises that are working with social objectives, their goal is not to make as much money as possible. This essay is looking at the development in social enterprises in two countries; Great Britain and Sweden and how the employee numbers in the enterprises have changed over time. The result shows a large increase in the number of employees in the enterprises in Sweden, however the enterprises in Great Britain does show a declining number of employees. This essay also tries to examine whether a couple of external factors, taken from a series of already existing theories, are affecting the possibility of development in these enterprises.

Background: Good health at community and individual levels are key policy priorities. These priorities can be shown through supporting parents about various different healthy lifestyle choices. In order to know where interventions are needed, it is of interest to study how parents generally feel and how they perceive their parenting.Aim: To study how parents rate their own health and parenting skills, and examine whether there is any correlation between perceived general health and perceived parental competence.  Further, this study will show whether there is a correlation between rate of perceived general health and rate of perceived parental competence when it comes to gender.Method: 64 questionnaires were collected at strategic open kindergartens in the municipality of Uppsala. The questionnaires were distributed to the parents present and who chose to participate in this study.Main result: The result of this study shows that parents have a high rate of general health.

Raising pigs in absence of a number of certain diseases is called Seroproduction in Sweden. Internationally it?s called SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) ? Production. It results in higher growth, lower feed consumption, and lower medicine consumption. The pigs are produced under the same concept, but the rules vary a bit between countries.

During the twenty-first century the price of forest land in Sweden has increased heavily. Buying forest land has become more common and the stakeholders have grown in number. The countries around Sweden have through the globalization become connected in the market of round wood and wood products. The price of forest land and round wood are also close connected. The goal with this report is to make a comparison of forest land prices between Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia and Latvia and to see how the prices have developed in the period 2000-2011. The prime factor in the comparison, except the direct price difference between the countries, is the round wood prices. The round wood prices give information about the economic situation in the countries and play an important role in the return on the forest land. The prices of forest land shifts heavily between the countries.

A1224SammanfattningDenna undersökning syftar till att beskriva anställdas individuella syn på balans mellan privat - och arbetsliv samt utreda vilka möjligheter och hinder som finns för att åstadkomma balans. I undersökningen har en cirkelmodell använts för att definiera balans. Modellen innefattar tre olika cirklar där jag, arbete samt familj/annat socialt sammanhang är komponenter. I teoriavsnittet nämns ett flertal faktorer som bidrar till eller hindrar skapandet av balans. För att kartlägga en idealbild av synen på balans är en förstudie genomförd med företagscoachen Karin Tenelius.Det företag som undersökningen är gjord på är Länsförsäkringar Uppsala.

Segling är en stor sport i Sverige. Var sjätte svensk äger en båt vilket innebär att det finns över en miljon fritidsbåtar landet. 15000 personer arbetar inom båtbranschen. I Uppsala finns det tre stora båtklubbar samt flera mindre. Flera SM vinnare och Världsmästare har genom åren fostrats på Ekolns vatten.

The purpose of this study is to illustrate and analyze what the socializing process of the Finn­ ish woman looks like ant to discuss what contributes to the feeling of inclusion, or the feeling of exclusion. The questions asked in the study aim to classify what influenced the decision to move to Sweden. Furthermore they aim to describe what the life in Sweden has been like and what the socialization process for the Finnish woman  looks like. Finally I will study what kind of impact the change of life has had for the feeling of inclusion and for social identity. Initially the Finnish immigration to Sweden, through time, is described and then earlier stud­ ies relation to this study is accounted for. Then the role of social pedagogy in this study is presented.
