The purpose of this work is to raise ideas and interest for land that is very much forgotten,unused and neglected in terms of maintenance and usability. Railroads are often seen as adirty and loud intrusion in the landscape and therefore cities turn their backs on them. Theland around railroads is not considered useful despite its often central location and scrublandis common in these areas.The starting point of this work is the restrictions and possibilities linked to the land withinthe security distance 30 meters from the railroad center. Within this security distance thereare numerous limitations and regulations due to the nature of railroad use. These limitationsare counted for in the initial chapter and lay the foundation for the rest of the work.

Förarmiljön i personbilar blir allt mer komplex med ett ökat informationsflöde. Samtidigt får vi i Sverige ett ökat antal äldre bilförare i vägtransportsystem. Åldrande medför förändringar i kroppen både fysiskt och kognitivt vilket kan försvåra föraruppgiften i vissa situationer. Ovan angivna faktorer kommer troligtvis att ställa krav på förändrad design av framtidens förarmiljöer i personbilar. Syftet med examensarbetet är att öka och vidga kunskapen om faktorer av väsentlig betydelse för design och layout av framtida förarmiljöer anpassade för äldre bilförare.

Detta medför att det måste ske en överföring till nätet, vilketmåste utföras på ett så effektivt och driftsäkert sätt som möjligt.Universal Wind Offshore har ansökt om att bygga en vindkraftspark på Stora Middelgrund,cirka tre mil utanför Halmstads kust. Ansökan gäller 108 vindkraftverk med en totalinstallerad effekt på 864 MW och en planerad årsproduktion på 3 TWh.

During recent years the use of begomovirus resistant or tolerant tomato cultivars has increased in Nicaragua as an effort to improve yields. Still, begomovirus infection is a large threat to the tomato production. Therefore, ongoing work in Nicaragua is focusing on finding new, better, begomovirus tolerant or resistant tomato cultivars.

The thesis strives to reveal the dynamics between a central and a peripheral shopping area in Kalmar, Sweden. The establishment of larger shopping centers has become a hallmark of postindustrial cities. Cities globally are at risk of creating an urban economic rift between the central and peripheral shopping areas. By establishing major shopping venues around the traditional central business districts, cities hope to create a larger customer hinterland and thereby also increased economic growth. The aim of this thesis is answered by two research questions regarding collaboration and competition between two shopping areas; the central Kvarnholmen and peripheral Hansa City Mall.

The social dimension in the EU, explored through the document texts of the Treaty of Rome, the Lisbon Strategy, the Social Policy Agenda and the Swedish Strategy ReportThis paper explores the social dimension of EU social policy, except the aspects of the economic and labour market. The EU documents reveal an underlying line of thought stemming from the alignment of the six founding countries, spearheaded by France, with the conservative corporatist welfare model. As one of four European welfare models, the conservative corporatist model emphasises labour market issues, corporate social responsibility and the subsidiarity principle in EU social policy. It also influences how the texts define the terms social, social policy and social exclusion. The definitions determine how policymakers combat problems such as social exclusion and identify the policy issues to be included in EU social policy.The Swedish Strategy shows how the country is responding to the objectives that it has been assigned by the EU and how it plans to attain them.

The assignment was about finding a need for a mobile application, making a requirement specification document with design documents and parallel to this constructing a prototype. The assignment is summarized in the following questions:? How can companies in the forest industry benefit from mobile information technology?? How can a user centered perspective be used in the process of making the requirement specification document and the design documents?? How do guidelines for usability apply to a mobile application?Three visits to companies in the forest industry were made to find a need for mobile information technology solutions. After a small analysis of the different companies? problems and conditions the decision was to use Tenhults Impregneringsverk AB in the case study.We used the FA/SIM method in our job of finding the organization needs for change and the principles of User Centered Design in the work of constructing a prototype.The result of our work is a requirement specification with design documents and a prototype.

Problem. Sponsorship has increased continuously during the 21st century, however, at the same time the public interest of traditional promotion has been diminishing. The meaning of sponsorship is a very diffuse and therefore the concept needs to be investigated. Due to the multitude of sponsorship and its impreciseness about its financial value, it is difficult to evaluate sponsorship for companies, especially when there is a difficulty in choosing a decent method for evaluation.Purpose. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the concept of sponsorship, motives for sponsorship and evaluation of sponsorship according to the theory and give empirical examples of how these areas are being managed by companies.Method.

Mot bakgrund av den hätska debatt som har förts angående substitutionsbehandling, var syftet med vår uppsats att undersöka och beskriva de professionellas inställning till substitutionsbehandling av heroin-missbrukare ur ett etiskt perspektiv. Vi ville även undersöka de professionellas syn på socialstyrelsens riktlin-jer och kriterier beträffande substitutionsbehandling. Vidare ville vi få en uppfattning om de yrkesverksam-mas åsikter gällande en heroinmissbrukares möjligheter till vård, och detta i jämförelse med andra patient-grupper.Vi kan utläsa att det finns tre inställningar från de intervjuade beträffande substitutionsbehandling. Socialsek-reterarna på substitutionsmottagningen uttrycker att det är den överlägset bästa behandlingsmetoden för hero-inmissbrukare. Socialsekreterare från socialtjänsten är även de positivt inställda men ser inte substitutionsbe-handling som en Universal behandling.
