The work that is the basis of this Master Thesis was performed on Scania´s group of cabdevelopment, and concerns the GPS-system in Scania´s trucks. Today, the GPS-systemconsists of an active antenna mounted on the roof of the truck. The antenna is connectedto the receiver with a coaxial cable.The purpose with this Master Thesis was to develop and evaluate a new GPS-system,where the information is distributed using a LIN-network. Today, each unit requiringGPS-information is equipped with its own antenna and receiver. This solution has beenthe most cost effective to this point.

Hydrauliska stötdämpare har länge varit en central komponent på både bilar och motorcyklar. Stötdämpare påverkar fordonets komfort, väghållning och köregenskaper. Dessa olika egenskaper kräver ofta helt olika typer av dämpning och med vanliga passiva dämpare blir resultatet ofta en kompromiss av samtliga dessa. Kompromisserna har lett till utvecklingen av en stötdämpare med ställbar dämparkarakteristik som är tänkt att ersätta passiva dämpare. Öhlins Racing säljer idag ett semiaktivt stötdämparsystem som kallas CES, Continously controlled Electronic Suspension, där dämparkarakteristiken styrs av en tryck- och flödeskompenserad CES-ventil.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva vilka metoder som användes på en neonatalavdelning för att främja amningen hos prematura barn. Arbetet är en systematisk litteraturstudie där 15 vetenskapliga artiklar användes. Litteratursökningen gjordes i databaserna Blackwell Synergy, CINAHL, Elin@dalarna, PubMed och Medline. Litteraturgenomgången visade att det fanns ett flertal metoder för att främja amning av prematura barn på neonatalavdelningen. Föräldrarna behöver få hjälp av personalen att skapa sociala band till sitt barn och med att förstå att det är dem som är av största betydelse för barnet.

När säkerheten vid rapportering brister kan det få förödande konsekvenser. Inom intensiv- samt operationssjukvården bedrivs omvårdnad i en högteknologisk miljö där patienten befinner sig i en stark beroendeställning. Säkerhetsaspekten vid överrapporteringar är här mycket viktig. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva en patientsäker överrapportering mellan operation och intensivvård. Granskning av 14 vetenskapliga artiklar visade att kommunikationen mellan intensivvården samt operation förbättrades genom användandet av ett strukturerat rapporteringsverktyg.

When an animal is approaching the road, it is registered by sensors, and warning lights along the road are lit to inform drivers of the potential danger. In conclusion, this is a direct warning to all drivers on the road where the system is placed.When an animal is registered by the sensors, information containing time, date, weather circumstances and coordinates are sent to a database.

There are a lot of different ways toimplement the economic aid that are being used by the donors today, and this essay will try toexemplify the different methods of implementing the economic aid. To elucidate the relationbetween donors and corrupt regimes, the essay analyzes three themes: the first two questionsare about the policies used by the donors, and the third question are used to shed light on theactual implementation of aid to corrupt governments. The three themes are: i) Different aidpolicies used by the donors ii) Do donors use particular policies against corrupt regimes? iii)Do corrupt regimes receive less foreign aid? Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva hur patienter som vårdats på IVA upplever sin livskvalitet efter att ha kommit hem. Vidare var syftet att bedöma och beskriva kvaliteten på de ingående artiklarna utifrån den metodologiska aspekten urval och bortfall. Litteraturstudien hade en deskriptiv design med kvalitativ ansats. Till litteraturstudien analyserades 14 kvalitativa artiklar som hittades genom sökning i Pubmed, Cinahl och PsycINFO samt manuell sökning. Upplevelsen av livskvalitet relaterades till tre huvudkategorier.

SammanfattningBakgrund: Idag närvarar pappor vid det akuta omhändertagandet av sitt barn och har en viktig roll i det nyfödda barnets vård. Närhet mellan föräldrar och barn är avgörande för välbefinnande, anknytning och bindning. Syfte: Syftet med undersökningen var att beskriva vad pappor upplever vid akut omhändertagande av sitt nyfödda barn. Metod: Tio pappor till nyfödda barn, där barnen i direkt anslutning till födseln krävt akut omhändertagande och inläggning på neonatalavdelning, har intervjuats. Intervjuerna har bearbetats med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

Saab Bofors Dynamics har som huvudsaklig verksamhet att utveckla missiler. Ofta krävs det att någon form av navigationsfunktion byggs in, och eftersom det inte är lätt att testa nya lösningar och algoritmer direkt på missilerna har man tagit fram två autonoma testplattformar, Freke och Gorm, i form av självgående bilar som kan ta sig fram inomhus i t.ex. en korridor.För navigation utomhus lämpar sig GPS väl i många situationer, men i autonoma sammanhang är det inte tillräckligt. GPS är inte alltid tillgänglig på grund av att man inte alltid har fri sikt till minst fyra satelliter och i militära sammanhang är den också lätt att störa ut. Därför förlitar man sig hellre på noggranna tröghetsnavigeringssystem (TNS) som kan ge data i 100-tals Hz, och kompletterar med GPS för att korrigera för avvikelser.

To optimize the engines efficiency and its emissions at all workloads and speeds, an active valve control can be applied. This means that the intake and exhaust-valves can be opened and closed at any time, independent of the crankshaft position.

Fuel produced from renewable resources is of big interest. In this project the difference between a few different renewable materials are compared on the matter of environmental load when ethanol is produced. The renewable materials that are compared are Salix, straw and reed canary-grass (rörflen). The cellulose in the material is cut down to small pieces and then hydrolysed so that the sugar from the cellulose can be fermented into ethanol. Tha amount of ethanols that is studied in this work is the smount of ethanol needed to cultivate 1000 ha. The functional unit in the report is 1000 ha.
