In theory, the logic behind partnerships is simple: All organisations have strengths, but no organisation has all the strength required to do everything. Triggered by global perspectives and challenged by sustainability objectives, the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro in 1992 pointed out needs for corporate responsibility. In this conference, Private-public partnership, PPP, was identified as a potential way to work towards sustainability, especially as a way to emphasize a corporate responsibility commitment. Nowadays, organizations exist to satisfy the needs and interests of all their stakeholders, such as customers, markets, shareholders, as well as secondary stakeholders such as media, NGOs, and society at large. Addressing all stakeholders and working towards a sustainable business development makes PPP a potential solution, but also a source of challenges.

Aim. The aim of this study is to analyze the living conditions of physically disabled people from the viewpoint of sexuality issues with regards to personal assistance services, identity and attitudes in society on disability and sexuality. Background. Not much research is done on sexuality issues for physically disabled people. Even though we live in a society where sexuality takes up a lot of space in the media, the culture and is acknowledged to be of great importance for every person?s wellbeing, the sexuality of disabled people is often not recognized and discussed.

This master thesis was done for a company called BRUKS which is active in woodprocessing,bio-energy and bulk material handling industry. The idea for the master thesis wasto develop a new reclaiming method for silos where wood chips are being stored. A mediumsegment of between 1000 ? 5000 m3was defined as the segment with the most sales potential.Two different concepts were produced, one for new constructions and one for rebuildingalready existing silos.In the beginning of the master thesis a lot of time was spent on visiting different BRUKSoffices and customers to get an overview of the industry and the product. This informationwas the basis when the idea generating phase began.

Bakgrund: Omvårdnaden av en människa med demenssjukdom på särskilt boende kräver resurser i form av personal, ändamålsenliga lokaler samt läkemedel. Det behövs adekvat utbildad personal med lämpliga personliga egenskaper för att skapa långvariga relationer med närstående och boende. Syfte: Syftet med den här studien är att undersöka upplevelsen av att vara närstående till en människa med demenssjukdom boende på särskilt boende. Metod: En litteraturstudie genomfördes där tio vetenskapliga artiklar granskades och analyserades efter en modell framtagen av Friberg (2006). Resultat: Fem teman framkom genom analysen; de närståendes upplevelser av omvårdnaden på särskilt boende, upplevelsen av att besöka sin familjemedlem, upplevelsen av aktiviteter, upplevelser av den fysiska miljön och integritet samt upplevelsen av att hantera sin situation.

De stora och etablerade gymkedjorna verkar på en marknad som kännetecknas av att vara mogen och som under de senaste åren blivit utsatt för en ökad konkurrens. Den ökade konkurrensen utgörs utav de nyetablerade lågpriskedjorna. Strukturer med höga omkostnader gör de etablerande svårföränderliga till en sänkning av pris till samma nivå som de nyetablerade. De måste därmed skapa mervärde exempelvis genom personal och service i form utav intern marknadsföring. Studiens syfte är att analysera och undersöka intern marknadsföring mellan ledning och personal och dess påverkan på kundlojalitet och långsiktig överlevnad för ett stort, etablerat träningsföretag.

Forskningen har i decennier ifrågasatt anställningsintervjuns validitet och reliabilitet. Trots detta så är intervjun ett av de vanligast förkommande urvalsinstrumenten vid rekrytering av personal. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur rekryteraren tillämpar intervjun som urvals¬instrument vid rekrytering av personal och att få vetskap om hur rekryteraren förbereder och genomför intervjun samt efterarbetet med att bedöma kandidaten. De åtta deltagarna i studien valdes utifrån bekvämlighet och informativitet. Data samlades in med hjälp av halvstrukturerade intervjuer och analyserades med induktiv tematisk analys.

The DuPont formula is one of the most well known and basic tools used for financial statement analysis and is highly useful for understanding firms strategies and operating environment. Previous studies on American listed companies have also shown that analysis of the changes in the DuPont components is useful in forecasting contexts. In this thesis we test whether disaggregating the change in return on net operating assets provides incremental information about future performance for Swedish listed and not listed companies. We find that the change in asset turnover is a leading indicator of increased profitability for both listed and private companies, regardless of size. We also find evidence that the usefulness of the disaggregation for understanding future performance is greater in capital intense industries and lesser in service industries..

Today many children have limited experiences with the outdoors or nature. In most suburbs where people originate from many countries and have various ways of understanding nature is it perhaps in preschool that several children for the first time experience nature.This survey is qualitative and the main research methods are participant observations and interviews. The theories used in this study are mainly based on the thoughts of Dewey and Vygotskij as well as on ideas from outdoor education and different ways or ideas of understanding nature.The purpose with this study is to make clear in what ways nature is used by the teachers in preschool activities and how this work is done in preschools in multicultural suburbs. Questions at issue are: What way of understanding nature are the teachers trying to convey to the children? How is nature used in the ordinary outdoor activities by the preschool teachers? What are the teachers experiences of success and problems in this work?The conclusion is that nature is used in preschool activities in many ways.

The aim in this thesis is to study what attitude music teachers in Sweden and New Zealand have towards Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in music education and obtain a better understanding of how their attitudes affect the way they use ICT in their teaching. Another intention is to discuss differences and similarities between the teachers´ preferences regarding this issue in the two different countries, and whether it has any effect on teaching. It's a qualitative study based on interviews with music teachers from both countries. Through the answers we can get an impression about how ICT is used in music education, how the curriculum is interpreted when it comes to use ICT in music education and how the teachers' attitudes towards ICT affect the music education. This thesis shows that teachers are positive towards ICT in music education but the attitude, knowledge and the way of using it differs, due to access to technology and different opinions about what is essential in music and what is pedagogical.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att beskriva ett företags belöningssystem och vilka målsättningar ledningen har med belöningssystemet. Vidare ville vi beskriva hur företagets ledning och personal upplevde utfallet av belöningssystemet, samt förklara eventuella skillnader mellan målsättningar och utfall. Uppsatsens referensram behandlar teorier om belöningar, styrning och motivation. Vår fallstudie av valutaväxlingsföretaget FOREX genomfördes med hjälp av en telefonintervju med företagsledningen samt telefonintervjuer med hjälp av ett standardiserat frågeformulär med personal från 15 av FOREX butiker. Resultaten i vår undersökning visar att ett bra utformat belöningssystem kan motivera personalen att prestera bättre, men det är svårt att utforma ett belöningssystem som all personal inom företaget uppskattar eftersom alla individer har olika preferenser, behov och mål.

I denna uppsats undersöks rollspelets potential att motverka diskriminering och förtryck i förtryckande regimer. Jag tar avstamp i de mänskliga rättigheterna och i dramapedagogikens essens och styrkor. Jag beskriver Youngs diskrimineringsteorier, samt Freire och Boals pedagogiska teorier om den frigörande teaterns styrkor och syften, och presenterar en intervju om rollspelsanvändande mot kvinnoförtryck i Iran. I analysen söker jag samband mellan de olika tillvägagångssätten i användning och syfte med rollspel utifrån materialet och presenterar mina slutsatser; rollspel i förtryckande regimer kan leda till sammanhangsskapande, frigörelse från inre förtryck, och medvetengörande för individ och grupp om hur man kan skapa en dialog om förtryck..

Under sex månader våren 2007 har ett samarbete mellan Volvo Lastvagnar och två studenter från KTH, inriktning Integrerad produktutveckling vid institutionen för maskinkonstruktion, pågått i form av ett examensarbete på 20 poäng.Dagens AC-system i Volvos lastbilar avger 20-40 g/år av köldmediet R134a som är en kraftfull växthusgas. Detta sker främst genom diffusion via slangar och tätningsmaterial. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att ta fram förslag på tekniska lösningar på ett nytt AC-system. Eventuella idéer från befintliga värmepumpar och kylsystem skall studeras för att minska eller eliminera utsläppen helt. Fokus har lagts på själva köldmediekretsen och de ingående komponenterna för att därigenom ta fram koncept där systemet är så kompakt och lätt som möjligt.Arbetet delades upp i fyra olika faser: Förstudie, konceptstudie, utvecklingsfas och rapportfas.

The aim of this thesis is to describe how service companies through adjustment of the customer?s zone of tolerance can influence customer?s perception of the service during the processes of service delivery and create customer satisfaction. The method used was case study approach utilizing personal interviews, which were conducted at two service companies. The study showed that the aspects of the service that have greatest importance for the customer?s assessment of the service and customer satisfaction among others are personal treatment and that personel behave in the way that makes the customer feel itself taken good care of and unique.

The purpose of this Bachelor Thesis is to examine what happens when the solitary reading experience becomes a social activity. The study is based on semi-structured interviews with three women belonging to the same reading group. I have used Sten Furhammar?s reading dimensions and categories to explain their reading experience, and Jenny Hartley, Elizabeth Long and Immi Lundin to explain the function that the reading group has for them, and the relationship between reading experiences in a book-discussion.My result shows that they started the reading group because they lacked an opportunity to discuss their readings with people that had the same interest in books. They do all have different ways to read, which is displayed by Furhammar?s categories personal and impersonal reading for experience.

The purpose of this study is to achieve an understanding of how a CE- marking process is conducted and to identify the relevant factors that must be considered in such a process. We have conducted our study at Lo?vhults Svets & Smide AB (Lo?vhults) in Skruv, Sma?land Sweden, which are manufacturing brackets for small covering constructions.To understand how a CE-marking process is conducted several documents and provisions have been reviewed to achieve a basic understanding and insight of the subject. It thus led to that guideline ETAG 015 were studied and the factors to be considered in the CE-marking of brackets were identified. Together with Jan-A?ke Johansson at Lo?vhults we agreed on four different brackets to investigate for a potential CE-marking.
