Diabetes är idag en vanlig sjukdom både i Sverige och globalt, ca 285 miljoner människor lever med diabetes runtom i världen. Det finns risker för att personer med diabetes utvecklar komplikationer. Dessa kan delas upp i mikro- och makrovaskulära komplikationer. Studiens syfte var att beskriva omvårdnadsåtgärder som kan förebygga komplikationer hos personer med diabetes typ 1 och typ 2. Studien är en litteraturstudie och genom sökningar i databaserna Cinahl och PubMed hittades 9 studier.

Diabetes is a widespread disease, which is increasing in the Western World and even in the developing countries. This entail an increasing strain on the medical service when to nurse and treat patients with diabetes type 2. To support and empower the patients in their choices, which will affect them for life, is a challenge to the nurse. The nurse is an important character in nursing care when patients take a more active part in treatments. The aim of this literature review was to exam the factors, which influence diabetes care.

ABSTRACTBackground: The incidence of type 2 diabetes is increasing worldwide. Early intervention in form of medication, advice on self-management and lifestyle changes is necessary to avoid complications. Few Swedish studies are made on the diabetes nurse?s views on promotion of self- management.Purpose: To examine the diabetes specialist nurse?s experience of promoting self-management to patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care.  Method: A qualitative explorative study where eight diabetes nurses were interviewed. The interview guide consisted of semistructed questions concerning the promotion of self-management.Results: The diabetes nurse?s role in promoting patient self-management is significant, if resources are available in the form of adequate time for the patient and good team work.

Methods: Literature studies with both qualitative and quantitative articles were examined. Findings: The articles that were chosen for the results were sorted in the two categories relation and communication.

Abstract Aims and objectives. To examine whether an intervention with carbohydrate- counting at onset of Type 1 diabetes in children, has had any effect on metabolic indicators such as HbA1c , BMI-sds and total daily insulin / kg, 2 months and 1 year after onset by age and gender .Background. The pediatric department at the university hospital of Norrland in Umeå (NUS), has since several years a higher average HbA1c among children 0-17 years, compare with pediatric departments in the rest of Sweden.  Therefore, in autumn 2011, an intervention was made to teach children with diabetes and their parents to count carbohydrates from the onset of diabetes. Using this method they can regulate their insulin doses depending on the amount of carbohydrates they are eating.Design. This is an empirical registry study done on the basis of a quantitative method.

Metoder som stöd vid livsstilsförändringar hos patienter med typ-2 diabetes

Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att söka evidens för metoder som kan stödja patienter med typ-2 diabetes till livsstilsförändringar. Metod: En litteraturstudie, som innehåller 16 kvantitativa och kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar, som var publicerade mellan 2000-2010. Databasen som användes var Cinahl och sökmotorn Elin@Dalarna. Sökorden som använts var: diabetes type 2, type 2 diabetes, lifestyle changes, patient education, empowerment, health behaviour och self-management. Resultat: I resultaten kom uppsatsförfattarna fram till olika kategorier som visar olika åtgärder till livsstilsförändringar.

Att leva med diabetes typ 1 och 2 en litteraturstudie om individers efarenheter

Diabetes typ 1 och 2 är idag en folksjukdom och antalet nyinsjuknade ökar i samma omfattning som fetmaepidemin. Dess behandling är emellertid komplex varför föreliggande litteraturstudie syftade till att beskriva vuxna individers erfarenheter av att leva med diabetes typ 1 och 2. Litteratursökningen utfördes i databaserna CINAHL och PubMed. Både kvantitativa och kvalitativa studier (N=10) inkluderades vilka kvalitetsgranskades av båda författarna oberoende av varandra med hjälp av ett modifierat granskningsprotokoll. Resultatet visade att individernas erfarenheter av att leva med sjukdomen berörde sex olika teman; plasmaglukosnivån, copingstrategier, insulinpump/insulinpenna/antidiabetikum, kost, stöd och oro.

The nurse's techniques and specific tools in this work are however not particularly noteworthy and therefore needs to be advised.Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the experiences nurses have of supporting adolescents, between 12-18 years, with Type 1 diabetes to an increased understanding of the disease and also to examine the methodological aspect data collection in the articles of this study. Method: A descriptive, literature study according to Polit and Beck (2012).

Att leva med diabetes typ 2 - en livslång utmaning : En litteraturöversikt

Background: Type 2 diabetes is a chronic disease that vigorously increases worldwide. The disease can affect the entire everyday life which usually results in major lifestyle change. The treatment consists largely of self care which the patient itself has great responsibility for. The nurses have an important role in supporting, guiding and teaching the patients. Since every patient is unique the nurse would benefit from an increased knowledge about the patients experiences of what promotes and prevents self care in type 2 diabetes. Aim: The aim was, from a patient perspective, describe the experience of what promotes and prevents a self care in type 2 diabetes. Methods: A literature review based on nine scientific articles gathered from the databases CINAHL plus with full text, PubMed and Medline.

Livskvalitet hos äldre med diabetes typ 2 : en litteraturstudie

 Syftet med litteraturstudien var att undersöka hur livskvaliteten upplevs hos äldre personer över 65 år med diabetes typ 2. Metoden var en beskrivande litteraturstudie. Totalt granskades 14 artiklar. Datasökningen genomfördes i Pub Med och sökorden som användes var type 2 diabetes, quality of life, health-related quality of life och HRQoL. Tre områden identifierades: fysisk, psykisk och social påverkan på livskvaliteten.
