I kursplanen för Svenska B står att läsa att eleven ska ?ha tillägnat sig och ha kunskap om centrala svenska, nordiska och internationella verk och ha stiftat bekantskap med författarskap från olika tider och epoker? (Skolverket.se). Harold Bloom, författaren till Den västerländska kanon beskrev 1994 sin oro över vårt litterära förfall med orden ?Skuggorna blir allt längre i vårt aftonland och vi närmar oss det tredje årtusendet beredda på ytterligare mörker? (1994:28)Det finns med andra ord idag en motsättning mellan vad man som elev bör läsa och vad man som elev kanske vill läsa. Dilemmat tycks vara att många elevers uppfattning om en klassiker idag är ?tråkiga, svårlästa och föga inspirerande? (Bäcklund & Eriksson 2008:4).  I och med det senaste decenniets vampyrvåg har dock serier som Twilight och True Blood brutit ny mark hos ungdomar som tidigare inte hyst läsintresse.

I och med att EU har valt att följa organisationen IASB så innebär det att från och med den 1 januari 2005 skall alla börsnoterade företag i Sverige redovisa i enlighet med IFRS. Detta innebär bland annat att företagen numera skall genomföra nedskrivningstester, impairmenttester, för goodwill för att se om det finns behov till nedskrivning. Detta skall ske i enlighet med IAS 36 ? Impairment of assets. IFRS reglerna är i stor grad påverkade av redovisningsreglerna i USA och tanken med att tillämpa samma regler här är att skapa bättre förutsättningar för jämförelse mellan företag internationellt.Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur några svenska börsbolag, med stora goodwillposter, kommer att hantera impairmenttesten enligt IAS 36.Vi har valt att göra fyra fallstudier baserade på fyra företag som är noterade på Stockholmsbörsens A-lista.

Aim and questions: The purpose of this paper is to clarify the responsibilities employers have for rehabilitation and to explore how it conforms to an employers' actual condi-tions. Furthermore, the intention is to increase knowledge of how employers interact with other partners in the rehabilitation process and what affects sick people to return to work. The following three questions form the basis of this paper: What are employers? responsibilities for rehabilitation under the law and how is it consistent with an employer's actual conditions? What is the role of employers in the rehabilitation co- operation with other actors? What factors influence sick people to return to work?Method: The paper has used a true scientific and a legal sociological method to examine how the regulated employer responsibility for rehabilitation relates to what is practical in re-ality. To achieve the purpose, four empirical interviews were conducted with Örebro Municipality, Insurance, occupational health Previa and a doctor, which all of them have an important role in the rehabilitation process.

Veterinary medicine is not merely an area of occupation but also an area of business. In a business the customer service is its identity and brand and more importantly what makes the client choose and recommend the clinic to other potential customers. The licensed veterinary nurse is habitually the one who first meets the clients at the clinic. Therefore it is particularly important for the licensed veterinary nurse at the clinic to offer high-quality customer service. The object of this study was to understand and elucidate how the pet owners experience the encounter with the licensed veterinary nurse at different stages in their contact with the clinic.

Earnings management är ett fenomen som enligt studier har ökat i omfattning under senare tid tack vare förändringar av redovisningsprinciper. Detta har gett företag möjligheten att med ökad subjektivitet bedöma värdet på sina tillgångar, vilket kan utnyttjas för att manipulera redovisning och justera resultat i önskad riktning.Den här studien syftar primärt till att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan variablerna earnings management och pressade resultat bland de noterade bolagen på Nasdaq OMX Stockholm, även kallad ?Stockholmsbörsen?. Det sekundära syftet är att undersöka om detta eventuella samband är vanligare förekommande bland mindre företag samt om någon bransch är överrepresenterad. En kvantitativ metod har använts där data från bolagens årsredovisningar har hämtats och sedan granskats.

AimTo validate the STOPP-8-questionnaire (S8Q), containing items from the SIH-questionnaire, against the criterion method accelerometry to estimate its capacity to assess 8 year old Swedish children?s physical activity (PA). Can it assess children?s physical activity? Can it differentiate the active children from the sedentary? If the answer is yes, how well can it do so? MethodData was collected during fall and winter the school year of 2008 - 2009 via the project STOPP-8. Out of 676 children at 12 schools in Stockholm area, 155 (boys n=72, girls n=83) provided complete questionnaire data and wore an accelerometer (Actiwatch 4) during 7 consecutive days which provided data for mean and median activity, time spent sedentary, in moderate to vigorous PA and vigorous PA.

There are three main purposes for this thesis; the first is to distinguish the possible violations that can occur in time of natural disasters. The second is to analyze if there is a correlation between political systems and how the effected country handles the aftermath of a natural disaster. The third purpose is to determine the role of the global community and what responsibility lies with them. The issue is often that the aid becomes the main object for discussion and analysis, but the focus rarely shifts to the effected State. Therefore the focus in this essay is the political system and how they cope with the human rights violations that can occur in a time of natural disaster.

Young people?s political influence has been surveyed, studied and discussed several times in Sweden during the last decade. There is a fear among the politicians that the young people are not interested in politics, especially not in party politics. On the other hand there is, among the youngsters a feeling of invisibility, not being seen or heard or for that sake respected. There are a lot of formal possibilities for young people?s political influence, but there are not as many real possibilities or situations to actually practice these possibilities.

The purpose with this literature study was to investigate the possibilities for improvement of forage protein in dairy cows with focus on feeding strategies and conservation of forage protein. The utilization of forage protein in dairy cows is often not that efficient as it could be. The feed crude protein consists of both true proteins and non protein nitrogen. The digestion of proteins in the rumen depends on the protein degradation rate and the ability of the microbes to synthesize microbial protein. The microbes need a balance between carbohydrates that provide them with energy and proteins that are degradable in the rumen.

The making of a cultural historical exhibition usually involves the collaboration of two categories of professionals: the curator, in charge of the exhibition content, and the designer. From these positions, representing content and form, the team is in charge of cooperating towards a shared goal ? the exhibition ? which is the spatial expression of ideas.This MA thesis is based on my work experience as a designer of cultural historical exhibitions. By means of situations where my perspective collided with that of the museum curators?, I examine our different concepts on a number of issues: the meaning of an exhibition; the process; and the perception of what our respective roles are.

Bakgrund och problem: Till följd av att aktiemarknaden breder ut sig och i och med en starkt ökad ekonomisk integration mellan världens länder, har ett behov av en harmoniserad redovisning ökat. För detta ansåg IASB att behov fanns av ny reglering vid upprättande av koncernredovisning, vilket ledde till att IFRS 3 Rörelseförvärv infördes år 2005. Denna reglering medförde bland annat att fler immateriella tillgångar skall identifieras i samband med förvärv. Detta kan antas ha påverkat intressenternas användbarhet av redovisningen då de får tillgång till mer detaljerad finansiell information.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att utreda och jämföra hur redovisningens användbarhet för investerare och långivare har påverkats till följd av att fler immateriella tillgångar numera skall identifieras vid förvärv.Avgränsningar: I våra problemformuleringar har avgränsningar gjorts som inneburit att huvudsakligt fokus har lagts på två intressenter; investerare och långivare.Metod: Denna studie har genomförts utifrån en kvalitativ forskningsmetod där intervjuer med två investerare och tre långivare har utgjort studiens primärdata. Den insamlade informationen har kompletterats med sekundärdata i form av böcker, vetenskapliga artiklar, standarder samt tidigare genomförda uppsatser.Slutsatser: Till följd av att fler immateriella tillgångar skall identifieras har användbarheten för investerarna ökat när de skall ta beslut om investering.
