AbstractIn this essay, I have performed a study on peer cultures and how these peer cultures are expressed in a group of pre-school children. My questions are as following:What positions/power positions can be seen in children?s play, and how will these be expressed?How do the children gain access to play?How do children act when they want to exclude other children?In order to understand this I have chosen to do observations as a method. In order to investigate these questions I chose to spend six whole mornings with a group of pre-school children, closely observing their behavior. The focus was on children, three years of age or older.

The aim of my study is to investigate if and in that case how the writing process and texts written by students in the upper secondary school are affected by the writing tool; does it matter if they write their texts on a computer or by longhand? Another objective is to compare such an effect with the findings of previous studies performed on earlier generations of writers. The first part of my study was a survey. It showed that two thirds of the 67 students participating thought that they would have written better texts in the national writing test if they had been able to use computers. In the second part of the study each of the fourteen participants wrote one text on computer and another by hand.

The purpose of this essay is on the one hand to study Sub-Saharan Africa from a comparative perspective to analyze different explanations to democratization and on the other hand to compare the democratization of the most interesting cases found. To fulfil the purpose, the essay is divided into a quantitative and a qualitative part. The quantitative part starts from four different theories of democratization and thus has a deductive theory testing approach. We intend to use four theories: the modernization theory, the theory of stable institutions as a prerequisite for democratization, political culture and ethnic diversity as an obstacle for democratization, to test how they correspond with the democratic situation in Africa, and at the same time find deviant cases. The second part of the study takes its start from an inductive perspective and examines institutions and citizens of the deviant cases.

To be able to give optimal care to patients in small animal hospitals, we have to have knowledge about how to prevent the spread of infection. An important part in this is hand hygiene routines. We have to clean hands whenever they are visibly dirty, and disinfect them regularly in between. Another important part is the cleaning and disinfection of the environment in the clinic, and also the cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of medical instruments. Other important parts are isolation of patients with known infections, to wear clothes with short sleeves and to wash them at least once daily, to wear gloves, having short nails and not wearing jewelry when working.

This thesis is about a part of the marquetrytechnique, scorching. Scorching is made by heating up something, put a veneer into the heated substance and make a controlled burning. This technique is old but still used today and have according to me great potential for development. In my work I wanted to give the scorching greater room then I earlier have seen. I wanted the scorching to be the dominant ingredient for a decorative element in a piece of furniture or an interior.

This article evaluates the narrative and it´s didactic role in historiographic textbooks for schools. The primary study is a comparing qualitative analysis of the narrative in the different textbooks. The result leads to a pedagogical discussion based on Kieran Egans theories about cognitive tools, and how they shape our comprehension. The theoretical background defining and discussing narrative as a concept is partly based on a semiotic view, part linguistic. The main conclusion of the work is how the narrative seems to be a product of discourse in the ways the textbooks differ at the most from each other; Broken down, how the role of the writer and the reader and their conception of the world take part I a significant comprehension of the stories told in history textbooks..

Rapporten handlar om ett examensarbete utfört av två studenter vid Mälardalens högskola i Västerås. Examensarbetet går ut på att utveckla och konstruera ett dokument som innehåller EASA Part M sektion A med tillhörande AMC och amendments. Dokumentet skall vara enkelt att jobba med genom att navigera i med hjälp av hyperlänkar, användning av kortkommando i PDF-programmet samt innehålla beskrivningar av skälen bakom tillförda ändringar (amendments) av Förordningen 2024/2003. I arbetet ingår även två Guider. Den ena handlar om vägledning till hur man kan uppdaterar i huvuddokumentet (EASA Part M och relaterade AMC) och den andra Guiden är en presentation som hjälper till att hitta rätt i EASAs webbsida.Målgruppen är studenter och eventuellt flygbolag, därför blev vår uppgift framförallt att skapa ett pedagogiskt dokument.

Vad händer vid en medling och hur upplevs detta möte av de parter som ingår i medlingsprocessen? Denna fråga är utgångspunkten i föreliggande uppsats vilken belyser gärningspersoners och brottsoffers upplevelser samt den förändrade syn på sig själva och den andra parten vilken medlingen bidragit till. Medling vid brott innebär att gärningsperson och brottsoffer möts och samtalar om sina upplevelser av brottet. Denna uppsats har med intervjuer som bas studerat parternas egna upplevelser av medlingssituationen. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna för uppsatsen är George Herbert Meads ?Den Generaliserade andre?, Thomas Scheff och Susanne Retzingers skambegrepp, Erving Goffmans samspelsteori samt ?Det intersubjektiva tredje? vilket beskrivs av Samuel Gerson.

Syftet med följande arbete är att belysa vilka copingstrategier pedagoger i förskolan och grundskolan har för att hantera sin egen stress och om specialpedagogisk handledning kan underlätta. Studien bygger på sex enskilda djupintervjuer och femtio enkäter som besvarats av slumpmässigt utvalda pedagoger på förskola, fritidshem och grundskola. Med hjälp av djupintervjuerna och enkäterna vill vi visa hur pedagoger uppfattar sin arbetssituation.Vårt syfte baseras på två frågeställningar: Vilka copingstrategier har pedagoger i förskolan, grundskolan och fritidshem för att hantera stress? Upplever pedagoger att specialpedagogisk handledning skulle underlätta deras reflektion och stresshantering?Arbetet ger en översikt över tidigare forskning om pedagoger och stress.Sammanfattningsvis pekar resultatet av vår undersökning att pedagogerna upplever sitt arbete som meningsfullt, glädjefullt och betydelsefullt, men att deras arbetsbelastning är för hög. Pedagogerna använder sig av olika copingstrategier för att hantera sin stress.

Since reading difficulties is a growing problem in Society and a problem that hinders Children to take an active part in every day life, I wanted to investigate how the School Library can be an educational resource for students with reading difficulties. Using qualitative interviews, I have gained insight into how three school librarians and two teachers work with Students with reading difficulties at two different Schools.The Respondents feel that they have the Knowledge necessary to work with students with reading difficulties, but Wish they had more Resources in terms of Time and Staff to help Students achieve School Goals even better. There are always new assistive technology for Students with Reading Difficulties, and an important part of the Educational work of the School Library, is to be informed of the Facilities available and how they work. I show, in my Research the importance of cooperation between school libraries and teachers to provide the students with reading difficulties the love of reading and work to promote reading. It is important that the School Librarian is an integral part of the School's Team to take full advantage of every opportunity to help the Reading Impaired Students with Information and finding the right Reading Level.

The proportion of elderly people in Sweden is increasing. Many of these live at home and as their age increases so does the likelihood of health problems and the need for support, medical attention and care. Personnel working with home help provide a large part of this care, including areas of home-based care that are the responsibility of the district nurse. The purpose of this paper is to describe how home-help personnel perceive their work in the area of home-based care, as their views are an important factor in the ability to provide a care system that funktions successfully. The method employed here is phenomenografic and nine subjects from a home-help group have been interviewed.

Det finns inte några utryckliga bestämmelser i EG-fördraget om harmonisering eller samordning av den direkta beskattningen inom unionen. Eftersom en mindre förmånlig skatterättslig behandling kan verka hämmande på viljan att utföra gränsöverskridande transaktioner, kan nationella direkta skatteregler dock i praktiken utgöra hinder för gemenskapens målsättning att upprätta en öppen och effektiv inre marknad. I avsikt att avvärja begränsningar för den fria rörligheten inom unionen driver EG-domstolen den gemenskapsrättsliga utvecklingen på området framåt genom en pragmatisk tillämpning av de grund¬läggande friheterna. Medlems¬staterna har i stort sett accepterat domstolens ingripanden, trots att den direkta beskattningen är ett område där medlemmarna mer än annars vill värna om sin rätt till självbestämmande. Frågan är dock mer kontroversiell för medlemsstaterna när det gäller tillämpningen av den fria rörligheten för kapital i enlighet med artikel 56.1 EGF, vilken är den enda fördragsfrihet som är tillämplig även i förhållande till tredje land.

På IDG:s hemsida (2007) kan man läsa om att användargurun Jakob Nielsen genomfört en omfattande undersökning med fokusgrupper som visar på att B2B-sajter är mycket svårare att använda än konsumentsajter. Detta ledde oss till vårt forskningsområde där vi har valt att studera en e-handelssajt för ett B2B-företag utifrån begreppen handlingsbarhet, användbarhet samt upplevelser. Detta då vi tror att det är viktigt att ta hänsyn till vissa faktorer för att uppnå en bra e-handelssajt. Syftet med denna uppsats är att skapa en förståelse för vilka faktorer som är viktiga för att på så sätt underlätta och ge stöd för de företag som vill skapa en bra e-handelssajt. Genom att vi gjort en litteraturstudie och en empirisk undersökning har vi strävat efter att undersöka vilka faktorer som bör beaktas för att uppnå en bra e-handelssajt för B2B-företag. Den empiriska undersökningen har utförts med hjälp av intervjuer och observationer. Vi utförde först en telefonintervju med 30 respondenter för att se ifall de ansåg att fallstudieföretagets e-handelssajt var handlingsbar. Därefter valde vi ut två av de 30 respondenterna till en mer ingående intervju där vi även ställde frågor kring e-handelssajtens användbarhet och om den gav någon positiv upplevelse.

The aim of this paper is to examine the American movie trailer particularly its history, marketing and functions, presented as an historical overview from the serials of the early 1910s to the trailers of today. A trailer from each decade of the twentieth- and twenty-first centuries is selected which represent typical trends and shows how trailers historically functioned, including their formal, generic differences.The introduction focuses on the market in which the trailer operates, and raises the issue of the entertainment value of art or marketing, how the film industry works and to role of advertising. The second part of the introduction focuses on the development of film stars, and their importance in trailer campaigns. This brings in the question of the growth of Hollywood and new media forms/technologies. The manner in which new media also create a new type of audience is considered, which demonstrates how the trailers capture audience attention in new ways.The second part of the paper focuses on the history of the trailer and examines typical structures, of the different periods.The third part analyses how different trailers operate, and how the trailer industry stands at the beginning of a new era, the so-called Post-interactive era, which is discussed with regard to Spider-Man 2 and The Da Vinci Code..
