Införande av spårvägar i Örebro - Förslag till spårvägssträckning
In Örebro, the car traffic share does not tend to decrease. The crowdedness on some of the bus routes is high at times. Investigations show that the residents of Örebro want a city centre whose street environment is more restrictive of car traffic and better for pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. To decrease the car traffic share a rapid, convenient, clear, effective and environmental friendly public transport with high frequency and strong capacity in a short, direct and logical network is needed. A modern tramway fulfils these criteria.At first, this report describes factors that are important to take into consideration when planning a tramway.
Kulturell Globalisering : en litteraturstudie
Today we are living in a time were impulses from other places and cultures constantly grow and the contact over the boundary is getting bigger. We se satellites pictures over the world, we hear about worldwide ecological problems, we learn about other different lifestyles, we cock food that are inspired from the worlds many kitchens, we shop more and we can Travel to different parts of the world. My problem was to find out how cultural phenomenon spreads to a greater extent global and how this transference take place, but also be able to se what factors that has a part in the cultural spread.What I found with help from my literature study was that trough improved communication and transports has gained mobility in the world and people can take part off others culture.The world is shrinking and this means that human beings identity is changing and this create a so-called hybrid mixture. Culture is what we human beings create. Culture can be seen as a community phenomenon for the most parts.
Linjenätsutredning i Täby kommun.
The public transport network in Täby commune consists currently of two types of bus line of whichboth belong to the category of feeder lines. The first type terminates at Danderyds sjukhus and feedsto the subway whereas the second type terminates at Täby centrum and feeds to Roslagsbanan, asuburban narrow-gauge railway system in northern Stockholm. The trunk bus line that connectsgreater parts of the commune with Danderyd is the ring line 604 and goes both clockwise (604H) andcounterclockwise (604V). The main negative aspect of this structure is the complicity in incorporatingit timetable-wise with other bus lines that share the same route, such as through Enebyberg.The goal of this project is to investigate the possibilities of splitting ring line 604 and connecting theends to two different bus routes that terminate at Täby centrum today. Apart from easing thecoordination with other bus lines through Enebyberg, the extension also creates new directconnections from various areas in Täby to Danderyds sjukhus.
Besökarstudie i Kilsbergens rekreationsområden : en metod för att utveckla rekreationsmöjligheter på Sveaskogs marker
In this Master thesis an effective method is presented to find out what is requested in a forest or outdoor recreation. The aim with the study is to find out how Sveaskog can increase the general interest for experiences in nature and improve the access for recreation. Some questions that have been used to answer this purpose are: Who is visiting/not visiting the recreation area? How is it possible to increase the number of visits? The study is carried out in Kilsbergen and mainly centered around Ånnaboda, which is the natural place for people to meet at and undertake recreational activities.
The method that is used is a mail-survey that was sent to visitors and people living in Örebro. People living in Örebro represent potential visitors who live close to the recreation area.
Challenges and incentives for sustainable manure management in Russia
The Baltic Sea is threatened by eutrophication that largely is due to nutrient leaching from farmland within the catchment area. To solve this problem the surrounding countries cooperate within various configurations such as HELCOM and the EU-financed project Baltic Compass. Poor manure management in Russia has been discussed frequently the last couple of years.
A literature review of different types of reports and legal acts is the core of this degree project which has been performed in connection to two ongoing research projects financed by EU (Baltic Compass) and SIDA. It is supplemented with interviews with Swedish agricultural consultants and Travel reports from two occasions when I had the opportunity to discuss with Russians active within the agricultural sector. Different hypotheses were investigated and discussed.
The environmental debate in Russia is quiet and there is a widespread approach that economic profit always trumps environmental concern ? a Soviet heritage that influence the Russian agriculture considerably.
The Russian legal acts on stable manure management focus mainly on sanitary questions and only secondary on nutrient leaching.

I storstadsregionerna blir trafikläget allt mer ansträngt för vart år som går. Inflyttningen fortsätter i oförändrad takt och fler människor måste försöka samsas om samma utrymme. Situationen på vägarna börjar bli ohållbar och det måste till att dessa problem löses snart för att utvecklingen i regionerna inte ska stagnera. Möjligheter för ytterligare utbyignationer finns dock i en begränsad grad och man måste börja se till andra lösningar. Inom området för intelligenta transportsystem(ITS) erbjuds många nya tillämpningar där man med ny teknik försöker hitta lösningar till dagens trafikproblem.

My objective with the work, Travel Sketches, is to develop an approach to sketching as a landscape architect in connection with the field trip. Previous experiences and reference places are vital parts during the creation of new design proposals. It is by visiting and experiencing places that valuable knowledge is acquired. By sketching on site, with for example a pen and paper, a bank of reference objects will be established as well as an understanding of their practical success. Experiences and sketching are the basic tools of an architect.
Välkommen : vackrare infart till Vilhelmina
The purpose of this thesis is to show how a good approach can be designed, focusing on the southern approach to the Swedish town Vilhelmina. Prior to the car being part of everyday life, the approach was a road where the town showed itself from the very best side. When the amount of traffic increased, so did noise and other disturbances, and as a consequence industrial areas replaced the residential buildnings at the approaches. Today, the pendulum is turning back and in recent years the approach is regarded as a place to introduce the town. The approach is also the place where cars should slow down from the speed of the main road to the speed of the city.

Linjenätsutredning av busstrafiken i Sandvikens tätort : Med avseende på dagens och morgondagens resebehov
Den 13:e juni 2004 invigdes det nya resecentrumet i Sandviken. Det anlades med avsikten att möjliggöra snabba och enkla byten mellan tåg, regionbussar, landsortsbussar och stadsbussar inom en och samma terminal. I samband med detta genomfördes också en linjenätsomläggning av den kommunala busstrafiken inom tätorten. Särskilt stor blev förändringen för stadsbusstrafiken som förutom att den fick en ny knutpunkt också hadekrav på sig att kostnadseffektiviseras då anslagen inte hade höjts för att täcka de ökande kostnaderna. Resultatet av linjenätsomläggningen för stadsbusstrafiken blev ett resurseffektivt linjenät med fem nya linjer och fyra trafikerande bussar varav endast en buss i trafik på kvällar och helger.Resandet med stadsbusstrafiken i Sandviken har minskat med 30,4% sedan linjenätsomläggningen 2004 och även om minskningen för den totala, inomkommunala busstrafiken begränsar sig till drygt 9% under samma tidsperiod är indikationen att resenärerna har känt sig missnöjda med det nya stadsbusslinjenätet.
En Reko, Eko eller Schysst resa? : - En studie om hur Svenska researrangörer förhåller sig till turismens hållbarhetsfenomen
Denna kandidatuppsats har haft som syfte att undersöka hur två svenska researrangörer; Ving och Fritidsresor, kommunicerar och marknadsför sig genom text med fokusering mot hållbar turism. Researrangörernas tolkning och föreställning av deras hållbara arbete har granskats och ställts mot tidigare turismvetenskaplig begreppsapparat gällande hållbar turism, som uppfattas vara av komplex karaktär. Turismaktörernas uppfattningar har framställts genom två kvalitativa insamlingsmetoder, med ett fokus på den textuella kommunikationen i en diskursanalys. Materialet har insamlats från respektive besökshemsidor med inriktning på företagens hållbarhetsdiskurs.Genom ett metodologisk socialkonstruktivistisk utgångspunkt har researrangörernas språkliga textuppbyggnad studerats med avsikt att se hur språkets mening skapar en socialt konstruerad verklighet. Därmed visar undersökningen hur företagen kommunicerat hållbarhetsfenomenets huvudsakliga innehåll samt dess framställning och tolkning av detta begrepp.
