Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och analysera om en värdekedjetransformering som innebär att produktionen tidigareläggs medför att lönsamheten i företagsrestaurangbranschen förbättras. Vi vill dessutom diskutera de valda strategiteoriernas användbarhet för att genomföra en branschanalys. Metod: Vi använder i denna uppsats en kvalitativ metod där vi genomfört tio stycken semistrukturerade telefonintervjuer med respondenter vi funnit genom ett experturval. Ansatsen är deduktiv med vissa induktiva inslag och syftet är deskriptivt. Teoretiskt perspektiv: I branschanalysen använder vi tre strategiteorier; Five forces, Strategic Cost Management och SWOT ? analys.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate how to reduce the high, and every decade raising, pre-clearance cost. The pre-clearance is today carried out with a brush saw and paid per labour hour. All small trees not suitable for pulpwood are removed to simplify the later work of the harvester. The study compares the economic results from thinning of four parcels each treated differently regarding harsh or light pre-clearance and extraction of only pulpwood, or both pulpwood and fuel wood. In this type of spruce stand the study indicates that a lighter pre-clearance, followed up with both pulpwood and a fuel wood extraction, has a much better economy than the traditional method of hard pre-clearance and only pulpwood extraction..

With this in mind Isaberg Rapid AB is requesting a project to increase efficiency in the assembly cell of hammertackers. The company has found in Kaizen-events that there is a potential of efficiency improvements in the assembly group that has not been achieved.The objective with this paper is to identify the major factors that influence the efficiency in the assembly cell for hammertackers.

ECG-Screening for young elite athletesAbstractBackgroundSudden cardiac death (SCD) during physical activity is a frightening and emotional tragedy that draws huge media attentions when it occurs. Fortunately it is a relatively uncommon occurrence but happens nonetheless to young athletes who often seems to be in perfect health. SCD is used as a term for sudden unexpected complications on the cardiovascular system that leads to a deadly outcome normally within the first hour of onset of symptoms and the cause is some sort of underlying cardiovascular disease that gets triggered by physical activity.Normally athletes gets divided into two groups dependent on age, over and under 35 years, and this studies focus is on the younger group since it is often during this period athletes are at the elite level. It is also in this category the most unexpected sudden deaths occur that is not due to coronary atherosclerosis, which is the dominant cause of death, and drastically increases, for people over 35 years old.AimThe aim of this study was to scientific and unbiased analyze peer-reviewed clinical articles todescribe the pros, cons and cost to implement an ECG-screening as a standard before physicalactivities for specifically defined elite athletes.MethodA systematic review was performed and after all data collection 21 articles was chosen to beused as a base for both background and analyze. At the end 10 articles was fulfilling the criteria to be used at the analyze and later the results.ResultsThe implementation of ECG-screening has reduced SCD in Italy by 89 % between the years 1979-2004.

I dagens globaliserade samhälle blir det allt vanligare att barn växer upp med fler än ettspråk i sin omgivning. Det kräver en ökad kunskap om flerspråkighet och vad somsärskiljer flerspråkiga barn från enspråkiga barn. Då de mätinstrument som idaganvänds i Sverige för att utröna om ett barn har en språkstörning endast är utformade förenspråkiga barn riskerar flerspråkiga barn att över- eller underdiagnostiseras. För attråda bot på den problematik som uppkommit i samband med diagnostisering avflerspråkiga barn och språkstörning har ett europeiskt forskningsnätverk bildats, kallatCOST Action IS0804. Syftet med nätverket är att kartlägga SLI (specific languageimpairment) hos flerspråkiga barn genom att koordinera forskning inom lingvistisk ochkognitiv förmåga över ett stort antal länder.

I takt med att besökare och patienter ökar måste kontinuerligt Östra sjukhuset verksamhet utvecklas. Detta medför omläggningar i trafiken och förflyttningar av verksamheter. Idag finns flertalet brister kring Östra sjukhusets fysiska planering som behöver ses över, dessa är bland annat trafikflöden, säkerhetsaspekter och parkeringsmöjligheter.Rapporten redogör för förändringar i den fysiska planeringen som förbättrar dess utformning. Genom studier av relevant litteratur och diskussioner med expertis har förslag av problemområden tagits fram. Dessa har sedan bedömts efter listor av deras respektive för- och nackdelar som kunnat urskiljas.Arbetet visar framtagandet av ett väl fungerande förslag som kan verka som en bas för idéer till nutida och framtida förändringar kring den fysiska planeringen.

In today?s business environment, cost-cutting practices such as downsizing and layoffs remains a widespread phenomenon. Although, the understanding of the effects that these practices has on the remaining individuals, defined as the survivors, is poor. The focus in this paper is therefore to examine how survivors of layoffs can be affected on an individual level, and by what causes.The study was conducted using open-ended, qualitative interviews with three individuals with different experiences of layoffs. The empirical data was analyzed by extracting quotations from the interviews.The study found that layoffs affected the morale and attitude towards management of the individual, and that perceived justice and uncertainty are two causes of negative effects from layoffs..

Sweden has long had access to low electricity prices due to the wide availability of hydro and nuclear power. This has now changed because of today's rising electricity rates resulting in increasing heating costs for properties, especially in the properties with electric heating systems."Ankaret" is a parish for "Svenska Alliansmissionen", which is located at "Gullbrannagården".The parish has installed electrical radiators and an exhaust ventilation system that makes the energy demand high due to the large ventilation flows. The building was built as the price of electricity was still low and would reduce energy use today by combining its heating system with an air/air heat pump. The heat pump delivers more heat into the room than the electrical energy that it uses. This lowers the electricity needs.

Producing a building is a long and complex process. It consists of several parts, from the feasibility study and design stage onto the construction and finally the management of the building. The design process is a critical part of the process where construction plans are made. The quality of the plans affect the production phase in great extent and faulty plans can pose a risk for extra costs for all parts in the process. Syftet med detta examensarbete var att utföra en arbetskravsanalys för tunneltågförare och spårvagnsförare vid Veolia Transport AB. Frågeställningarna var: Vilka personliga egenskaper, teoretiska förmågor och värderingar är viktiga i yrket som tunneltågförare och spårvagnsförare? Undersökningen gjordes genom intervjuer, enkät och teorier om personliga egenskaper, teoretiska förmågor, arbetsvärderingar och interpersonella värderingar. Resultaten visar att de viktigaste personliga egenskaperna var ansvar/pliktmedvetenhet, noggrannhet/ordning, personlig stabilitet och stresstolerans och att de viktigaste teoretiska förmågorna var perceptiv noggrannhet/snabbhet/uthållighet, rumsuppfattning/avståndsbedömning samt simultankapacitet medan de viktigaste värderingarna var tydlighet i kommunikationen, noggrannhet/ordningsamhet och trygghet/säkerhet. Rekommendationen är att uppdatera befintlig arbetskravspecifikation och att se över bruket av testbatteri vid urval och nyanställning för att möjliggöra bättre matchning mellan arbetskrav och individ..

För ett flygbolag är det viktigt att ha en effektiv planering av sina resurser. Att kunna utnyttja personal och flygplan på rätt sätt är en förutsättning för en fortsatt överlevnad på marknaden. Flygbolagens tjänstebestämmelser regleras idag enligt nuvarande BCL-D 1.15. Under våren 2004 har Luftfartsverket behandlat en remiss som utgör ett förslag på en eventuell förändring av dessa tjänstebestämmelser. Remissen är ett förslag som skall gälla det gemensamma regelverket EU-OPS.
