I uppsatsen jämförs Mark Haddons roman The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time och Ulrika Jannert Kallenbergs översättning Den besynnerliga händelsen med hunden om natten. Syftet är att undersöka skildringen av språket och personligheten hos den 15-årige huvudpersonen med autistiskt handikapp, för att ta reda på om läsaren lär känna samma person i de båda böckerna.Översättarens strategier samt relationen mellan källtext och måltext analyseras och diskuteras utifrån teorier inom Translation Studies, med tillämpning av begrepp som språkliga normer, domesticering & främmandegörning och kompensation. Dessutom ingår kommentarer från en intervju med översättaren.Analysen visar att huvudpersonens speciella språk framhävs tydligare i översättningen än i originalet, men att hans personlighet framstår som mindre konsekvent i översättningen. Med frasen ?göra jämmer? som uttryck för pojkens språk och beteende sätter översättaren sin prägel på den svenska boken..

Background: Obesity surgery is the only technique that has proved to have a long-lasting effect on weight loss. Operation is not a solution but rather a lifelong involvement for the person. To loose a lot of weight means a big adjustment for both body and mind and the operated person may need support, advice, information and encouragement. Aim: The aim was to describe how a person, operated for obesity, can be supported in order to reach improved health pre- and postoperative. Method: A systematic literature study was made which resulted in 18 scientific articles that have been reviewed.

The overall purpose of this essay was to provide a better understanding of the importance of discretion for social workers in direct social services. To answer the purpose three questions were formulated: (1) How do social workers define and describe their discretion and their ability to independently accomplish their work? (2) How do social workers experience that workplace organization, policies and economic conditions interact with their discretion and (3) How do social workers experience that the interaction with the client can affect how they use their discretion in the individual case? The method used was qualitative interviews. The theoretical framework was Michael Lipskys (1980) Street-level bureaucracy and the four themes organization, professional role, skills and interaction.The results showed that the respondents, although they did not consider themselves to be affected by the economy still adapted to budget restrictions when they said that they were cost conscious in their work. This adjustment to budget framework could possibly be what made them not feel limited in their work.

Att få en stomi är för många en enorm livsomställning som i många fall leder till sociala, fysiska och psykiska svårigheter. Denna litteraturstudie syftar till att belysa hur individer med stomi uppfattar sin livskvalitet och vilka stomirelaterade problem som försvårar deras vardag. Tio studier har granskats och fem teman har identifierats nämligen påverkan på fysiskt och psykiskt välbefinnande, påverkan på sociala relationer och personlig tro samt påverkan på självständigheten. Ett sänkt fysiskt eller psykiskt välbefinnande, brist på sociala relationer eller negativ inverkan på självständighet eller personlig tro är faktorer som påverkar en individs livskvalitet. En stomioperation leder i många fall till isolering från det sociala livet, en ständig oro och rädsla för att inte passa in till följd av läckage eller ofrivillig gasavgång men även till följd av att den egna kroppsuppfattningen och tron på sig själv har blivit negativt påverkad.

Sustainability has become more interesting to several companies through the last years, the trend attracts lots of attention around sustainability. Sustainable development means different to different people. The most frequent definition that we have found and which we believes compare with our definition of sustainable development.?a social change which satisfies daily needs without endanger next generation?s possibilities to satisfy their needs?.We have in this project commence from the English word sustainability and establish our own apprehension of its meaning, in the Swedish translation we have chose to call it sustainable development.This study is a part of an extensive project which is going on around the world and the material of the empirical study is designed after the international variation.Our study on over fifty small and medium sized enterprises has got the conclusion about what they think of sustainable development. The purpose with this bachelor thesis is to identify risks and insufficiencies concerning the production at WilloMaskin AB. The project is limited to only 4 machines, where theories as ?OEE? (overall equipment efficacy) should be illuminated and analyzed. The theory of ?Single Minute Exchange of Die? is also presented.The method used in this project is mostly based on qualitative studies but also quantitative studies are presented.

Background: Due to an increasing globalization the competition has increased and this has lead to overcapacity and falling prices on markets today. The subject field logistics has during the last decades been given increasingly significance and has become a way to handle the competition. Theories clearly point outthe importance that a concordance exists between logistics and superior strategy but few, if any, authors give further details about how this adjustment should be made. Purpose: The aim of this thesis is with a case study approach survey if the subject field, which describe the importance that logistical solutions correspond with the superior strategy, is known and implemented in a company. We aim to develop the subject field through our empirical findings.

 The image of the poet Gustaf Fröding is the main theme of this essay. It opens with an analysis of the chamber opera Flickan i ögat. This opera has never been translated but a direct translation would be The Girl in the Eye. It refers to a story that when a man looks into the mirror and sees a picture of a girl in his eye, she will be his future love.  Fröding has written a poem "Flickan i ögat" where the person in the poem only observes himself.

The study is based on interviews with four large banks of Sweden (Swedbank, SEB, Nordea, Handelsbanken) and with Finansinspektionen.

Background: Flavan-3-ols are polyphenolic phytochemicals belonging to the flavonoids. Flavan-3-ols are present in many higher plants and are particularly concentrated in e.g. Camellia sinensis (tea) and Theobroma cacao (cacao) and have got attention due to their antioxidative capacity. Many studies have been able to associate flavan-3-ol-rich foods to improved endothelial function. The aim of the present work is to review the scientific literature and evaluate the evidence for positive effects of flavan-3-ols on endothelial dysfunction in humans. Method: Scientific articles describing intervention and observational studies about flavan-3-ols and endothelial dysfunction, were searched for on http://www.pubmed.org.

Objective: To investigate the experiences of ambulance nurses when using Boussignac CPAPcompared to their previous model, and their suggestions for possible improvements in the use of CPAP in the care of patients with pulmonary oedema. Method: A qualitative study with a descriptive and exploratory approach. Data was collected through ten semi-structured interviews with ambulance nurses, seven men and three women. The analysis was conducted using Lundman and Graneheim?s content analysis.

Denna undersökning handlar om individuellt alternativ som gymnasieprogram och elever med ADHD. Syftet med undersökningen är att få kunskap om vad ett individuellt alternativ för elever med neuropsykiatriska funktionshinder på gymnasiet innebär samt hur vägledare och elever upplever programmet utifrån begreppen känsla av sammanhang och stigmatisering. Våra frågeställningar är: 1)Vad kan ett individuellt alternativ för elever med neuropsykiatriska funktionshinder innebära? 2) På vilket sätt kan skolgången anpassas för eleverna som går på individuellt alternativ för elever med neuropsykiatriska funktionshinder? 3) Hur kan vägledare arbeta med elever på ett individuellt alternativ? 4) Hur kan elever uppleva det att gå på programmet utifrån begreppen stigmatisering och känsla av sammanhang? Vi använder oss av Goffmans teori om stigmatisering och Antonovskys teori om KASAM; känsla av sammanhang. Vi har valt dessa teorier för att vi tycker att begreppen stigmatisering och KASAM är viktiga för personer med ADHD.

Barn till psykisk sjuka kan ha ökad risk för psykisk ohälsa men detta kan uppvägas av tillgängliga skyddsfaktorer. Barn har blivit mer uppmärksammade inom vuxenpsykiatrin på senare år. Beardslees familjeintervention implementeras sedan 2008 i Sverige. Studien undersökte hur vuxenpsykiatrin stödjer barn till psykisk sjuka, speciellt angående interventionen. Tio anställda, utbildade i interventionen, från sju psykiatriska kliniker i Stockholm intervjuades.

Erfarenheten tyder på att många lärare upplever det som svårt att anpassa undervisningen utifrån varje enskild elevs behov, trots att det står i läroplanerna. Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva lärares tankar kring anpassning av undervisning så att den tillgodoser alla elevers behov i en klass. Detta är en kvalitativ studie baserad på intervjuer med fyra lärare, där vi bl.a. utgick från fallbeskrivningar, som beskriver fem elever med olika behov.Den här undersökningen efterfrågar en variation av lärarnas tankar kring anpassning av undervisningen utifrån alla elevers behov. Något som framkom i resultatet var att förhållningssättet gentemot eleverna är viktigt, att läraren bemöter dem med respekt.
