Kvinnliga elitidrottares karriäravslut : - en kvalitativ studie om rollutträdesprocessen

This study used a qualitative interview design to explore the experiences of seven Swedish female elite athletes and their career retirement. The athletes were engaged in three different sports; track and field (athletics), handball and golf and five of them are former professional or semi-professional athletes. The process of their athletic role exit was based on the theoretical findings of Ebaugh (1988) and her four phases: First Doubts, Seeking Alternatives, The Turning Point and Creating the Ex-Role. The findings reveal that for these female former elite athletes Seeking Alternatives already starts before the First Doubts and that possibly the athletes at an early stage have insights of the discontinuity of their athletic career. The importance of transferring their role residual to future paths in life was stressed among the female athletes in order to be able to have a smooth Transition process.

The core process is responsible for internal business development and is the process that runs through the organization and the results which creates a value for the customer. Some research suggests that identification of the client's conscious or unconscious needs clarifying the so-called core process in the organization and operations can thus be more effective. The study aims to identify and analyze the experience of the core process within child health care. The method has been interviews with nine managers and 10 clinic nurses in a county. The results show a lack of knowledge regarding core process and process work.

Den nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskans upplevelse av transitionen från student till arbetande sjuksköterska: en litteraturstudie

Varje år tar cirka 3700 sjuksköterskeexamen i Sverige. Efter examen påbörjas en transition från student till arbetande sjuksköterska. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva den nyutexaminerade sjuksköterskans upplevelse av denna transition. Studien baserades på tolv vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserades med en kvalitativ manifest innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i fem slutkategorier: att ha förväntningar på vården och sjuksköterskerollen, men bli besviken på verkligheten, att känna sig otillräckligt förberedd och det är överväldigande med allt nytt, att känna stress, rädsla och oro över det ansvar som vilar på axlarna, att känna sig ensam och sakna stöd samt att bli trygg och bekväm i sin sjuksköterskeroll genom att lotsas in i arbetet och bli en del av teamet.

Tidsberoende kvantkemiska beräkningar av optisk absorption hos polymerer och molekyler med litet bandgap

The vertical electronic excitation energies for the narrow-bandgap polymers LBPF, EP37 and EP62 have been calculated using Density Functional Theory (DFT). Also the vertical excitation energies for the acceptor unit of LBPF have been calculated using the Hartree-Fock (HF), DFT and Coupled Cluster (CC) methods. The calculations cover the visible and infrared wave length region and two strong transitions are obtained, one corresponding to the pi to pi* transition and one corresponding to the pi to Acceptor transition. The excitation energies obtained from DFT are below the corresponding experimental results and attempts have therefore been made to perform bench-marking calculations using a hierarchy of CC methods..

Forskningen gällande hjärt-kärlsjukdom har tidigare utgått från män och överförts till kvinnor trots att det finns skillnader i sjukdomsförlopp och påverkan på livssituationen mellan kvinnor och män. Studiens syfte var att beskriva kvinnors upplevelser av hjärtinfarkt utifrån ett transitionperspektiv. Metoden var en deskriptiv litteraturstudie där tio artiklar med kvalitativ metod ingick. Fyra rubriker med tillhörande kategorier togs fram. Första rubriken Hälsa omfattar kategorierna Diffusa fysiska symptom före den akuta fasen, Sjukdomsupplevelse i den akuta fasen och Fysisk försämring i återhämtningsfasen.

I have also tried to answer the questions whether the course mentally disability/functional gives the students a good start in their profession, if there are any flaws or if something is missing in the course or if they can think of any improvements to make the course better.This investigation is performed as a qualitative interview study where three women were interviewed about their education and their first years as assistants? (in the mentally disability profession). All the interviewed women have been working in the care activity for two or three years since they graduated.

Transitionen mellan grundskolan och gymnasieskolan för elever i behov av särskilt stöd

Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie är att ta reda på hur transitionen mellan grundskolan och gymnasiet organiseras och utformas för elever i behov av särskilt stöd. Vi har valt att intervjua två rektorer på gymnasieskolor samt en rektor på en grundskola med årskurs 9 elever. Metoden är en kvalitativ forskningsintervju vars huvudsyfte är att fånga fenomenet transition ur skolledares perspektiv. Anledningen till fokus på skolledare är att det ytterst är skolledarna som är ansvariga för organisering och utformning av transitionsprocessen för elever i behov av särskilt stöd. Resultatet av vår studie visar att det till stor del är enskilda skolornas normer och traditioner som påverkar transitionernas kvalité för elever i behov av särskilt stöd. Organisering och utformning utgår dels från vilka resurser och kompetenser skolorna har och dels från vilket specialpedagogiskt perspektiv som dominerar verksamheten..

Eurokoder : en jämförelse mot BKR

In Sweden there are currently two separate guidelines you may use whenperforming calculations on frameworks, BKR and the Eurocodes. Although at theend of 2010 you are not allowed to use BKR any longer and only the Eurocodeswill be viable. The aim of this thesis is to explain how the Eurocodes and EKS work and alsohow they compare to the current guideline BKR. Similarities and differencesbetween these guidelines are also discussed so that the reader will get a betterunderstanding of how the Eurocodes are applied. The areas discussed are asfollows:Principles and adviceSafety ClassesSymbols and IndexesLifespanLoads and partial coefficientThe thesis also deals with the impact that this transition into a new guideline willhave on corporations, guideline costs, education and computer software. As anexample a rough estimate on what costs this transition will create on a companywith 20 employees is also included. Calculations have been performed in order to investigate how the design valuesdiffer between the two guidelines, the Eurocodes and BKR.

Övergångarnas Dilemma : En uppsats om kvinnors underrepresentation i andelen övergångar ifrån Samhall AB till den reguljära arbetsmarknaden

With the ambitions to rehabilitate individuals with different kinds of work disabilities through work, the government owned Samhall AB has a long history as labour market measure in Sweden.To show Samhall AB its importance, the company has requirements to fulfill the goal that around 5 percent of their employees, at Samhall AB, every year shall be transferred to an employment outside the company, which is called transition. Unfortunately since this goal was introduced it also created several dilemmas. One dilemma is the long lasting female under representation in transitions from Samhall AB to the regular labour market.The essays main task is to investigate the factors behind the female under presentation in transition from Samhall AB through a genus perspective and by using quantitative and qualitative method.The main conclusions are that female under representation in transitions from Samhall AB are basically caused by structural factors. Samhall AB?s strong industrial tradition and particularly the strong segregation between female and males on the regular Swedish labour market may inhibit females in their transitions.

Karriärväxlande officerares kompetens och anställningsbarhet på civil arbetsmarknad.

The downsizing of the Swedish armed forces during the late 20th century and early 21 th century has caused several thousand people to choose a different career. This undergraduate thesis investigates the self-observed employability and work-place competence of a number of Swedish armed forces officers who has made the transition to a civil career. The thesis seeks to answer questions about how the transition is comprehended, how military merits and competences are valued in civil work places and which differences in ability to use their competences the respondents experience. The study is made using qualitative interviews, which are analysed using a miexed method inspired by phenomenological method. The findings include that the essence of the respondents emplooyability is a shared work indentity as miltary officers and a common experienced problem in translating their merits.

Investeringsbedömningsprocessen för strategiska investeringar - en fallstudie av NordiCorp

The aim of this study is to examine the investment decision process for investments that arise due to strategic changes and are of strategic importance to the company. At the foundation of this study is the previous research in this area, done by King (1975) and Bower (1970), which examines the investment process on a more generic level. At the core is the investment decision process pertaining to Projekt X, an investment performed by NordiCorp. Having conducted a case study including six interviews with employees from various parts of the organization, combined with a large number of internal documents, the process regarding the investment decision was carefully illuminated. The results show that in many regards, this process follows the more generic investment process.

To implement an ERP-system is not an easy process. The success of the implementation depend on many different variables. The most important one is perhaps the requirement process, to define what the organization wants and expects from the system. In this study, the advantages of a process mapping are examined, in relation to the phase where the requirements are expressed in an ERP-implementation. The conclusion is that a process mapping generates an increased communication with the supplier of the ERP-system, hence the business knows their processes and thereby what they want from the system.
