The goal of this project was to implement and compare Invere Discrete Cosine Transform using three methods i.e. by bit parallel, digit serial and bit serial. This application describes a one dimensional Discrete Cosine Transform by bit prallel method and has been implemented by 0.35 ìm technology. When implementing a design, there are several considerations like word length etc. were taken into account.

Hough Transform är en känd algoritm inom bildigenkänning men har ännu inte applicerats direkt på hudförändringar. Uppsatsen undersöker om Hough Transform kan användas med tillräckligt hög pålitlighet för att identifiera hudförändringar hos patienter. Den valda metoden är att med bildbehandling förbereda testbilder för att minimera brus och störningar, för att sedan med hjälp av MATLAB tillämpa algoritmen. Resultatet från uppsatsen med den valda metoden är att cirka 30% av hudförändringarna kunde identifieras.

This thesis shows the result from investigations of methods that use distance vectors when matching pictures. The distance vectors are available in a distance map made by the Euclidean Distance Transform. The investigated methods use the two characteristic features of the distance vector when matching pictures, length and direction. The length of the vector is used to calculate a value of how good a match is and the direction of the vector is used to predict a Transformation to get a better match. The division of Engineering Materials at Linköping University, department of Management and Engineering, conducted a research project concerning Fatigue life of thermal barrier coatings during 2009. During this project equipment to provoke these fatigue failure by rapidly heating and cooling test subjects in cycles, was ordered.Design and manufacturing of the equipment was handled internally at LIU.The equipment was built using a furnace that is lowered and raised over the table where the test subject is placed. To keep the temperature of the furnace a lid slides in place to close the downward facing opening of the furnace when it is in the raised position. On this door there is nozzle that is used to cooling of the test subject by air.To make sure that the equipment can work independently you need an automation controller that can evaluate if movement can occur without danger of collisions. A modern graphics card typically provides more than ten times the computational power of an ordinary PC processor.
