I denna studie undersöks hur smak, status och klass uttrycks i reality-TV-programmen Färjan (Kanal 5) och Danspalatset Playa del Sol (TV3). I program som dessa får vi följa människor som åker på kryssningar, semestrar och shoppar, alltmedan vi förväntas skratta åt dem. De ämnen som dessa program behandlar är tätt förbundna med en förståelse av klass. Syftet med denna uppsats är således att belysa klassaspekter och smakhierarkier. Vidare kommer representationen av smak diskuteras i relation till klass och status. Utifrån denna förståelse av klass som relaterat till smak och status skall sedan klasspositionering i programmen undersökas.

Bottar är program eller en kombination av program som kan simulera människor eller mänskligt arbete i en virtuell miljö. Den stora ökningen av möjligheter att tjäna pengar på olika spel, auktioner m.m. över nätet, tillsammans med mer avancerad AI-programmering, väcker frågan hur man etiskt ska ställa sig till användandet av bottar i dessa sorters verksamheter. Vare sig man informerar om deras existens eller inte. Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på vad folk vet om bottar, vad som gör att de vet detta och hur etiskt det är att använda bottar.

The thesis was performed at Forsmarks Kraftgrupp AB in the department ofmechanical engineering, FTCM. Forsmark nuclear power plant has had problems with cracks in some of the controlrods which are placed in the reactor at Forsmark 3. To investigate the cause of this,material samples were taken from five of the damaged control rods. This sampling ofthe rods resulted too short rods to be transported in the shipping container to theinterim storage facility for used nuclear fuel in Oskarshamn. Control rods are crucial components in a nuclear reactor, regulating the reactoreffect by blocking or unblocking fuel rods. Control rods which have been in thereactor are always handled under water in order to protect against the radiation theyemit. The task was to design a control rod adapter that extends the control rod sotransport can be performed from Forsmark. The goal of the work was a complete setof blueprints so the control rod adapter can be manufactured and mounted on theshort control rods and then be transported to the interim storage facility. The work began with mapping of how control rods normally being handled from thereactor to the interim storage facility.

Denna uppsats är en kvalitativ programteoretisk utvärderingsstudie av Viva resurs, ett lokalt arbetsmarknadspolitiskt program i Umeå kommun. Studien undersöker hur fyra arbetsledare inom verksamheten arbetar med klienter och de problem och utmaningar de ställs inför i sin yrkesroll. Området arbetsrehabilitering har aktualiserats eftersom det under de senaste åren har skett förändringar på den arbetsmarknadspolitiska arenan. Som en konsekvens av detta ska människor som tidigare stod långt ifrån arbetsmarknaden nu arbetsprövas.Detta ställer i sin tur nya krav på kommunala arbetsmarknadspolitiska åtgärder, vilket i sin tur förändrar socialarbetarens roll inom dessa program.Denna studie visar att arbetsledarna har en positiv människosyn gentemot de arbetssökande och att de arbetar med att stärka positiva mekanismer hos individen i enlighet med KASAM. Arbetsledarna lyfter fram utslussning och intern- och extern samordning som potentiella utvecklingsområden för verksamheten.

This work derives from the question ?What is a beautiful road??. The question is being discussed in interviews with two employees at the Swedish National Road Administration and two former members of the ?Council of environment and beauty? at the Swedish National Road Administration. The interviews are summarized in my own discussion about the concept of ?Beautiful roads?.

The rise of the Swedish Democrats, as a political party in Sweden, has been surroundedby controversy both within and outside of the media. As such a polarizingtopic, the party has been the focus of negative and positive attention. On onehand it has been considered a racist and xenophobic party due to its policies onimmigrants. On the other, it has also been seen as a solution to what has been consideredby some to be a constant problem in Sweden, for those same policies.These policies are motivated by what the party perceives as a threat to Swedishsociety. That is to say, immigrants are a threat to Sweden because of thechanges they impose on the Swedish identity.

Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på vad elever och lärare på gymnasieskolans teoretiska program menar vara orsaken till ?skolmisslyckanden? i gymnasiet och hur man kan arbeta pedagogiskt och specialpedagogiskt för att minska antalet ?skolmisslyckanden?. Undersökningen har gjorts med en kvalitativ metod, där 28 elever i årskurs ett och tre på ett teoretiskt program i gymnasiet, samt fyra av deras lärare har intervjuats. Intervjuerna har bearbetats med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys. De teoretiska utgångspunkterna för arbetet är Antonovskys salutogena perspektiv, Bronfenbrenners utvecklingsekologiska teori samt Dilemmaperspektivet. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att den huvudsakliga orsaken för ?skolmisslyckanden? enligt eleverna och lärarna i undersökningen är brist på motivation hos eleverna.

Bakgrund: Personer som använder Internet kan bli övervakade och profilerade av bland annat spionprogram och cookies på webbsidor. Dessa spion-program och dolda filer kan samla ihop information om användaren som skickas tillbaka till sändaren. Detta sker ofta utan användarens vetskap. Företag som placerar spionprogram i fildelningsprogram har syftet att samla information för att sedan rikta reklam till privatpersoner. Den information som kommer tillbaka kan säljas vidare i undersökande syfte för reklam till en tredje part.

Hur tillägnar sig gymnasieelever sin kunskap och är de medvetna om hur de tillägnar sig praktisk och teoretisk kunskap? Dessa frågor har Comenius och Dewey långt före mig sökt svaret på. Denna studie avser att bidra med kunskap om denna process. De elever som ingått i denna studie berättar om hur de upplever skillnader och likheter mellan teoretisk och praktisk kunskap. Elevernas tolkningar om hur de uppfattar lärandet är en central del av arbetet där elevens syn är viktig.

Introduction: Balance is a complicated term which includes a static, dynamic and functional part. These parts have, during a long period of time, been included into the existing training programs through several different balance exercises, which aim to prevent sports injuries mostly focused on the knee and ankle. In floorball these injuries are common and a sports injury prevention program is required.Purpose: The purpose is to explain the balance term and relate it to injury prevention training and the existing theories. A second purpose is to see whether five weeks of balance training increases the balance ability in female floorball players and thereby increase the test values in the two tests.Method: Twenty female floorball players participated in the study and were divided into a training group and a control group. They performed a Star excursion balance test (SEBT) and a Multiple single leg hop stabilization test (MSLHST) before and after a five week training period, containing exercises of balance.Results: The training group showed improvement after the training period, however only one significant result was found.

The purpose of this study is to examine how the editorial staff from the Swedish radio program Morgonpasset i P3 and the Norwegian radio program P3morgen uses Facebook and Twitter and how they can use social media as a tool in the production. The purpose is also to examine how active both of the editorial staff are on Facebook and Twitter and which kind of language they use on Facebook and Twitter. The radio programs both work under a lot of similar conditions and are both controlled by public service in both countries. To conduct the study qualitative interviews was performed with the web editor Christoffer Malm from Morgonpasset i P3 and the radio presenter Silje Nordnes from P3morgen in combination with a quantitative content analysis. The study was conducted over a limited period of the autumn of 2013.

The aim of this paper is to investigate how well information and communication technology (ICT) is implemented in the new teacher training program in the subject of Swedish and how this is presented in the applications for examination licence to the National Swedish Agency for Higher Education. This is an interesting field of study, since ICT has been selected, by an investigation chosen by the government to be one of four overall perspectives that are supposed to permeate the teacher training program. There have been several difficulties involved in this project of which one has been the extent of the material.  27 applications and all curriculums in the subject of Swedish belonging to them have been examined. Another difficulty was that the applications and the curriculums are written by different persons under different conditions such as time and resources.

This case study examines how a group of upper secondary school students in a multiethnical suburb of Stockholm reason about the theory of evolution. The theoretical background of the thesis is postcolonial and the questions raised were how spread the creationist thoughts are in the group; in what way the backgrounds of the students are relevant to their thoughts; how the students construct the notion of the theory of evolution; how they position themselves and others in relation to the discourse of the theory of evolution; if there are any differences between students at the collage program of natural science and the collage program of social science, and in that case, what differences; and who or what inspires the young in their thoughts about the theory of evolution. To answer these questions both a survey poll and interviews were used. The result of the case study showed that a majority of the students at the investigated school has creationist ideas and that the students profiled on social science have creationist ideas in a wider extent. Another result is that the religious background seems to be relevant to develop creationist thoughts, while the variables gender, home district and educational level did not differ the creationist group from the whole group.

Problem: Underhållningsutbudet i TV ökar och televisionens möjligheter att stimulera till debatt och fungera som kunskapskälla riskerar att försvagas. Paradise Hotel, en så kallad realityserie, sändes flitigt i TV4 under våren 2005. Detta program och dess deltagare får stort offentligt utrymme medan många andra program, människor och idéer utesluts från televisionen.Syfte: Vårt syfte är att undersöka Paradise Hotels framställning av genuskategorier och kroppsideal samt att urskilja vilka kulturella mönster som genomsyrar programmet. Vårt syfte är också att diskutera vad Paradise Hotel och TV4:s allt mer underhållningsinriktade programutbud kan tänkas innebära för medborgarnas deltagande i det offentliga livet.Metod: Undersökningen baseras på en kvalitativ dokumentanalys och litteraturstudier. Vårt empiriska material består av tio avsnitt av Paradise Hotel samt material från seriens officiella hemsida.

Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) is a way to graphically draw a diagram of a business process. A BPMN diagram consists of several so-called flow objects. These are interconnected in the graph through sequence  flows. BPMN models are merely graphical representations of business process and there is a need to simulate these diagrams for different purposes. The simulation that now is available for BPMN is that the model is evaluated by checking if it is correct.
