This is important because consumers are otherwise at risk of waterborne infection caused by pathogens. There are three groups of pathogens; bacteria, virus and parasite. These have different characteristics which mean that they require different water treatment to be separated.

Denna uppsats är skriven inom ämnet Företagsekonomi och omfattar 15 högskolepoäng på C-nivå på Institutionen för ekonomi vid Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet. Tanken bakom vår uppsats är att ge en bild av vad controlled traffic farming (hädanefter förkortat CTF) är, samt om odlingstekniken kan ge bättre lönsamhet i svenskt lantbruk. Förhoppningen är därmed att uppsatsen skall ge en grundförståelse inom ämnet. CTF innebär att permanenta körspår anläggs och att all fälttrafik sker i dessa körspår. Följderna av detta blir således att åkermarken mellan körspåren övergår till att vara mer lucker, eftersom lantbruksmaskinernas markpackning koncentreras till körspåren. Markpackning är ett av de stora problemen i dagens jordbruk och målet med CTF är att öka lönsamheten genom högre fältavkastning till följd av bättre markförhållanden för grödan. Studien utgörs av en jämförelse mellan konventionell plöjningsfri växtodling och odling med systemet CTF.

Whiplash is a bodily injury, where the person that is injured is subjected to force towards the neck, mainly in traffic accidents. Even low speed accidents can cause severe damage due to the complicated muscle and nerve structure of the neck. Symptoms range from neck aches and headaches to numb fingers and this makes the Whiplash injury difficult to diagnose. Whiplash is also a treacherous injury due to the fact that the symptoms can not be objectively verified. The principal symptom of the injury is pain, which is to its nature highly subjective.

Since the late 50th century, the automobile has been normative in the Swedish society (Lundin 2008). This has led to an urban environment deeply characterized by the motor vehicle and its necessities, while other means of transportation, such as train and bicycle, have been ignored and put aside. However, over the past decades, a new trend has been seen in urban planning as a consequence of the increasing knowledge of the negative qualities caused by the car. As a result, the bicycle is seen as a conceivable transport mode.This thesis examines cycling on four issues:- Why is there a need of more cyclists? - How can the total number of cyclists as well as the number of satisfied cyclists increase? - Which factors affect the choice of transport mode? - Which factors affect the choice of route?The first two questions are discussed from a literature study that was conducted at the beginning of the thesis.

This essay describes the phases of funeral rituals between the Syrian/Assyrian, and compares the homeland with Sweden. It describes the stage of rituals according to Victor Turner schema of separation, margin or limin, and aggregation. The rituals religious significance agrees with Clifford Geertz?s theory about the importance of religious beliefs for the human being.

The primary aim of the current study was to gain increased knowledge about drivers' risk experiences. The study was based on questionnaires answered by 30 private drivers and 30 bus drivers, with 50% men and 50% woman in each group. The study revealed no differences, either between men and women drivers with regard to their experience of risk, or between the groups of private and bus drivers. Gambling is common within the private drivers group. Mistakes are common in all groups.

Today dairy farmers in Sweden are obligated to have lights turned on during night time in addition to the mandatory daylight inlet. This presents a cost for the production but many argue that it can be economically beneficial, especially in loose housing of dairy cows. In loose housing and even more so in herds with automatic milking, well functioning cow traffic during all hours of the day is crucial to optimise production. In order to keep the cow traffic flowing, lights may be an important management tool. It is also perceived among farmers with tied up stall that night light decreases the incidents of cows accidental stepping on their own or neighbours udders.

Separation av ko och kalv sker tidigt inom både konventionell och ekologisk mjölkproduktion. Enligt KRAV:s tidigare regler skulle ko och kalv gå tillsammans under råmjölksperioden, det vill säga de första fyra dygnen. Nyligen ändrades reglerna till endast ett dygn och närmar sig i och med det praxis inom konventionell produktion, där djuren separeras omgående efter födseln. Detta innebär en stor kontrast mot nötkreaturens naturliga beteende, där ko och kalv skiljs åt i samband med kalvens könsmognad eller ännu senare. Studier har visat att den tidiga separationen inom mjölkproduktionen innebär en stress och ett potentiellt välfärdsproblem för både ko och kalv.

This thesis investigates the socio- and environmental economic effects of a deep repository for spent nuclear fuel in Forsmark in the municipality of Östhammar. I seek to show the general picture but focus on the effects on employment, environment and income. Cost-benefit analysis is used to investigate the differences in utility between a scenario with and a scenario without a deep repository in Forsmark. Most of the possible effects can not be valued and many can not even be quantified with the data available today. Therefore this thesis has a bit of a ?preliminary study character? and seeks to show what we know today and what needs to be further investigated when available data allow it. The costs that could be valued are noise from the traffic during the period of building and emissions of carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxides from the transportation of rock masses during the building period.

Syftet för denna kvalitativa och empiriguidade studie har varit att i sociologisk mening utgöra bidrag till begripliggörandet av ett fenomen som består i att föräldrar hamnar i domstolsprocesser om de gemensamma barnen efter separation. Huvudfrågan som berördes var: Vad kan känneteckna föräldraparsrelationer där parterna efter separation hamnar i domstolsprocesser om de gemensamma barnen?Resultaten har utgått från fem fäders upplevelser och den mening som de tillskrivit dessa upplevelser. Relationerna såg i huvudsak ut att ha följt den traditionella könsrollsmallen där fäderna har burit huvudansvaret för den ekonomiska försörjningen och mödrarna har tagit ut större delen av föräldraledigheten. Fäderna upplevde sig vara mer aktiva än mödrarna, och ansåg sig vara mer kommunikativa inom relationen.

This thesis was performed at SverigeGrepen AB. SverigeGrepen is a company that hasone product on the market; a manure fork that is designed to be used for mucking inshavings or peat. The aim of this thesis was to develop a new manure fork that isadapted to be used in straw.The development started with a pilot study where experience of mucking wascollected to be able to understand what and why certain characteristics are importantfor the function and use of the manure fork.A basic concept was developed where the main function was fulfilled, which meantthat a separation between dung and straw could be performed in a way that wasbeneficial for the user.The work resulted in four concepts of how a manure fork could be used in the strawthat can be designed and constructed. The conclusion that the work gave was that allconcepts met the main requirements required by a manure fork to use in straw.However, concept four provides a good visual impression, while its benefits areassumed to be important qualities..

Enligt Skolverket (2003) så har yrkeselever låg motivation och dålig förståelse för matematikstudier. Jag vill med detta arbete undersöka hur ett ämnesintegrerat arbete kan påverka denna låga motivation och den dåliga förståelsen som finns för ämnet. I flertalet styrdokument så påpekas vikten av samverkan på skolorna för att uppnå alla mål. Trots detta så förekommer det sällan någon samverkan och jag vill därför se närmare på orsaker till detta. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka några lärares syn på ämnesintegrering gällande matematik och yrkesförberedande linjer.

I have written an experiential essay about my role as a preschool director and the important work decisions that I face. What is best for the child? That is something that I think is important to take into consideration.In the narrative, I describe how an induction occurs at my preschool. We use an "old" tried and true method which spans two to three weeks, which I believe is best for children under the age of two. They need to first connect withone educator who they are comfortable with before they are secure enough to play and explore the environment of the preschool.In recent years, another method has emerged which is shorter and which has quickly became popular in many preschools.
