The wild boar population grows rapidly in number in Sweden, and it has been predicted that the annual number of shot wild boar will soon exceed the cull of moose. According to estimates, the Swedish population encompassed some 150 000 individuals in 2010. The mean annual harvest has increased by 30% since 1990, indicating that the wild boar is a species we must learn to manage sustainably. A successful management of the boars aims for a population in balance with agriculture and traffic, and also provides good hunting opportunities. For this to be possible, understandings of several aspects of the ecology of wild boar is needed. The sows in this study had an average homerange of 707 hectares during summer, and 659 hectares in winter.

This final thesis was performed at Ericsson in Gävle between April and June of 2008. Ericsson is a world leading manufacturer of radio base stations (RBS), which handles mobile phone traffic with 2G and 3G technology. The main purpose of this study is to examine if two different types of products (RBS and site material) should have different terms and conditions, today the terms and conditions are the same for both types. During the course of our study we have tried to think of the terms reliability, validity and generalization. The intention in doing that was to keep the thesis at a high academic level. To name an example of this we have tried to keep our minds at an objective level during the interviews and informal conversations.

Our thesis is a single-case study in which we try to answer the question: Why didn?t the lobbygroup Eurogroup for Animals get enough support for their demands in the latest regulation regarding transport of animals? As an example of their cooperation with their memberorganisations, we have chosen the Swedish organisation Djurens Rätt. Through interviews with key-persons involved in the process and with the use of Jeremy Richardson's theory regarding lobbying in the EU, we found that there were many different factors that effected Eurogroup for Animals chances to get an animal friendly legislation. For example by setting too ambitious demands Eurogroup for Animals wasn?t considered to be a serious actor during the legislation process.

The wild boar (Sus scrofa L.) has expanded across Europe and Sweden in the last decades. It is a generalist species which utilizes a variety of habitats, and its presence has been shown to have both positive and negative effects for people and the landscape they are in. The abundance and increase of wild boar has previously been shown to differ between counties in Sweden, but there have been few explanations as to why. In this study, I investigated correlations between the per capita rate of change (r) among wild boar populations in Sweden and a variety of different habitats on the county level. I also investigated if fragmentation per se or in certain habitats could be associated with the wild boar?s per capita rate of change. My results show that fragmentation/diversity per se was not correlated with wild boar r.

Fokus i denna uppsats ligger på gränsdragningen mellan avtal om styckegodstransport och befraktningsavtal. Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva skillnaderna mellan avtalstyperna och hur man rättsligt kan avgöra vilken avtalstyp som är förhanden. I syftet ligger en ambition att tydliggöra motiven bakom uppdelningen och med detta som bakgrund tydliggöra vilka rättsliga och kommersiella faktorer som är relevanta att ta hänsyn till vid en härledning till avtalstypen i oklara fall. Uppsatsen har en delvis tillbakablickande karaktär vars primära syfte är att tydliggöra den kommersiella och rättsliga utveckling som resulterat i sjölagens uppdelning i avtal om styckegodstransport och befraktningsavtal. Men uppsatsen är också framåtblickande då ett ytterligare syfte är att peka på de skillnader som FN-konventionen om transport av gods helt eller delvis till sjöss (Rotterdamreglerna) kan komma att medföra för den nämnda gränsdragningen..

The tourism industry is a young industry in Sweden but important for the economy and a large part of the field is mountain tourism. Marketing a place is called destination marketing, which has become a huge phenomenon and an important part of efforts for promotion in the tourism industry. The entrepreneurs in the tourism industry are an important part, as these are a big part of the destination. Their marketing and communication becomes a force to reckon with in order to attract tourists to the area. The purpose of this study is to examine how entrepreneurs through destination marketing reach their target market and with the intention to identify marketing channels that the entrepreneur uses.

The music distribution in Sweden and the world is rapidly changing. The music industry, however, has been reluctant to change the way they distribute music. The consequence has been that illegal music files have been available for downloading to anyone with an Internet connection. Because of the illegal downloading a new law have been implemented in an attempt to stop this behaviour. Our theory is that in implementing the IPRED-law, the sites that were hosting most of the illegal material will experience a severe decrease in traffic.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att utföra en arbetskravsanalys för tunneltågförare och spårvagnsförare vid Veolia Transport AB. Frågeställningarna var: Vilka personliga egenskaper, teoretiska förmågor och värderingar är viktiga i yrket som tunneltågförare och spårvagnsförare? Undersökningen gjordes genom intervjuer, enkät och teorier om personliga egenskaper, teoretiska förmågor, arbetsvärderingar och interpersonella värderingar. Resultaten visar att de viktigaste personliga egenskaperna var ansvar/pliktmedvetenhet, noggrannhet/ordning, personlig stabilitet och stresstolerans och att de viktigaste teoretiska förmågorna var perceptiv noggrannhet/snabbhet/uthållighet, rumsuppfattning/avståndsbedömning samt simultankapacitet medan de viktigaste värderingarna var tydlighet i kommunikationen, noggrannhet/ordningsamhet och trygghet/säkerhet. Rekommendationen är att uppdatera befintlig arbetskravspecifikation och att se över bruket av testbatteri vid urval och nyanställning för att möjliggöra bättre matchning mellan arbetskrav och individ..

För ett flygbolag är det viktigt att ha en effektiv planering av sina resurser. Att kunna utnyttja personal och flygplan på rätt sätt är en förutsättning för en fortsatt överlevnad på marknaden. Flygbolagens tjänstebestämmelser regleras idag enligt nuvarande BCL-D 1.15. Under våren 2004 har Luftfartsverket behandlat en remiss som utgör ett förslag på en eventuell förändring av dessa tjänstebestämmelser. A fauna passage is a way for animals to cross roads separated from the traffic. In Sweden, there are an unknown number of passages with different functions and appearances. These passages would, with the question ?Which fauna passages can be found in Sweden, and how well do they work?? as a base, be compiled in a comparable way. This would be done with a number of questions asked to the different regions of Vägverket.

Teknikens utveckling har gått fort fram de senaste åren, dagens smartphoneanvändare harmöjligheten att utföra ärenden som det för något år sedan krävdes en dator för. I denna studieutfördes en undersökning av mobila Internet-användares vanor och vad som är utmärkandeför mobilt internetanvändande. Tio respondenter förde loggbok där de fyllde i ett detaljeratschema för varje aktivitet, bl.a. var och vad de besökte. De tio respondenterna intervjuadessedan för att få ett djupare intryck av deras mobila internetavändande.Resultaten visar att den vanligaste platsen för surfning skedde i hemmet, respondenternatrodde dock att de skedde under transport.

The purpose of this thesis was to create a strategic/tactical road access plan. This was done by designing an analytical method which gives the road manager a template to create long-term road access plans. The analytical method will help to identify and appraise roads to be upgraded and give information when it is time for building new roads. The study method involved developing an analytical method. The method was comprised of five main parts: the harvest plan, analysis of the road network, transport costs, quality and storage costs and finally, identification of investment alternatives.

The valleys southwest of Storuman has been exploration targets for sulfide mineralizationslike the Laisvall Pb-Zn deposit since the late 1900 when several mineralized boulders wherefound. No previous glaciogeological survey has been made. This report focus on thedirections of local paleoiceflows and glacial transportation in the area of Skikkisjön, thelocation of the westernmost mineralized boulder, found in 2010. The aim of this study hasbeen to create a picture of the glaciogeological evolution of the area in order to determinatepossible hostrock areas. My results suggest that the geomorphology and transportationoccurred during a western icedivide located in the nearby mountainrange.

To promote people?s health it is important that natural environments have good soundscapes, research show that visiting natural surroundings and listening to sounds of nature promote rehabilitation and relief stress. The purpose of this essay is to determine the value of rehabilitation in forests in Carlshem and Röbäck.
