Many political reforms are currently implemented in the Swedish schools. The trend indicate that education in Sweden follows neo-liberal restructuring policy, that highlights assessment, marketization and surveillance in different aspects. According to the new curriculum LGR 11 the school head is the school's educational leader with responsibility for the school's results and development. The reforms put new demands on the school heads tasks, their responsibility and leadership. The aim of my research study is to investigate how the school heads experience andhandle this situation.

Denna studie handlar om att skapa en fördjupad förståelse för hur lärarna i idrott och hälsa undervisar, bedömer och betygsätter elever i gymnasieskolans idrott och hälsas friluftsliv. Den enskilda lärarens definition av begreppet friluftsliv och hur lärare i dagens skolor definierar idrott och hälsas friluftsliv utifrån styrdokumenten redovisas även. Metoden som ligger till grund för studien är en kvalitativ undersökning. Undersökningen har gjorts med hjälp av intervjuer med lärare i idrott och hälsa på sex olika skolor i närliggande län. Vad som framkommer är att det finns otydligheter i styrdokumenten och att detta skapar stora tolkningsmöjligheter för den enskilda läraren.

During the course of history, the world have come to see powerful nations rise and fall, religions spread and diminish ? and all too often there have been violent struggles between religious groups and secular forces, a fact that we still see in our world today. In the West, we often hear about the violent and fundamental dimensions of Islam. Buddhism is rarely a part of the equation in a western context, regarding violence. A common perception is the picture of Buddhism as a guardian of non-violent principles and values.

This essay aims to explore continuity in water centric cult within the period of the Christianization of Scandinavia (ca 800-1100 AD) and to understand the changing of symbolism of water in pre-Christian cult and early Christian religion. It has previously been thought that Christian priests took over the old holy wells and renamed them after saint, all to ease the pagan people into a Christian lifestyle. But archaeological evidence shows that the cult at these wells, and other water centric sites, where almost completely abandoned a few hundred years before the Christians came to Scandinavia. The Christians should not have felt the need to transform this tradition since it was only practiced in a very small and supposedly private scale. On the contrary, religious activities at these wells seems to increase with the new religion and perhaps this is explained by Christianity itself.

Syften med arbetet var tudelat, dels en skriftlig del med syftet att utreda vad som kan göra det svårt för elever att följa de instruktioner de får använda sig av i den textila slöjden. Dels en alternativ del som innefattar utformandet av ett hjälpmedel som elever fått ge sin respons på och därmed blivit delaktiga i det slutgiltiga utformandet. Frågeställningarna har varit: Vad kan vara svårt för elever att förstå i instruktionerna? Vad skulle kunna göra dessa lättare att förstå? Hur ska ett hjälpmedel konstruerat utifrån mina antaganden och analyser bli en tillgång för eleverna? Studien har utförts genom att göra en analys av klädsömnadsinstruktioner samt kvalitativa intervjuer med elever. Intervjuerna visar att det fanns en samstämmighet mellan analysen av klädsömnadsistruktioner om vad som kan vara svårt för elever och vad de själva anser är svårt.

Byggbranschen förknippas ofta med en långsam utveckling eftersom det finns en viss tradition i branschen, vilket leder till att nya arbetsmetoder inte alltid får chansen att utvecklas. En utveckling inom byggbranschen, genom nya produktionsmetoder, kan till en början ge en ökad produktionskostnad och förlust men kan leda till en minskad produktionskostnad och vinst på lång sikt. Syftet med examensarbetet, som utförts i samarbete med Svevia och Betongindustri, var att studera och sammanställa olika recept av självkompakterande betong (SKB) till brobyggnationer. Blandningarna av SKB skulle anpassas för de olika brodelarna: pelare och fundament, vägbana samt lutande vägbana. Att öka användningen av denna typ av betong skulle leda till en utveckling inom produktionen.

This essay discusses the decision of licensing for nursery and school teachers. In Swedish society there has for a long time been discourse about professionalisation within various industries, including teaching. One strategy towards achieving professional status is official authorisation of a profession, which occurs when a profession obtains licensing. In February 2011, the Swedish government announced the decision that nursery and school teachers would be licensed. This means that only those with an education can be employed as a teacher and obtain that license.

My essay is an examination of the poet Mina Loy and two poems that are essential in her authorship, these poems also represents a thematic entrance to Loys life and literary concepts. On the basis of Gunnar Harding preface and translation of selected poems from the collection Lunar Baedeker, I have chosen to look further at the poems Lunar Baedeker and Songs to Joanne, poems that accommodate contexts of an esthetical and linguistic complexion.Using terminology from the philosopher Gilles Deleuze as method for analysis, enabling an examination which proceeds from the concepts of nomadism, deterritorialization and line of flight. In the consideration of Loys modernistic and woman ?becoming, a situational and relational context is introduced which includes references to feminism, cosmopolitism, futurism, modernism, Dadaism as well as to acquaintances of Gertrude Stein, Djuna Barnes, F.T. Marinetti and Isadora Duncan.

Det finns bestämmelser i ÅRL att börsnoterade företag skall bifoga en kassaflödesanalys i sin årsredovisning för att redovisa en likviditetsförändring under året. Kassaflödesanalysen upprättas antingen genom den direkta eller indirekta metoden. De företag som följer IAS 7 uppmuntras till att tillämpa den direkta metoden, före den indirekta. Trots detta fortsätter en stor del av de svenska företagen att tillämpa den sistnämnda.  Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka de bakomliggande faktorerna till varför svenska företag använder indirekt eller direkt metod vid redovisning av kassaflöden. Metod: Det är en deduktiv studie som testar teorin i praktiken, där fyra kategorier undersöks (Tradition; Go with the flow; Lämpligare info; Mindre kostsam).

Gothic literature has a tradition of dealing with dark subjects, themes and motifs, as well as depicting fear in different shapes and forms. Dani Cavallaro describes dark fiction in terms of the "aesthetic of the unwelcome". The philosopher Edmund Burke separates the beautiful from the sublime and writes that everything that is capable of producing a terror of pain and death is a source of the sublime. In her essay "On the Supernatural in Poetry", Ann Radcliffe draws a clear line between the concepts of terror and horror and distinguished them as fundamentally different. In this essay, I define the terms horror and terror by following up the research surrounding Radcliffes statement.

Syftet med detta arbete är att få en djupare inblick i den venezolanske kompositören Antonio Lauros gitarrmusik genom att analysera och interpretera några av hans valser. De metoder jag valt innefattar litteraturstudier, interpretationsanalys, kompositionsteknisk analys och inspelning av musiken. Jag har inriktat mig på att placera musiken i en kulturell kontext och att identifiera stiltypiska drag för den venezolanska valsen och hur dessa element återspeglas på Lauros personliga sätt i hans kompositioner. Lauros valser för gitarr har en stark koppling till folkmusik men har även sin förankring inom en akademisk tradition. Med utgångspunkt från detta har jag sedan gjort en egen tolkning och inspelning av ett antal stycken.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att studera vilka högtider som uppmärksammas i förskolemiljöer, varför just dessa lyfts fram samt att diskutera detta i förhållande till förskolans läroplan och Konventionen om barnets rättigheter. Uppsatsens empiri består av tjugo intervjuer med pedagoger verksamma i Stockholm med omnejd, vilka förmedlar att det är de så kallade ?svenska högtiderna? som uppmärksammas och även firas. Andra religioners och kulturers högtider kommuniceras mest enskilt, med de barn som tillhör dessa. Den läroplan som förskolan sedan 1998 lyder under, talar om att överföra ett kulturarv till barnen.

Abstract The aim of this study is to create a pathway through Gustav Sandgren?s short-story collection Skymningssagor and the second collection with that title, based on his social criticism, notions of art and nature, use of fairytale motifs and finally, his view of the metaphoric liberation of mankind. The study is based on a comparative and thematic investigation, illustrated by examples from Sandgren?s short stories. The theoretical framework is based on Eva Nordlinder?s study of the art fairytale in Sekelskiftets svenska konstsaga och sagodiktaren Helena Nyblom (1992) and Konstsaga och Kultursyn (1992) as well as Torben Brostrøm?s study of the folktale in Folksagan och den moderna litteraturen (1992). The investigation shows that Sandgren?s social criticism permeates his short stories, but that his keys to salvation, nature and art (first and foremost music) exist to help mankind rise above our shackles. The investigation also shows that Sandgren?s short stories are firmly placed within the tradition of the fairytale and the romantic notion of a relation between nature and man.  Keywords social criticism, fairytale, nature, music, art, liberation.

The ambition of this study is to examine the discussion surrounding the Swedish participation in the European security- and defence policy. By forming feasible areas of arguments the goal is to gain further comprehension in the case of Sweden. These arguments are formed in close relation to the empirical sources; With less public funding there are economic aspects of cooperation, this could also be related to Swedish the industry of defence systems; A high level of participation in the UN is a tradition in Swedish foreign policy, the European battle groups are the perfect tool to further strengthen the UN ability in conflict management and peace keeping missions; Outside the EMU Sweden could face the political margin, to retain influence a high level of activity ought to occur in the integration process; Finally, the future position of United States and NATO is not clear, Europe needs an capacity apart the US to contribute to lasting peace and stability. The arguments are close related to each other, but the main argument is to through ESDP create a tool that will strengthen UN, there is also a wide range of economic arguments related to the industry..

Studien är genomförd inom ramen för Magisterutbildning med inriktning på Utbildningsledning 40 p, Karlstads universitet. Uppsatsen utgörs av en kartläggning av elevers möjligheter att påverka skolans förbättringsarbeten på olika nivåer. Metoden som använts för studien är intervjuer med fyra rektorer, fyra lärare och enkäter med 85 elever i år 5, år 6 och år 9. Intervjuer och enkäter har genomförts på tre skolenheter i två kommuner i Sydsverige. Resultatet visar på att förbättringsarbeten är en ständigt pågående process, att formellt elevinflytande fungerar väl på de undersökta skolorna.
