My thesis is a combination of theory and practice, where theory is meant to create a context and a background for my interpretation proposal. I wanted to ?access? the ideas that are always in the background of the reasoning which underlies both planning in a larger scale, and the design of a place. I wanted to make a ?work of ideas.? In the process of shaping the proposal, I wanted to be deleted from the site itself.

Det är ingen enkel process att ge sig in i en okänd framtid. Inom den fysiska planeringen är det betydelsefullt att göra långsiktiga studier och bedömningar som rör mark-, vatten- och naturresurser för att skapa en rimlig avvägning mellan olika anspråk på nyttjande och bevarande. Fysisk planering är till stor del en kommunal fråga, men samtidigt är det allt fler planeringsfrågor som behöver ses i ett regionalt, nationellt eller transnationell perspektiv. Det verkar vara hög tid för nationell framtid. De institutionella förutsättningarna som behövs för fysisk planering på en nationell nivå saknas i Sverige och något sammanhållet nationellt dokument har inte heller utarbetats. Eftersom de nordiska länderna utgår från liknande grundförhållande både vad gäller gleshet och avstånd mellan städer, naturförutsättningar samt befolkningsutveckling väcktes mitt intresse att studera hur man framförallt i norden arbetar med nationella dokument.

The purpose of my examination is contributing with knowledge about the relation between language- stimulation in preschool and read- and writes developing and teachers thought about that. In order to meet the purpose I read literature that deals with my matter and is based previous research. I also made qualitative interviews with three elementary school teachers and three preschool teachers who work within preschools that concentrate on development of language in a town in the middle of Sweden.  In this way I find out about their thoughts about what they think is important to work with about language in preschool and how the preschool teachers can work with the development of language to make it easier for the children in their read- and writes developing. The result shows that it is important to work with children?s development of language in preschool.

Mycket av vårt lands mest högklassiga jordbruksmarker finns i Skåne. Samtidigt befinner sig många skånska kommuner i expansiva faser och behovet av nya bostäder är stort. Städernas behov av utveckling och expansion och bevarandet av landsbygd och jordbruksmark kommer då ofta i konflikt. Jordbruksmarken är en ändlig resurs, som är viktig för mänskligheten genom bland annat livsmedelsförsörjning, förnyelsebara tillgångar och för de naturliga ekosystems funktioner, men även för människornas behov av rekreation. I Miljöbalken benämns jordbruk vara av nationell betydelse.

This essay is an ideographic study over the capacity of high school students to use the Internet with source criticism, and their attitudes towards this media. It?s a qualitative study whose main purpose is to seek out how the students reflect upon the problems facing them when searching facts and information over the internet.The focus group is six 18 year old high school students, who are studying in a normal sized town in the middle of Sweden, and are about to finish their studies in the program for social sciences. The study was made through interviews, one on one with the students,The results of the analysis have shown that even if students not necessarily use a pre meditated method when searching for information over the internet, they do have a basic understanding of the matter, especially concerning the nature of the source, who published it and why. Not all students made any thorough comparison with other, already established media, such as TV or books, but the analysis made it clear that they more or less deliberately saw the established media as more trustworthy in general.

The municipality of Enköping is presently working out a new layout plan for the town of Enköping and new residences are planned in the harbour area. Because of these plans, the municipal energy company ENA Energi may have to move its location from the harbour to another part of the city.The aim of this degree project is to investigate the possibility of building a new CHP plant in another area of Enköping. The future demand on district heating and infrastructure at the new location have been projected. A new CHP plant has been dimensioned and economic analyses concerning the project have been made.Results show that the future demand of district heating in Enköping will differ a little from the present needs. The aim of this essay is to examine whether democracy in St Petersburg isconsolidated or not. Since studies of democratic transition have been rarelyconducted on post-communist cities, this study seems fruitful. Using the Linz andStepan theory, where democracy is considered consolidated when it has become?the only game in town? and Orttung's three criteria legitimacy, politicalpolarisation and policy effectiveness; this essay analyzes people's attitudes,political behaviour, the rule of law and civil society in St Petersburg. Theory isused to interpret the material mainly consisting of two interviews and newspaperarticles.

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka hur Eskilstunas centrala stadstorg, Fristadstorget, kan bli mer inbjudande och attraktivt då det idag råder en vedertagen syn bland medborgare och kommun att torget inte är inbjudande nog. Torget brukas inte i den utsträckning som stadens publika vardagsrum kan och bör göras. För att möjliggöra en ökad användning och uppskattning bör torget omvandlads, och det flexibelt. Arbetet är indelat i tre huvuddelar som leder fram till ett gestaltningsförslag vilket konkretiserar hur Fristadstorget kan göras både flexibelt samt inbjuda till en mer vardaglig användning då den flexibla ytan inte fylls av ytkrävande evenemang. Öppna och omöblerade platser har sällan någon dragningskraft och alstrar inte folkliv och attraktivitet, därav uppstår problematik i planeringen av stortorg för de dagar flexibiliteten inte nyttjas fullt ut. Arbetet är en fallstudie som belyser det generella genom att se till det enskilda fallet för att ge svar på varför det efterfrågade i undersökningen inträffar (brist på attraktivitet och låg användning).

SammanfattninSammanfattning I många städer lägger industrier ner eller flyttar ut från stan. Detta medför att gamla hamnområden blir lediga och kan omvandlas. De blir istället nya attraktiva bostadsområden och populära platser för stadens invånare att röra sig i. Ån Nissan som flyter genom Halmstad delar staden i en västlig och östlig del. Den upplevs idag mer som en barriär än som en tillgång för staden. Kommunen har påbörjat arbetet med att ?vända? staden mot Nissan, men det finns mycket kvar att göra. I arbetet delar jag in Nissan i tre steg där jag först tittar mer övergripande på området runt Nissan från Frennarp i norr till hamnen i söder.

There is no further training in management in teacher education programs, which can create uncertainty among teachers in terms of management. According to the curriculum, the teacher should base it on a democratic approach, but how does it look in real life? The purpose has been to investigate how practicing teachers perceived management and their own leadership style, whether they made conscious choices and if so, whether they then had any purpose in their leadership style. Teachers' views of a good leader and how much influence students have on the teaching, enter into these issues.The survey is based on a qualitative research approach, based on interviews with four active teachers. Although observations were made they did not play any major role in this investigation.

This study aims to find out what relationship high school students have to social networks at the Internet. This has been done by focusing on norms/standards that adolescents can feel under stress to achieve, through stressing themselves by social networks in a way that is consistent with the norms. The empirical data has been gathered by questionnaires which have been answered by adolescents in randomly selected schools and classes in a medium size Swedish town, Karlskrona. The result showed that all of the participating adolescents have user accounts on a social network. Furthermore it also emerged that a lot of the adolescents thought that norms existed that should be followed in a social network about how to stress oneself.

Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka hur fysisk aktivitet i urbana rum förhåller sig till könsstereotypa föreställningar och underliggande strukturer. Uppsatsen ämnar även diskutera om det föreligger risk för att planering av fysisk aktivitet i urbana rum reproducerar könsstereotypa föreställningar och underliggande strukturer. Uppsatsens problemformulering lyder: ?Hur förhåller sig föreställningar om genus till fysisk aktivitet i det urbana rummet??. För att besvara denna utformas uppsatsen som en litteraturstudie där två avhandlingar om fysisk aktivitet i urbana rum studeras genom en innehållsanalys. De avhandlingar som studeras är Bäckströms avhandling Spår.

The aim of this thesis is to identify and analyse the antagonism between conservation and development which occurs in historical towns.The base of the study is theories in destination development and cultural heritage tourism in historical towns as well as the consequences expressed in these theories concerning conservation and development. The standpoint was that an empiric study needed to complement the theory. This filed study took place in Dubrovnik in Croatia. The thesis identifies the antagonism between conservation and development based on the theoretical research. Moreover the study adds a perspective to the research through the identification of further dimensions of this antagonism.

This is the end report of my final exam at Medieteknik. It covers the planning, work process and review of a Flash based web application that I set out to do. The goal was to create a user friendly, interactive e-shop with embedded functionality for playing music, displaying rich media content and researching possible payment solutions, to enable buying music files online. The project involved creating the user interface, the programmatic functionality of a Flash client (an SWF file). Also, setting up an Apache HTTP Server and establishing a working ?bridge? between the Flash client and the web server with Flash Remoting components and AMFPHP.
