The study combined interviews and surveys with the purpose to get both adolescents and sport leaders perspective. A total of five interviews were performed and fifty-four surveys was collected. The results showed that adolescents already physical active were those who participated in alternative sport activities. Variation in tuber quality within a single field was one of the motives for a pilot study in Halland, in south-western Sweden conducted during 2002. Quality problems in potatoes have been increasing due to the aggregation of several small fields with different land use history into larger farm units, which are heterogeneous in soil properties and fertility. The study in Halland indicated that both the uniformity and the mean size of tubers may increase from site-specific K fertilization, whereas total yields may be unaffected. The results from this pilot-study with site-specific fertilization showed that tubers reached a more uniform quality and gave a more uniform mean size, while the total yield wasn't affected at all. Site-specific K-fertilization has been applied for some years in Halland with good results. The aim of this study was to test this technique in another potato growing area.

Syftet med studien var att utvärdera om kranspetsstyrning i skogsmaskiner är ett enklare styrsystem att lära sig från grunden och om arbetsbelastningen värderades lägre, än den konventionella styrningen. Meningen var även att kartlägga skillnader i inlärningsprocessen samt i upplevd arbetsbelastning. Detta krävde konstruktion av mätmetoder för insamling av relevant information. Utvärderingen gjordes i enskogsmaskinsimulator vid manövrering av skotare samt genom enkätundersökningar. Studien genomfördes med hjälp av försöksdeltagare från naturbruksgymnasiet Jällaskolan i Uppsala.

Idag utgör telemedicinska tillämpningar en delmängd av alla de IT-tillämpningar som finns inom hälso- och sjukvården. Införandet av telemedicin bär med sig stora problem och hinder och ett av de mest kritiska problemen som bör försöka undvikas är utebliven användaracceptans. Då tidigare undersökningar inom telemedicin främst har genomförts i industriländer syftar detta arbete till att undersöka vilka faktorer som kan påverka acceptansen vid införande av telemedicin i utvecklingsländer.

Funds are similar to composite stock portfolios, the big difference is that they dealt with in their entirety and investors may not affect the fund's content. The problem remains that whether you choose stocks or mutual funds there is still uncertainty as to how the future will unfold.

Abstract: Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur socialsekreterare som arbetar med ekonomiskt bistånd upplever det individuella handlingsutrymme som ramlagen SoL ger. Studien baseras på fem kvalitativa intervjuer med socialsekreterare som arbetar i västra Skåne. Resultatet visar att informanterna upplever ett stort handlingsutrymme i möjligheten att påverka sitt arbetssätt, sina arbetsuppgifter samt i möjligheten att prioritera sin tid samt även i hur man väljer att bemöta klienten. Möjligheten att ställa krav på klienten och bestämma storleken på dessa krav är en maktfaktor som informanterna visar en medvetenhet om inom sitt handlingsutrymme. Handlingsutrymmet vid individuella bedömningar upplevs som tämligen stort men vikten av att motivera och förankra beslut betonas.

When Norway spruce is planted with large initial spacing and grows on highly productive sites in southern Sweden, a high proportion of the stems gets broad annual rings. The thinning programme carried out at the estate of Trolleholm aims to extract stems with too broad ring width. The 3-4 first thinnings are carried out as thinning from above, where only the thickest trees are removed. The internal distance may not fall below 5-7 meters depending on the number of thinning (short distance in young stands). The aim of this study was to examine the thinning model that is carried out at the estate of Trolleholm. A volume table is calculated to describe the model, and data is collected on temporary plots.

District heating covers around 80 % of the heating demand in apartment buildings and 10 % in single-family homes in Sweden. In the year 2010 the total input of energy to the Swedish district heating grids was about 70 TWh, which corresponds to 11 % of the total energy input to the whole energy system in the country. Through the combined production of heat and power the CHP-plants often reaches an efficiency of 90 % from energy in the fuel to produced heat and power. In order to keep the efficiency high it is important for the owners of the plant to have good knowledge about the plants performance at different operation points. Strängnäs Energi AB initiated this diploma work together with FVB Sverige ab in order to come up with a program for short term planning of the production of heat and power at the company´s CHP-plant.The work consists of three main parts.

Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att beskriva och analysera socialsekreterarens upplevelse av att arbeta med barn i en organisation vars syfte är att stödja medborgare som är i behov av det. Vi har undersökt hur socialsekreterarens yrkesroll påverkas av och samspelar med sin organisation och dess struktur. För att få en fördjupad förståelse av problemområdet har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ metod. Vi har utfört intervjuer med verksamma socialsekreterare. Där har vi funnit att de har utarbetat olika arbetsstrategier för att förhålla sig till sin arbetssituation.

AimThe purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between physical strain and recovery in dancers at The Ballet Academy in Stockholm, Sweden. Research questions used to guide the study were: How great is the dancers experience of physical strain? Do any of the dancers show mental or physical signs of overtraining syndrome?MethodPhysical strain was studied by letting the dancers fill out a booklet catloging their intensity during practice. Utilizing a questionnaire, data was gathered regarding preceding year. To give more nuance to the data gathered, The Profile of Mood States was used to detect possible mood disturbance.

Deicing fluids based on Propylene glycol are used at Stockholm Arlanda airport to remove or prevent ice on aircrafts. The high oxygen demand of propylene glycol can cause oxygen depletion in rivers downstream from the airport if not collected. Mass balance calculations made by Swedavia indicate that the actual amount of gathered propylene glycol is underestimated. Suspicions that propylene glycol is degraded in the stormwatersystem designed to collect deicingfluids, called the B-glycolsystem, have to be investigated in order to establish with certainty that no propylene glycol in other ways leaves the B-glycol system.The purpose of this study was to determine if degradation of propylene glycol is present in the B-glycol system and also to estimate the extent of the degradation. Propylene glycols high biological oxygen demand can cause oxygen depletion in waters downstream from Stockholm Arlanda airport if not collected.
