The purpose of the project was to exam steams ability to sterilize carrots infected withLactobacillus plantarum. The project was a cowork with Brämhults Juice AB. They hadobserved an increase of Lactobacillus in the production of carrot juice during the summer. Tokeep the flavour of fresh fruits, the juice is treated carefully with heat. This means that thejuice only stays fresh for a few days, around two weeks for an unopened package and threedays for an opened package.In an attempt to remove the remaining Lactobacillus of the carrots, steam is tested as an extrastep in the production of juice.

Uppsatsen behandlar budgetens betydelse för engagemanget hos ledning och medarbetare. Engagerade medarbetare är ingen självklarhet i ett företag och det kan finnas en osäkerhet hos ledningen om hur engagemang ska skapas. Ett problem, speciellt i mindre företag, kan vara att undvara resurser, exempelvis tid och pengar, för att skapa den extra glöd som behövs. Budget är ett verktyg som många företag redan använder och kan även användas som ett verktyg att samlas kring för att diskutera i företaget. Syftet med uppsatsen är att -beskriva och jämföra ledningens och medarbetarnas uppfattning om budgetprocessen i ett mindre företag, -tillämpa en modell om meningsskapande på de uppfattningar på budgetprocessen som identifierats i företaget samt -formulera tentativa slutsatser om hur meningsskapande kan användas som instrument för att skapa engagemang i ett mindre företag.

ALA-fatty acids have previously been associated with decreased blood pressure. Flaxseed oil is very rich in these fatty acids and has also been highlighted as an affordable and sustainable source.Objective: To investigate whether ALA-fatty acids from flaxseed oil may affect blood pressure in people with high risk for cardiovascular disease.Search strategy: Two searches in PubMed and Scopus were performed. The sample was specified by using specific keywords.Selection criteria: The criteria for inclusion of studies required that flaxseed oil was compared with a control and that blood pressure was measured as an endpoint.

Together with NCC and Sweco we measured the air-flow on a semi-detached house in Jönköping. When a pressure measurement is made, the house gets exposed to over- and under pressure. This is done in order to examine the houses climate shell. The climate shell of the semi-detached house we tested exceeded the required air thickness in BBR-2002, hence, measures have to be taken.This report also displays the importance of building air thick houses and what consequences a non air-thick house can have for the ones residing the house. A discussion of different measures is on for the addressed problems with the flow-measurement and the alternative construction-solutions.Furthermore we have described in this report of how to account for the performance of the air pressure, what kind of equipment we used and how we came up with the results.

Long time-series of pressure measurements often have high quality because the early instrumentsare more or less the same as the modern ones. A time-series from Lund consisting of three dailymeasurements from 1780-1997 has been homogenised and is therefore suitable for analysingpossible influences of the enhanced greenhouse effect. According to a two-layer model of theatmosphere one finds a shift in the frequency of baroclinic instability due to an increasedtemperature gradient caused by the increasing CO2. Baroclinic instability over the Atlantic Oceanis the main cause for frontal zone production, causing cyclonic activity over the southern part ofScandinavia. Changes to the baroclinic instability would therefore be traceable in the time seriesfrom Lund.

Under de senare åren har forskningen visat upp många delade meningar om hur budget uppfattas och dess betydelse. Budget har fått utstå mycket kritik samtidigt som många studier visar att företagen inte klarar sig utan budget. Uppfattas budget positivt eller negativt hos de som använder den på KappAhl och Lindex? Budgetprocessen är i lärobokslitteratur uppdelad i tre faser, budgetuppställande, budgetuppföljning och budgetanalys.

The running of gas turbines with low emissions causes high pressure pulsations to arise in the combustion chamber. These pulsations are high amplitude sound vibrations. At some frequencies these are harmful to the gas turbine. Hence these pulsations are monitored to avoid operating conditions where pulsations are specifically harmful. It is necessary to expose the system of known pulsations to verify the functionality of the monitoring process.

Den ökade takten av förändringar i organisationens omgivning har lett fram till att beslutsfattare söker efter alternativa styrmedel som är mer anpassningsbara till den specifika verksamheten. I och med det här så är det realistiskt att tänka sig att beslutsfattare kommer att ställas inför val mellan olika styrmedel. Trots detta så har beslutsfattare enligt tidigare forskning en tendens att vara ovilliga till förändringar. Den här studien har undersökt vilken betydelse kognitiv dissonans har för beslutsfattare i samband med val mellan budget och balanserade styrkort som styrmedel, samt om det finns några skillnader mellan hur svårt det är att byta ut budget mot balanserat styrkort och vice versa. Problemformuleringen testades med hjälp av två hypoteser i form av ett experiment som utfördes av en grupp studenter på civilekonomprogrammet, som kan liknas med morgondagens beslutsfattare, där de fick göra ett val mellan budget och balanserat styrkort.

A common problem is that the fan is oversized. An oversized fan causes an excessive flow, which has to be adjusted in order to achieve the correct flow.

Budget är i många företag den framåtblickande delen av ekonomistyrningen. Den utgör ofta den framtida planeringen och förmedlar vägen fram till de uppställda målen. Under senare tid har kritik riktats mot både det traditionella och ?moderna? budgetsynsättet. Vissa kritiker anser att problemen emellertid inte beror på budget i sig utan istället på det sätt som den används på.

Earlier investigations showed that damages on timber from feeding rolls could be within the lower classes of damage according to VMRs classes. Knowledge about differences in productivity between kind types and aggressive types of feeding rolls is necessary because it should influence the question about damages on timber caused by different feeding rolls. In this study the production and timber damage in a harvesting head were evaluated at three levels of pressure (8, 10 and 14 MPa) on the feeding rolls, and with three different types of rolls. One type, the rubber cushioned steel plate roller had 10 mm studs and rubber damping, one ?middle? type made of solid steel with 14 mm studs, and one aggressive type, also made of solid steel with 18 mm studs.

One study, published 2009, found that as many as 59 % of geriatric patients within the Swedish health care system had developed pressure ulcers. Symptoms vary from mild erythema to severe deep tissue damage and development of pressure varies from hours to weeks.
