Examensarbetet syftar till att hitta samband mellan ytliga sprickor hos virke, i form av dimensioner och karaktärer, som dagens maskinella avsyningssystem inte klarar av. Tyngdpunkten i projektet har legat på att identifiera eventuella samband mellan verkligt djup hos sprickor och de ytliga sprickmått som kan uppmätas med automatisk avsyning av WoodEye. I huvudsak har projektets praktiska undersökningar gått ut på att bestämma sprickors ytliga dimensioner, djup, typ och position med hjälp av automatisk avsyningsutrustning (WoodEye) samt genom manuell uppmätning i ett antal itusågade sprickzoner. Det provmaterial som använts i utförda försök och som legat till grund för efterföljande sprickanalyser har varit av sådan karaktär att det kunnat jämställas med konstruktionsvirke som normalt sett hållfasthetssorteras enligt europasstandard SS-EN 14081-1.I projektet har 568 sprickor, fördelade över 8 olika spricktyper, analyserats. Av erhållna resultat har det konstaterats att störst respektive minst medelbredd uppvisades hos kådlåpor respektive kantsprickor, störst respektive minst medellängd uppvisades hos splintsidesprickor respektive kådlåpor, samt att störst medeldjup uppvisades hos fäll-, kap- och stormsprickor.

This paper aims to deepen the understanding of how the European Council frames the climate crisis and its implications for political legitimacy and policymaking. The climate crisis is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, influencing not only environmental systems but also societal structures and governance. By analyzing the European Council?s framings during the 2019?2024 strategic agenda, this research investigates how political actors shape narratives to justify actions and policies in response to the climate crisis. Through a discourse analysis of official Council conclusions, using a framework drawing on six typologies of framing, the research examines the Council's evolving narrative in the context of multiple crises, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine.

The purpose of this thesis is to study whether there is a demand for sawn wood products of large dimensions and planed goods among Wallnäs AB:s customers. The thesis consist of two main parts, one survey among Wallnäs present customers and another one which purpose is to increase Wallnäs customer base. Finally there is a chapter that describes what properties the raw material has to have in order to produce the demanded products. The survey to the present customers was conducted through a questioner. A sample of those who stated an interest for either sawn wood products of large dimensions or planed goods, were later contacted for a telephone interview. To reach out to new customers, relevant companies has been identified through the Swedish Trade Councils data base and through the member list of the Timber Trade Federation.

Den här uppsatsen har undersökt om och i så fall hur sättet att skildra psykisk ohälsa på Dagens Nyheters Insidan och Svenska Dagbladets Idagsida har förändrat sedan sidorna började publiceras. Artiklar från 1982, 1992, 2002 samt 2011 (maj-december) och 2012 (januari-april) undersöktes dels med kvantitativ metod: DN och SvD söktes igenom aktuella år, och artiklar om psykisk ohälsa publicerade på Insidan och Idag kodades. Det som mättes var hur många artiklar om psykisk ohälsa som publicerats, vem som var huvudperson i text och på bild samt vilken typ av psykisk ohälsa texten handlade om. Dessutom valdes åtta texter ut för att analyseras kvalitativt med hjälp av massmedieretorisk modell. Som teoretisk utgångspunkt har framing, gestaltningsteori, använts.

Denna kandidatuppsats har till syfte att undersöka kvällspressens framställning av de fyra ministrarna Anders Borg, Tobias Billström, Maria Borelius och Cecilia Stegö Chilòs politiska övertramp i ministerskandalerna 2006. Alla fyra ministrar stod anklagade för mindre skattefusk och blev utsatta för en drevjakt i medierna. Skandalerna resulterade dock i att männen satt kvar på sina poster medan kvinnorna fick avgå. Denna studie undersöker hur och på vilket sätt kvinnorna respektive männen skildras i kvällspressen under skandalen. För att ta reda på detta har en fördjupad analys gjorts utifrån 16 stycken artiklar i Aftonbladet och Expressen studerats under tidsperioden 6-18 oktober 2006 med hjälp av en kvalitativ textanalys.

Several studies show that we feel better through being out in the forest and historically this was the normal environment for us. As a result of population growth and urbanization we tend to spend less time in nature nowadays than before. Due to this development urban forests have become a central role in our society as a place where people can fulfill their needs and interests. The management of the urban forest is therefore important, especially for municipalities that own forest which is supposed to be of benefit to local residents.Falköpings municipality owns approximately 260 hectares of forest in the popular and most visited recreational area along Mösseberg?s southern slope.

Social network with photo-sharing implement such as Instagram is a quite new type of social media. Instagram has quickly become a part of many peoples everyday life, especially among adolescents.

The purpose of this Bachelor degree project is to design different types of services that can increase the amount of re-used timber within the building sector and by that means improve their environmental efforts. By examining how the sectors environmental work concerning recycling and re-using timber as a building material is getting on at present, conclusions have been drawn about what further could be done for improvement.The project has shown that there is a scarcity of information and statistics within the sector, but that there are efforts in progress to change this. Questionnaires have been sent to a number of companies working with demolition and utilizing re-usable materials in order to find out what kind of problems there are within the trade. Unfortunately the survey gave insufficient result due to the low reply frequency.It is obvious that active environmental work within the building sector is important and the knowledge acquired while working with the project has led to the design of three suggestions for services regarded as being of interest for improving the negative environmental impact caused by the sector:Suggestion 1 ? Sale of construction parts prior to the demolition of a buildingSuggestion 2 ? Re-utilization circulation when manufacturing buildingsSuggestion 3 ? Education in relation to the purchase of houses  The positive and negative qualities of the suggestions have been examined with SWOT-analysis and further adaptions and the results have been interpreted.

Hur högerpopulistiska partier använder material från medierna för att rama in sina politiska budskap är däremot mindre utforskat.Frågeställningarna för undersökningen var hur Sverigedemokraterna agerar som news aggregator på sin Facebook-sida i samband med riksdagsvalet 2014, och hur partiet ramar in det redaktionella material de länkar till. En kvalitativ undersökning med utgångspunkt i teorin om framing gjordes av samtliga officiella inlägg på Sverigedemokraternas Facebook-sida under perioden 140801 ? 141031. Inläggen grupperades utifrån sex teman (mobilisering, Sverigedemokraterna mot etablissemanget, välfärd, ekonomi, invandring och hotet mot Sverige).

Det som anses vara av större vikt är på vilket sätt företag arbetar med miljöledningssystem.Syfte: Vårt syfte är att beskriva hur miljöarbete bedrivs och förklara om det bedrivs på ett sätt som gör att den miljömässiga effektiviteten i våra fallföretag kan förbättras. In the past year, Ozempic has been observed internationally, as well as in the Swedish press, due to its rapid rise in popularity, its off-label use for weight loss, and the ethical and societal debates surrounding availability and impact. The purpose of this study is to examine how Ozempic is portrayed in the four largest Swedish daily newspapers: Svenska Dagbladet, Dagens Nyheter, Expressen and Aftonbladet. The aim of the thesis is to identify the frames within which the drug is described to acquire knowledge of how it influences public perception of it. Every article published between the first of March until the first of November has been included in the study, if it bottoms in the defined phonomenon. The method used is a qualitative text analysis in consideration of Entman?s framing theory, which is focusing on identifying dominant themes, problem definitions, proposed solutions, and the actors attributed responsibility in the coverage of Ozempic in Swedish press.

AimThe aim of the study is to examine how future teachers of Physical Education view the subject, the occupation and their attitudes about the future and create an understanding about this through these research questions:In what way do the teacher students justify the subject Physical Education?How do teacher students view the future of the subject and the occupation?According to the teacher students, what and whom affect the subject? Is there a difference between the teacher students?views and attitudes depending on if they are currently in their second or last year of their education?MethodThis study use qualitative methods in order to create a deeper understanding for the participants? views and attitudes. Eight teacher students of Physical Education were interviewed. The interviews were between 27-57 minutes. They were recorded, transcribed and then analyzed from a socio-cultural perspective as well as Bernstein?s theory of classification.ResultThe participants justify the subject in words such as that it gives the students? knowledge about how to uphold a decent standard of living and an understanding for the correlation between physical activity, nutrition, health and wellbeing.

The aim of this study is to investigate how the five biggest football clubs in Gothenburg are framed in the local newspaper G?teborgs-Posten. Gothenburg has five clubs in the top two tiers of swedish football (IFK G?teborg, Gais, BK H?cken, ?rgryte IS och Utsiktens BK), which makes them unique compared to other swedish cities. Many of the clubs also have a long history, being some of the oldest in the country, making supportership of the clubs a big part of the identity of many citizens in Gothenburg.

Arkitektfirman Kolman X Boye Architects har fått uppdraget att upprätta bygglovshandlingar för ett äldreboende. Det är ännu ej bestämt i detalj hur byggnaden skall uppföras men beställaren önskar att byggnaden uppförs i träbyggnadsteknik. Äldreboendet projekteras för 54 stycken lägenheter fördelat på sex stycken våningsplan och en total bruttoarea på strax under 6000m2. Ingen lika hög träbyggnad med denna verksamhetsklass avseende brand har tidigare uppförts i Sverige.Vår uppgift och utmaning i detta arbete har varit att reda ut problematiken kring projekteringen av exteriöra detaljer för höga hus i trä. Utifrån kända problem avseende brand, akustik och fukt har sedan ett antal detaljer som påverkar det estetiska uttrycket projekterats.
