This essay will examine the historical picture of the island Rapa Nui as it is portrayed in popular science and in ecohistorical literature of the university of Gothenburg. This historical picture states that the inhabitants of the island cut down a lot of trees in the process of transporting the big and heavy statues, moai, from the quarry to the platforms along the coastline of the island. During this process all trees disappeared and resulted in soil erosion. The cultivation was destroyed and brought hunger to Rapa Nui. The following rivalry for food led to a situation of war followed by a cultural collapse.

Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva hur sjuksköterskor upplevde omvårdanden av patienter med psykos inom psykiatrisk öppen- samt slutenvård. Bakgrund: Allmänheten har än idag en negativ och felaktig bild av psykisk sjukdom samt psykiatrisk vård. Att vårda personer med psykos skiljer sig från arbetet med somatiska sjukdomar. Metod: En litteraturstudie genomfördes vilken baserades vetenskapliga artiklar som sökts i databaserna Cinahl och PsykInfo. Resultat: Omvårdnaden av patienter med psykos upplevdes som oförutsägbart vilket krävde ständig beredskap och mycket tålamod.

AimThe aim of this study was to examine the views on bullying in the context of physical education among pupils studying at intermediate level through a gender perspective.The following questions where used in the examination.In what ways does the views on bullying differ between girls and boys?How is bullying manifested during classes in physical education?How do girls and boys experience cross-gender and same-gender bullying?MethodThe study is based upon a survey with questions of both quantitative and qualitative disposition. A total of 210 pupils from areas in and around Stockholm participated in the study, all studying at intermediate level. The participants consisted of 92 girls and 116 boys (two declined). The selection of participating schools where made out of convenience.

The idea for the project emerged when Nilorn wanted to get better control over their supplychain and improve operational efficiency. Thisenables Nilorn to reduce the transportation costs and strengthen the environmentalresponsibilities by reducing their environmental impact.The flow of goods within Nilorn has over the past years increased significantly and most ofthe gods today is transported by air. The aim of this thesis is to analyse the supply chain of thecompany and evaluate the potential economic savings in this area.

1998 beslutade Nässjö kommun att ett minnesmonument skulle uppföras lagom till millenieskiftet. En av de drivande personerna till idén var Jan Holmquist som vid tidpunkten var Kultur- och fritidschef för kommunen. Monumentet skulle göras av "den bäste" varpå Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd fick förfrågan.Skulpturen gestaltar Nässjö stad med hjälp av ett minne, historien om stadens uppbyggnad med järnvägen som en central del. Tåg som rörde sig framåt med hjälp av hårt arbete och kol inspirerade konstnären. Skisserna till verket spelar stor roll för att kunna förstå konstnärens intention med Kolskyffeln.

Syfte: Undersöka sjuksköterskor inom ambulanssjukvårdens erfarenheter och upplevelser av hot och våld i arbetslivet. Metod: Empirisk studie med kvalitativ ansats. Sex semi-strukturerade intervjuer genomfördes. Materialet analyserades med en innehållsanalys. Resultat:  Hot om våld och patienter med ett hotfullt beteende är en del av arbetet i ambulansen enligt informanterna.

As an important concept and as a framework of political action, sustainable development can at this point be considered as the very symbol of a paradigm in the international debate over environmental issues and the threats of climate change. But what does the concept of sustainability actually suggest? This thesis uses discourse analysis in order to examine the Swedish learning for sustainable development as to three different discourses on the national arena: the government and the municipals of Piteå and Växjö respectively. When the study foremost concerns official policy documents that contain associations with the study area, the methodology used takes into consideration both language, signs, metaphors and so called story lines.

The aim of this study was to increase our understanding of how secondary schools handle the different forms of bullying in different arenas. The questions we were asking us was how schools work to prevent and treat against bullying based on plans of action, how the schools are responsible in the bullying issues and how the schools and welfare officers have taken account of sex linkage in bullying issues. Our study is based on the result from seven qualitative semi- structured interviews with secondary school welfare officers in Sweden.  The study results show that traditional form of bullying takes place through verbal assault, physical violence, ostracism and glances. Welfare officers coincide that there are gender differences in the approach of bullying.

Bakgrund: Våld på arbetsplatsen har blivit alltmer vanligt inom vården och det är ett problem många sjuksköterskor någon gång kommer utsättas för. Våld kan både vara fysiskt och verbalt och kan orsaka konsekvenser i form av försämrad  mental hälsa, samt känslor som rädsla eller otrygghet på arbetsplatsen. Dessa konsekvenser kan i sin tur påverka sjuksköterskornas arbetsförmåga och produktivitet. Syfte: Att beskriva psykosociala konsekvenser av fysiskt och verbalt våld från patienter/och eller anhöriga riktat mot sjuksköterskor som jobbar på sjukhus samt vilken påverkan våldet har på sjusköterskors relation till arbetet och förmåga att ge en patientsäker vård. Metod: Litteraturstudie baserat på 14 kvantitativa och kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar.

Occupational Health Service (OHS) has an important role in society. It is designed to prevent illness and strengthen the health of workers. OHS operations and development are currently being studied at the School of Technology and Health at the Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. One of the industries studied is the home maker service. During the 2010s were such employees one of the most ill groups in Sweden.This master's thesis in occupational environment development and change management focus on examining the special knowledge an OHS and its clients in one home maker service need to strengthen the workers of the industry and find out how the interaction between OHS and home maker service works and how it could be evolved.A qualitative study was conducted in a Swedish city on the basis of an organizational perspective.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva ambulanssjuksköterskans upplevelser av hot och våld inom prehospital akutsjukvård, samt se vilka konsekvenser detta ledde till.Metod: 67 enkäter delades ut på ambulansstationer i Uppsala län. Av 67 tillfrågade var det 34 ambulanssjuksköterskor som svarade på enkäten. Insamlingen av data genomfördes med hjälp av enkäter som bestod av sex öppna frågor som sedan analyserades utifrån en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Resultatet som baseras på ambulanssjuksköterskornas svar visade att 97 % av respondenterna hade blivit utsatta för verbala hot och att mer än varannan utsatts för fysiskt våld på något arbetspass. Detta ledde till olika upplevelser hos ambulanssjuksköterskorna. Konsekvenserna upplevdes som större vid verbala hot än fysiskt våld.

Hedersrelaterat våld har inga gränser. Det sker inte endast i ett land, av ett folk med en specifik etnicitet, kultur eller religion. Hedersrelaterat våld existerar världen runt, även i Sverige. Mordet på Fadime Sahindal fick internationell uppmärksamhet och folk var i chock, speciellt den svenska regeringen som länge försökte förneka våldets existens i vårt avlånga jämställda land. Hedersrelaterat våld är en kategori av våld som i de flesta fall drabbar unga kvinnor som vägrar att infinna sig i familjens eller släktens normer och regler.
