The purpose of this scientific essay is to evaluate if a continuous glucose monitoring system is something that can benefit Swedish animal health care. The study investigates if it is medically possible to use continuous glucose monitoring systems on dogs with an apparatus attached to their bodies. Furthermore, I try to establish whether this is possible in practice and how it could be done. The keywords used were diabetes mellitus, insulin, continuous glucose monitoring, blood glucose monitoring, dog, pet owner and animal nursing care. Furthermore, I wanted to find out if this system could be an alternative to currently established methods to measure the patient?s blood glucose level.

Syftet med föreliggande litteraturstudie var att undersöka sjuksköterskors upplevelser i samband med omvårdnaden av den döende patienten och hur sjuksköterskan hanterar sina upplevelser. Litteratursökning gjordes i sex databaser. 12 vetenskapliga artiklar granskades och resultatet visade att sjuksköterskors upplevelser är av både positiv, styrkande art och av negativ, energikrävande art. Resultat uppkom även om sjuksköterskans förhållningssätt till yrkesrollen och hantering av upplevelser.

Introduction: Reversal of a temporary loop-ileostomy is the final step after a long treatment for rectalcancer, an event that the patient has been looking forward to for a long time. Studies have shown that patients often have a significant impact on the bowel function after reversal of the stoma.Aim: To describe how the patient experienced the first time at home after reversal of a temporary loop-ileostomy due to rectalcancer. Method: Qualitative semi-structured interviews, with 15-20 patients who have undergone reversal of a temporary loop-ileostomy due to rectal cancer, will be conducted. The interviewes will be analysed using qualitative content analysis according to Graneheim & Lundman (2004). The patients will be recruited from the colorectal unit at Sahlgrenska University hospital/Östra and from the surgical unit at Kungälvs hospital.

BAKGRUND: Mer än var tionde kvinna drabbas av bröstcancer under sin livstid, vilken är den vanligaste cancertyp som drabbar flest kvinnor. Trots den höga incidensen har antalet friskförklarade ökat de senaste åren. Kvinnor med bröstcancer får en förändrad självbild efter diagnos och behandling, vilket generellt skapar specifika omvårdnadsbehov. Det är viktigt att hantera dessa konsekvenser av bröstcancer, då de är starkt sammankopplade med livskvaliteten. Detta medför ett ökat behov av holistisk omvårdnad med fokus på livskvalitet. SYFTE: Att belysa sjuksköterskans stödjande roll i omvårdnaden av patienter med bröstcancer.METOD: Undersökningen genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt och utgår från artiklar baserade på kvalitativa studier.RESULTAT: Bröstcancerpatienter i olika stadier, från diagnos till efter avslutad behandling, uttrycker att sjuksköterskan varit en viktig resurs genom hela vårdprocessen.

En gruppbestod av fyra sjuksköterskor med specialistutbildning inom psykiatrisk vård. Den andragruppen bestod av två vårdenhetschefer. Intervjuerna spelades in och transkriberades.Materialet analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys.

SammanfattningDen här studien är en litteraturöversikt som analyserar forskningsbaserade texter och lyfter fram syften med drama/teater i gymnasieskolan, utifrån den analyserade litteraturen. Studien redogör både för syften med drama/teater som enskilt ämne och integrerat med andra ämnen.Studien visar att drama/teater är användbart både som ett medel där målet är att lära sig andra ämnen, och där målet är kunskaper i drama/teater. Den ger exempel på att eleverna, med hjälp av drama/teater, kan få stöd i att uppnå flera av målen i gymnasieskolans senaste läroplan från 2011. Exempel på hur drama/teater kan vara till nytta i andra ämnen är att det kan användas för att förbättra elevers läsning och textförståelse oavsett ämne. Drama/teater har också ett egenvärde som bland annat består i att eleverna lär sig att använda sina erfarenheter för att förstå omvärlden, att de lär sig att uttrycka sig på sitt individuella sätt och att de tränar på att våga ta ställning.

Background: Overweight in children is a growing problem around the world. Studies has shown that children suffering from overweight, are at a greater risk to remain overweight as adults as well. Child health care nurses have an important task by trying to motivate parents to better diet and exercise habits for their children. Previous research proves that overweight and obesity in children is a very complex problem which requires a good caring relationship between child health care nurses and parents.Purpose: The purpose of the study was to illuminate the experiences of child health care nurses of meeting parents of overweight children.Method: An inductive qualitative approach was used as method. The collection of data was conducted by using semi-structured interviews.

Every year 300 children in Sweden are diagnosed with cancer, but through research and successful clinical work 70 % of the children survive their cancer. Aim: To illuminate nursing care of children with cancer. Method: The study was carried out as a general literature study through systematic review and analyse of 18 scientific articles. The purpose of this study was to find knowledge about ostomy patients experience with a focus on overall life situation and the care they receive from the nurse. The method used was a systematic literature review according to Polit, Beck & Hungler. Six scientific research reports have been used as foundation of the result in this study. The articles have been reviewed according to Antonovsky's Sense of Coherence (SOC).The result shows that experiences of having ostomy are individual. Adapting to their new life situation varies depending on the reason for having an ostomy.
