This thesis discuss the matter of non-profit-making associations as a self regulatory technique out of a theoretical concept of power. The object for the study is the non-profit-making association Ditt Nya Hageby, which work in the neigborhood of Hageby, a suburb to Norrköping. In the study the association is placed in a contemporary postmodern social context and analyzed through semi- structured qualitative interviews, accordingly to hermeneutical method, with five active members of the association as informants. The association consists of members who lives in the neighborhood. Together with a hired organizer they realizes their own ideas in to projects which unquestionably improves the social and physical enviroment in Hageby.

Bakgrund: Amning är av stor betydelse för det nyfödda barnet och mamma, både ur närings- och trygghetsaspekter. Tidigare studier om sambandet mellan förlossningssätt och amning visar motstridiga resultat; vissa studier indikerar att sectio påverkar amningen negativt medan andra studier inte visar på något samband.Syftet: Att undersöka huruvida det finns demografiska och hälsorelaterade skillnader hos mammor gällande förlossningssätt samt om förlossningssätt påverkar amningsdurationen upp till två månaders ålder.Metod: Studien har en populationsbaserad kohortdesign och omfattar n= 35250 mamma-barn par i Örebro- och Uppsala län, där barnet fötts åren 1993-2001. Statistiska analyser har genomförts med Chi-square test, binär logistisk regressionsanalys och multivariat logistik regressionsanalys.Resultat: Visade att mammor som förlösts med sectio ammade i lägre utsträckning vid två månaders ålder i jämförelse med mammor som förlösts vaginalt. Många riskfaktorer identifierades för en ökad risk att förlösas med sectio: län, hälsofaktorer hos mamma och barn, paritet, mammans ålder, rökning samt socioekonomiska faktorer. Resultatet kan hjälpa barnmorskan i hennes profession, genom att kunskap erhålls om dessa samband.

GBD-Storage Systems is a company that provides the industries with products for efficient storage.The company produces pallet racks and accessories like cassettes and extending units. The companyhas also supplied tire racks for a number of tire companies. The company's CEO Gunnar Berglund hasfor some time had an idea to improve the working situation of the workers on tire firms by allowingthe wheels to be handled by a counterbalance truck. The current situation poses numerous heavy liftswhen the tires are handled and therefore is hurting the workers.This thesis has been aiming at helping the GBD-Storage Systems by developing a concept of howan accessory to counterbalanced trucks can be designed to cope with the wheels. This concept willthen be produced as prototype by the company.

The cultural policy area has a tendency to be seen as a consensus area, where there are no big conflicts between the parties. The aim of this master?s thesis is to study the moderate party?s cultural motion 2005/06Kr:233 with the party leader Fredrik Reinfeldt as first author. If consensus rules, the party?s ideology should not be visible in the motion, but the assumption in the thesis is that it is visible.

Ett flertal av de människor som identifierar sig som transpersoner eller könsöverskridare har beskrivit ett upplevt obehag och rädsla i mötet med vården. De kan ha blivit utsatta för kränkningar, diskriminering eller dåligt bemötande etc. För att förbättra vårdmötet är det därför viktigt att sjuksköterskor redan i utbildningen har fått information om könsöverskridande identiteter och vad det kan innebära. Syftet med studien var att ta reda på om sjuksköterskestudenterna (termin 3-5) anser att Malmö högskola belyser och ger information om könsöverskridande identiteter, samt om studenterna vill ha detta inkluderat i utbildningen. Studien avsåg även få svar på om studenterna anser att ett ökat medvetande kring olika könsidentiteter är viktigt för deras framtida yrkesroll.

Water constructions - as a design element in public spaces is the title of this Master thesis, with a focus on waters function and meaning in the urban environment. By way of introduction, mans relationship to places is described and the factors that contribute to the reality that we prefer some places more than others. A good place to stay is open but well defined, gives protection, offers a good view and is varying in topography and vegetation, together with contents of single landscape elements like visible water. This study then continues to discuss mans relationship to water and its means for our wellbeing. Despite the fact that people have a different relations to water due to personality, background and age, it?s an element that raises positive feelings, interest and aesthetic pleasure for most people.

Genom att studera ledares motivation och tillfredsställelse i relation till motivationsteorin Self-Determination Theory (SDT) söktes stöd för undersökningens syfte och frågeställningar: hur respektive kön i ledarpositioner motiveras på arbetsplatsen i förhållande SDT ? om de är självbestämmande eller kontrollerade samt om det finns en relation mellan motivation och tillfredsställelse. Frågeformulär besvarades av 48 män och 93 kvinnor i olika ledarpositioner. Data analyserades i form av t-tester, ett Chi-Square-test, kategoriseringar samt ett beräknande av Work Extrinsic and Intrinsic Motivation Scale. Resultatet visade att den inre liksom den mest självbestämmande och minst kontrollerade motivationstypen motiverade mest utifrån självbestämmande profiler samt att det finns en relation mellan upplevelsen av motivation och tillfredsställelse.

The main purpose of this analytic study which has a theoretical focus, Is to find out if the two Swedish parties Socialdemokraterna (s) - The Social Democrats - and Folkpartiet (p) - The Liberal Party - has taken position ideologically or strategically to the new sex-degree grading scale. The theory section describes the concepts of ideology and strategy. Despite the talk of the death of the ideologies, this don't need to be the case, they only adjust över time. The second key-point of this essay is strategy, a model based on Frostbergs reasoning illustrates this. A number of problem areas are presented.

I dagens samhälle byggs förskolor med moderna innemiljöer som är inspirerade av Reggio Emilias filosofi. Ett inslag i dessa är torget som ska vara ett hjärta i verksamheten som fungerar som gemenskapens kärna, en plats för möten och kommunikation. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur torget används för att barnen ska utvecklas språkligt. Fokus ligger på hur förskollärare ger barnen möjlighet att kommunicera och samspela för att utvecklas språkligt i denna miljö. Genom intervjuer fick förskollärare uttrycka sina tankar kring syftet med torget och hur de använder torget för att hjälpa barnen att utvecklas språkligt.

For over 40 years, there's been a debate in Sweden of whether it's good or bad with maintenance therapy for heroin addicts. This method is far more acknowledged in other parts of Europe and in USA. The aim of this paper was to explore how public actors manifest their thoughts concerning the subject of the substitution program in Sweden. This approach includes the complex of problems that can be found in statements and the discourses that these operators stand for and support. In my analysis the philosophical thread was principally based on Michael Foucault ideas, but also on other theories related to social constructionism.

International media groups and the freedom of speech are two issues that have been questioned during the last years when large media groups control a large amount of public-oriented information. The masters thesis at hand considers three debates that illuminate Bonniers and AB Mariebergs hereinafter referred to as the Bonnier Media Group positions on the media market. The objective of such a study is to establish in the face of the theory on hegemonia, for example from which factors the media actors deduce their argumentation when discussing the above-mentioned topic and the meaning of such a discussion in our time. The thesis also discusses whether freedom of speech and free opinion are affected by the increasing power of the Bonnier Media Group and if they, as a result, have diminished their own cultural and liberal assets, features that are firmly associated with the company. I conclude that various features have come to change the media market during the last years.

Media society is developing rapidly; the media?s more central role in our society means that their interpretations and portrayals of the world will have a greater impact on how we look at ourselves and our society.When Swedish Princess Estelle was born in February 2012 she was the first Swedish heir to be been born in what is known as ?the computer age?. This paper aims to examine the reporting of the birth of Princess Estelle and how it was conducted by Swedish news sites, from an ideological perspective. The study is based on qualitative method with ideational analysis and Norman Fairclough?s critical discourse analysis.In conclusion, the news sites portray a positive image of Princess Estelle?s birth and the Swedish monarchy and strengthen the status of the Crown Princess family.

Per Wahlöö is one of Sweden´s most famous crime writers. Together with Maj Sjöwall he revolutionized the swedish crime novel in the mid-sixties with the Martin Beck-series. Before that he was working as a reporter in the fifties and started writing novels about the oppression of man, power and totalitarian mentality in the end of the decade. Those novels (1959-1968) are called ?The dictatorship?-series.

Abstract. Aim: The aim of this study is to determine certain health, demographic and socioeconomic factors that affect the costs for specialized health care between the municipalities within the Västra Götaland region. Method: The method is explorative and analytical. The costs for specialized health care was divided into three different subgroups; independent somatic specialized health care, specialized health care provided by private practices or outside the region and psychiatric specialized health care. The data was age-standardized.
