This thesis focus on something different, it compares how the two ?winners? were portrayed in news photos.A semiotic approach was used to analyse news images in the newspapers Aftonbladet, Expressen, SvenskaDagbladet and Dagens Nyheter. It was important to not only look at the pictures, but also the outer context, i.e the headlines, had to be analysed to come to any conclusions.Fredrik Reinfeldt was portrayed more positive and more as a winner than Stefan Löfven was.

The purpose of this essay is to examine different conceptions of God children express in speech and image. The essay also concern how children's images of God are shaped in a secular and pluralistic society, such as Sweden. The children included in the investigation are in first and third grade in middle-sized Swedish town's primary school. In the essay, two methods are used, which is picture analysis and qualitative interviews. The material consists of 47 children's drawings and a smaller selection of interviews with the child's drawing as a starting point.

BakgrundDetta examensarbete undersöker arabisktalande elevers svårigheter att förstå matematiska uppgifter med svenska texter respektive arabiska texter. Arbetet tar upp språkets betydelse i matematikens utveckling. Enligt litteraturen behöver elever med ett annat modersmål än svenska behärska sitt modersmål för att kunna utveckla sitt andraspråk och för att klara sig i matematik.SyfteSyftet med mitt arbete är att ta reda på svårigheter för högstadiet elever i år 8 med arabiska som modersmål att förstå matematiska uppgifter med svenska texter respektive arabiska texter.MetodArabisktalande elever i år 8 valdes för att uppfylla syftet med detta examensarbete.Deltagande observationer gjordes för att få förståelse för deras förmåga att lösamatematikuppgifter med svenska och arabiska texter. Därefter genomfördes kvalitativaintervjuer med nämnda elever för att samla information om språkets påverkan på derasförståelse för matematik.ResultatResultaten visar att elever med arabiska som modersmål behärskar sitt andra språk. Deföredrar svenska språket när de läser matematik.

The theme of this essay is the principle of free access to the Swedish Public Libraries, and its aim is to fmd out the opinion of adult visitors of such libraries as regards the introduction of fees on the borrowing of books, already existing fees such as reservation fees, charges for interlibrary loans and charges for the late return of books.The main part of our survey comprises questionnaires that were handed out to 100 visitors at the Norrkoping City Library and 100 visitors at the Eskilstuna City and Provincial Library. In order to illustrate the fee problem from another angle, interviews with staff people from the two libraries were carried out A large part of the essay consists of material aiming to give a general picture of the subject, e.g. how the "free of charge principle" is tied to the Swedish library system, what arguments have been presented to maintain or reverse this principle, and a comparison of the relative situation in other countries. As the conception of popular education is so basic for the "free of charge principle", we also account for the idea of popular education.The result of our questionnaire shows, among other things, that 60,9% cannot consider paying for any of the free services offer by the libraries today, 21,3% answered that they could possibly consider paying for some of the services and 17,8% answered that they didn't know. 76% would rather pay for a library card than stop borrowing books altogether..

The discharge from Lake Mälaren is regulated to keep the lake water level within limits set by a water decree. Despite this, in the year 2000 the lake water level rose above the upper limit. Studies conducted at the climate modeling unit Rossby Centre at the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute (SMHI) indicate that the inflow to the lake may increase in the future. A flood in the area will, among other things, strike infrastructure and residential districts.The aim of this study was to investigate the water levels of Lake Mälaren in future climates. In addition to this possible future expansion of the lake discharge though the sluice gates in order to keep water levels below limits set by the water decree and to prevent flooding of the shoreline were discussed.

AbstractThis report describes our ten week long thesis work which is the last task in our education in mechanical engineering at Linköpings University. The project has been performed at Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery AB?s service department. The company which is located in Finspång produces, sells and provides service for steam and gas turbines around the world.The purpose of this project is to help Siemens develop their maintenance programs for two of the auxiliary systems which are a part of the complete steam turbine system. These are lube and control oil systems.The project is restricted to two of Siemens maintenance products, No Stop Check (NSC) and the annual Safety Inspection (SI).

Denna uppsats syfte är att undersöka hur elever bygger innehåll i sina texter utifrån faktorerna genre och programtillhörighet. Materialet för undersökningen är 38 elevtexter skrivna under nationella provet i svenska. 19 texter är skrivna av elever på studieförberedande program och 19 är skrivna av elever på yrkesförberedande program. Dessa texter har en jämn fördelning av genrerna argumenterande texter och recensioner. Undersökningen utgår ifrån byggandet av texters innehåll utifrån makro- och mikroteman.

IKEA har under hösten 2006 utfört en egen undersökning av deras webbplats, www.ikea.se. En del av syftet blir således att resultatet skulle kunna fungera som ett bra komplement till den undersökningen. Vårt sätt att genomföra detta grundar sig på en kvalitativ studie genom observationer och efterföljande intervjuer med ett antal testpersoner. Enligt teorier hämtade från området för användbarhet och webbdesign påverkar områdena struktur, navigering, länkar, design/layout, information, text, bild och färger möjligheten till en god webbplats, dessa begrepp fungerar även som en utgångspunkt för vår datainsamling. IKEAs vision är att ?skapa en bättre vardag för de många människorna?, därför tycker vi att det är av största vikt att även deras webbplats är funktionell och användbar för den svenska populationen.

Pre school teachers' conception ofchildren in need of special support.Syftet med studien är att undersöka förskollärares föreställningar kring begreppet Barn ibehov av särskilt stöd i förskolan. Vidare är syftet att undersöka vilka stödinsatser somerbjuds i verksamheten. Studien utgår från följande frågeställningar: Vilka barndefinierar förskollärarna som barn i behov av särskilt stöd? Vilka stödinsatser erbjuderverksamheten barn i behov av särskilt stöd? Hur kan stödinsatserna som erbjuds kopplastill perspektiv på specialpedagogik?Studien genomförs i form av semistrukturerade personliga intervjuer.

Den här undersökningen syftar till att ta reda på om det fanns skillnader i svenska,rikstäckande tidningars val av källor under krigsrapporteringen från Georgienkrisens tioinledande dagar.För att få svar på frågorna analyserades artiklar från Sveriges fyra största tidningar,Aftonbladet, Expressen, Dagens Nyheter och Svenska Dagbladet.Resultaten visade att det finns både likheter och skillnader mellan hur tidningarnarapporterade, sett utifrån vilka källor de prioriterar och låter komma till tals. Officiella ochcivila källor används till exempel i ungefär samma utsträckning av tidningarna.Uppdelat i nationaliteter är källorna inte lika jämnt fördelade, då georgiska källor dominerar över de övriga parterna i konflikten.Morgontidningarna är mer balanserade i sin rapportering i den mening att de använder fler källor än kvällstidningarna i så gott som varje kategori.Ett annat mönster är att kvällstidningarna fokuserat mer på att använda civila georgiska källor i såväl text som bild än morgontidningarna.Ingen av tidningarna, vare sig i text eller bild, använde civila abchazer som källa, trots att konflikten även pågick i det området..

The main purpose of this study is to explore and develop how the Christian conception of love as agape can be understood in light of feminist concerns, and how it can be cultivated in light of psychological research. Traditionally, agape has been defined as unconditional self-sacrifice for the sake of the other. Feminist theologians have highlighted repeatedly that an ethical principle of self-sacrifice might not be liberating for groups who have already internalized pressure to sacrifice their own needs for others. The main research questions are: 1) How may agape be understood in light of feminist concerns about its traditional interpretations? 2) How could a Christian community cultivate a form of agape that is responsive to feminist concerns? In order to answer these questions, the first part of the dissertation examines feminist concerns regarding discussion of agape, and then uses these concerns as a lens for analysing four themes in contemporary accounts of agape: community, care, humility, and mentalization.

Due Diligence is today an important part of the transaction process through sales of properties and isan important process for both sellers and buyers. The process intends to review an asset before atransaction to minimize the risks associated with the acquisition by detecting weaknesses and verifythe asset's characteristics. The use of Due Diligence has become increasingly common over the pasttwenty years in the Swedish real estate market and there is no indication that this trend will decreasebut rather increase. Although there is widespread use of the process both in acquisitions ofcorporations and properties, both in Sweden and in the rest of the world, it is costly for thepurchasers and the concept is far from fully developed.This thesis aims to clarify what the real estate market thinks about the potential development of theprocess itself and the role of the actors. The main question is what opportunities exist to develop theconcept of Due Diligence in real estate transactions.
