Ett stort antal personer insjuknar varje år i kranskärlssjukdom, vilket inkluderar angina pectoris. Sjuksköterskan behöver ha goda kunskaper om hur patienter med angina pectoris erfar olika symptom relaterat till sjukdomsbilden, samt hur patienter anterar och lever med sin sjukdom. Detta för att kunna ge bästa stöd och arbeta på ett personcentrerat sätt. Syftet var att beskriva patienters erfarenheter av att leva med angina pectoris. Metoden som användes var litteraturstudie vilken grundades på tolv vetenskapliga artiklar vilka analyserades och sammanställdes.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka ett antal familjehemsföräldrars erfarenheter av att befinna sig i en juridisk process, där det placerade barnets biologiska förälder gjort en hemtagningsbegäran och yrkat på att vården enligt LVU skall upphöra. Mer specifikt avser studien att beskriva hur familjehemsföräldrarna upplever den juridiska processen avseende de placerade barnens känslomässiga, beteendemässiga och sociala utveckling, sin egen relation med barnen, kontakten med barnens biologiska föräldrar samt kontakten med barnets omgivande professionella nätverk. Studien bygger på kvalitativa halvstrukturerade intervjuer med åtta familjehemsföräldrar i fyra olika familjehem. Familjehemmen är geografiskt åtskilda och belägna på olika platser i Sverige. Som teoretiska ramverk har ett anknytningsteoretiskt perspektiv och teorier om barn och trauma använts.

Personer med IBS lider av en sjukdom som inte syns utåt vilket kan skapa påfrestningar i det dagliga livet och i mötet med vården. Därför är det väsentligt att sjuksköterskan har empati, kunskap och engagemang i mötet med dessa personer. Syftet med studien var att belysa det stöd som efterfrågas av personer med IBS i mötet med sjukvården och hur sjuksköterskan förhåller sig i mötet. Metoden som användes till studien var litteraturstudie. Resultatet visar att personer med IBS är i behov av stöd genom information, bekräftelse och ett professionellt förhållningssätt av vårdarna i mötet.

Posttraumatiskt stressyndrom (PTSD) kännetecknas av tre huvudsymptom: undvikande, förnekande och hyperspändhet. Även koncentrationssvårigheter, ångest, depression, flashbacks och mardrömmar är vanligt förekommande hos individer med PTSD. Flyktingar i Sverige som har varit med om krig kan uppvisa dessa symptom. Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka terapeuters upplevelser av arbete med patienter med krigsrelaterat PTSD. Intervjuer med åtta terapeuter utfördes.

Background: Fibromyalgia is a psychosomatic disease that emerges without any known cause. For a long time, it has been believed to be a part of the menopause. Between 0,7 and 4,8 % of the women in Scandinavia are diagnosed. The most obvious symptom is pain. Aim: The aim with the literature review was to describe how women with fibromyalgia experience their lifesituation.

A mapping process is ongoing in Sweden concerning a phenomenon known as ?honour related violence?. The explanations of ?honour related violence? often focus on culture and ethnicity, thus establishing differences between the majority society and offenders and victims. Given that some scholars critique mapping for focusing on predetermined objects, my aim is to study discursive conditions for abused girls, who are constructed as being from within ethnic minorities, in relation to their contact with the Swedish welfare system.

Det är större risk att personer vars föräldrar är skilda själva skiljer sig jämfört med personer vars föräldrar är gifta. Problemet förklaras utifrån sociala teorier, att beteendet som karaktäriserar föräldrarnas relation går i arv till barnen så att även de i sin tur reagerar som sina föräldrar och hanterar problem i kärleksrelationer på ett sämre sätt. Med EVLN-modellen (?exit?, ?voice?, ?loyalty?, och ?neglect?) förklarade Rusbult, Zembrodt, och Gunn (1982) att människor reagerar på olika sätt när problem uppstår i kärleksrelationer beroende på hur omständigheterna kring relationen ser ut. Denna studie undersökte ifall reaktionerna ser olika ut beroende på om människor har separerade eller gifta/sambo föräldrar.

This paper describes the work done trying to diminish the noise present in the signal from an IR-detector. The project was aiming towards two different kinds of applications; heat protection and presence detection. The hypothesis was that the signal-noise ratio would decrease if a filter and a proper installation were used for the detector. Some experiments were executed to determine what kind of filter were the most suitable for each application and how these could be installed. After executing the experiments and evaluate the results we recommend to use a specific filter for each application.

Överkänslighet mot kemiska ämnen i vår omgivning skapar hälsoproblem som ?sick building syndrome? samt ?multiple chemical sensitivity?. Båda tros kunna starta efter långvarig lågdos-exponering av kemikalier som till slut resulterar i en överkänslighet. Symptombilden är blandad och diagnostiseringen svår. Bland annat stress verkar vara en påverkande faktor liksom det kemestetiska hudsinnet.

Many consulting firms offer tailor-made solutions within complexity management, but these are not general frameworks built upon theories. Carlsberg are dealing with a large complexity within their one-way glass bottles, as they are growing by acquisitions, and are not attained enough economies of scale. This thesis balances the packaging complexity, with platform theory as a foundation. Twelve platforms were developed at Carlsberg, containing 21 bottles, and the calculated savings potential for applying these are EUR 28,9 million..

The aim of this Master's thesis is to examine how blogs are used by public libraries for marketing purposes, and how librarians who blog perceive their blog as a marketing tool. The thesis is based on a qualitative study conducted using asynchronous e-mail interviews with librarians representing eleven different library blogs. The theoretical framework and concepts are taken from marketing theory, including Kotler's marketing mix, relationship marketing, and theories on the marketing of non-profit organisations, knowledge organizations, the Internet, and blogs. Our results and analysis reveal that libraries use blogs because they are an easy tool to use, they represent a new way to inform users about the library, they are a way to improve contact with the users and a way to reach potential users. According to the librarians we interviewed, blogs can be used to market libraries in a number of different ways: by disseminating information on the library and its various media and events, by providing a forum to demonstrate the skills of the librarians, and as a way of changing the image of the library.

With growing economies and better living standards in many parts of the world today, there is a need of expanding the capacity of generating electricity. The alternatives for renewable energy technologies are not fully developed and have still some problems to conquer.The company Minesto has developed a technology that is called Deep Green. It is designed to gain electricity from tidal currents. Deep Green works in a similar way as a kite that is attached to the seafloor with a moving wire. It contains of a wing that moves due to the water current.

My objective for this project was to create a short but thrilling 2D-animation intended as promotion for an online comic book. The purpose of the project was to learn more about animation and graphics, to further my artistic skills and to learn how to work in Adobe After Effects. I also wanted to learn more about scheduling, project methods and how to handle stress. During the ten weeks of the project I have created the story, the storyboard, the character design, the backgrounds and the animation. The voice over was recorded with the help of a fellow student who also made the music and the sound effects.

?Studies have shown that patients receiving mechanical ventilation in an intensive care unit (ICU), who are entirely dependent on the nursing staff, often experience frustration due to a temporary loss of the voice source. Limited communication is an important factor contributing to patient discomfort. Nursing staff also report communication as frustrating and difficult.The aim of the present study is to introduce a neck-type electrolarynx as a communication aid in an ICU, to study the nursing staff experiences of communication with tracheotomized patients receiving mechanical ventilation, and to examine the patient´s experiences regarding communicative abilities. Communication between a ventilator treated, tracheotomized patient and members of the nursing staff was recorded and analyzed according to principles of Conversation Analysis (CA).The results show that several members of the nursing staff experience difficulties communicating with tracheotomized patients receiving mechanical ventilation.

Levnadsvillkoren för individer med utvecklingsstörning har under de senaste decennierna förändrats till det bättre. Att känna sig delaktig i sitt liv och ha möjligheten att själv påverka livssituationen är viktigt för dessa människor. Uppsatsförfattaren ville med den här studien undersöka om skillnad finns i hur aspekter av delaktighet uppfattas av två grupper; individer med utvecklingsstörning och personer i deras omgivning. En enkätstudie genomfördes med en omarbetad version av ?The Arc?s Self-Determination Scale? (Wehmeyer, 1995).En rangkorrelation visade på samband mellan vissa frågeområden.
