Konstruktionsgruppen inom Scania som detta examensarbete utfördes vid är benämnd NMKA och är en del av avdelningen NM ? Engine development som bedriver forskning & utveckling av Scania motorer.Denna avhandling inom produktutveckling tjänar syftet som slutgiltigt examinationsmoment för civilingenjörsprogrammet Innovation och produktdesign på Mälardalens högskola. Arbetet har utgått ifrån en metod för produktutveckling som lärs ut i samband med utbildningen.Uppdraget har baserats på frågeställningen att utveckla ett robust klamningskoncept för kablage på motor, som uppfyller de ergonomiska och konstruktionsmässiga krav som Scania ställer på sina artiklar.

Practitioners of financial statement analysis are dependent on key ratios in a multiple number of situations, one in particular being equity valuation. A lack of historical benchmarks, and knowledge regarding the time series behaviour of such ratios, has been identified regarding Swedish companies. Therefore, this study sets out to provide such data and knowledge. Companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange are examined over the period 1979-2009 where the sample is divided into nine industry groups. Historical values for eight common key ratios are documented with regards to median, mean, standard deviation and percentiles.

Two post milkning teat dips (PMTD´s) were compared in an automatic milking system at Kungsängen Research Farm, owned by SLU (Swedish University of Agriculture) in Uppsala. In the experiment an evaluation system was used where teat condition regarding skin and teat ends was graded according to a scale where 1 was the best score and 5 the worst. The evaluation period was almost six months in total devided into four minor experimental periods. The technician scoring the teats did not know which PMTD that was currently used. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference between the two PMTD´s regarding teat skin condition, but not regarding teat ends.

Bakgrund: Investeringar har olika syfte för verksamheter och det är vikigt att investera för överlevnad på marknaden samt att skapa konkurrensfördelar. Företag investerar till stor del för att följa sin strategi och uppnå sina mål. På grund av begränsade resurser pågår hela tiden en avvägning mellan vilka investeringar som ska genomföras och för att kunna genomföra dessa krävs det att vissa rutiner efterföljs, dessutom är även planering av investeringar av stor vikt för att investeringsprocessen ska vara effektiv och väl fungerande. De olika stegen i investeringsprocessen ska vara sammankopplade och då även de personer som är involverade i investeringsarbetet.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva Scania Oskarshamns investeringsprocess och utifrån detta undersöka hur den är kopplad till verksamhetens strategi samt ta reda på om de olika delarna i investeringsprocessen är integrerade med varandra.Avgränsningar: Vi har begränsat oss till att enbart använda Scania Oskarshamn som underlag till vår undersökning då den annars skulle bli allt för omfattande och därmed följer det att vi inte fokuserar på Scania som koncern.Metod: Vi har valt en kvalitativ metod i form av en enfallsstudie. I denna studie har vi haft ett beskrivande och ett utforskande forskningsintresse, detta på grund av att vi dels har beskrivit investeringsprocessen på Scania Oskarshamn, dels utrett hur den är kopplad till strategi samt hur stegen är kopplade till varandra.

The aim of this paper is to investigate what part film music plays in the creation of stereo-types in the production of Swedish cinema, in the 1990s and early 2000s. This period of Swedish cinema was largely defined through the visualization of life in the smaller provinces of the country. The results were reached through the analyzing of four important works of this era, representing different provinces and genres. The examined movies have shown frequent use of extreme characters and a somewhat hostile environment in search of an interesting story. The music is used in ways of describing class differences amongst the inhabitants and to set the gen-eral mood of the concerned provinces: an agent often working in the unconscious of the viewer in order to affect the final results..

The values politicians relate with public administration are likely to affect the way that they want the public administration to be organised. The purpose of this study is therefore to examine which values Swedish parliamentary parties relate with public administration and more particularly how they emphasise these values.The study is conducted as an analysis of theoretically relevant bills that the government party and the parliamentary parties have introduced to the Riksdag, and reports and statements of opinion from the parliamentary committees. The documents are from the Riksdag´s sessions from 2000/01 to 2005/06. After examining the documents the conclusion can be drawn that the value that is most emphasised during the period is legal security. This might mean that legal security will have more influence on the decisions taken about the organisation of Swedish public administration..

The aim of this issue is to study how Swedish public libraries deal with the principles of freedom of speech and freedom of information in connection with public use of the Internet. The authors intention has been to find out whether the public use of the Internet has caused ethical problems for library workers and how the libraries solve situations when they consider their principles violated by library users. The authors study the debate on the issue in a couple of Swedish library magazines published during the late 1990s and they also give a few examples from the USA during the same period. They study the ethical principles and directives for schools published by the Swedish Board of Education as they claim that many of the public library users are students who bring along their ethical conceptions and thereby affect the ethical climate of the libraries. In their study the authors refer to ethical rules given to librarians by their trade union DIK and to the conclusions drawn from the hearing Good Ethics on the Net held by the Swedish IT Commission in 1998.

Lödfogar på kretskort utsätts för spänningar i samband med temperaturväxlingar. Dessa spänningar leder så småningom till utmattningsbrott. Omställning till blyfri lödning  pga EUdirektivet ELV (End of Life Vehicles) som inom kort kan börja förbjuda användning av blyhaltiga lödfogar även i tunga fordon, medför en ökad risk för utmattningsbrott, eftersom blyfria lödfogar påstås vara sprödare än tenn/bly lod. Scania har begränsad kunskap om eller erfarenhet av blyfria lödfogar och har av den anledningen startat detta projekt.I det här projektet vill man ta reda på ifall påståendet ovan, om att blyfritt lod är sprödare än blyat lod, stämmer och för att kunna göra en sådan jämförelse mellan loden måste dessa analyseras från ett materialtekniskt perspektiv. Scania har fram till nu fastställt sina provresultat via ett elektriskt funktionstest.

Modelling of pollutants is commonly used in research and at departments working with environmental issues. The need to use large amounts of data when modelling creates the opportunity for more generalised models with lower data demands. Aggregating functions into coarser elements is a sort of generalisation of actual features in nature.A development of a method and a modelling tool called ?KadmiumKalkylatorn? has been performed to model cadmium pollution in rivers in Skåne, Sweden. The water runoff has been multiplied with cadmium standard concentrations based on membership in landuse classes.

Every year the Swedish government invests capital in different projects. In recent years the Swedish government has chosen to invest in design. The reason for this is that the government wants industry to use design as a competitive source. Two organizations, Svensk Form and Stiftelsen Svensk Indistridesign, have been assigned to improve industry and society?s under¬standing of design.

Through discourse analysis of twelve Library and Information Science theses, covering the period between 1975 and 2007, this thesis examines representations of homosexuality and homosexual identities. By using queer theory as a point of reference aspects such as essence/construct, equality/difference, notions of gender and views on the historical and contemporary situation of homosexuals are brought to the fore in the analysis. It is shown how the material unequivocally posits the contemporary situation of homosexuals favourably in comparison to a past signified by prejudices and oppression. This can be seen as an implicit essentialism in the texts, though ambivalences open up the possibility that it in some cases may be only strategically used while explicitly adhering to constructionist views. In linking concepts of a homosexual difference to prejudices, frequently involving notions of inverted gender performances or sexual ?extremes?, the discourse of progression posits normalcy and assimilation as positive values.

Scania är ett tillverkningsföretag inom nyttofordonsbranschen och det senaste året har vindarna blåst kring Scania. Diskussionerna har rört sig runt huruvida de ska bli uppköpta eller inte av den tyska konkurrenten MAN som verkar inom samma bransch eller om Scania ska köpa upp MAN istället. MAN är tillsammans med Volkswagen och Investor Scanias huvudägare. Just nu verkar det vara Investor med familjen Wallenberg bakom sig är dem som bromsar affären. Scania har varit utsatt för uppköpsförsök tidigare, två gånger har Volvo varit den andra parten och nu är det som sagt MAN.

In this paper I study how the minority group Roma appears in the Swedish media. I also look at possible similarities and differences in appearance before and after the disclosure of the Roma registration by the Swedish police in September 2013. To answer my purpose with the paper I treat the following questions:How is the minority group Roma constructed in the media before and after the disclosure?In which ways are the minority group Roma expressed in the media before and after the disclosure?I am using a discourse analytic method based on theories of construction between ?them? and ?we? and the media?s impact on social constructions and identities. By analysing twenty-eight articles from a period of one month before and one month after the disclosure the result shows that there are more similarities than differences between how the Roma are described in the Swedish media.
