We are currently more aware than ever about the impact of food on our health, but in the same time this trend put more pressure on the food retailers to do as much as possible to help their customers manage their weight and be healthy in general. This study aims to examine the corporate social responsibility for consumer health in food retailing, in which ways the companies promote healthy eating; in what extent they do it and also the motives for companies for corporate responsibility. The empirical study is limited to the market leading companies in Sweden, Coop and ICA, because the performance of the leading companies puts them in the strongest position to profit from shifting consumer trends, grow revenues and penetrate new markets and also enable them to make a strong case for the effectiveness of voluntary action, obviating the need for government intervention. A qualitative method was used in this study to get an accurate understanding how the food retailers take social responsibility for consumers health. The study is based on interviews with experts in the food retailers Coop and ICA, and the companies reporting in this area, annual reports, corporate responsibility reports and websites.

AbstractIn the fall of 2003 a project was started in the Swedish building sector that is called BASTA (the building sectors’ termination of especially harmful substances). The project is operated by the building companies NCC, Skanska, PEAB and JM, the Swedish Building Industry and the Swedish Environmental Institute IVL. The purpose of the project is to create a common environmental assessment system for the entire building industry and with the help of this system phase out the use of especially harmful properties from building products.In a large sense BASTA works like this; On the BASTA web site there is a database, to which a supplier can register the company and the company’s products. Only those products with a substance content that fulfil the demands of the BASTA system, is to be registered. As it is the supplier himself that carries out the registration of the company and the company’s products to the system, the BASTA-organisation annually controls that the companies that are registered in the database, fulfils BASTA’s demands.Since NCC is one of the companies that operates BASTA, BASTA is probably going to be the environmental assessment system that is recommended for the company in the future.

Undersökningen har en abduktiv ansats med i huvudsak en kvalitativ metod, men en del av empirin utgörs dock av kvantitativ data i tabellform tagen från årsredovisningar. Våra kvalitativa data utgörs av intervjuer med de fyra storbankerna och Finansinspektionen där internrevisionen är i fokus. En av Internrevisionens viktigaste uppgifter är att förse företagets ledning med tillförlitlig och relevant information så att de kan fatta riktiga beslut. Internrevisionens mål skiljer sig från externrevisionens mål, men ofta kan de dra nytta av varandras arbete. En banken kan med andra ord tjäna pengar på en effektiv IR.

Africa is expected to go through a rapid urbanization over the next four decades and the demand for food is increasing in the rapidly growing urban and peri-urban (UPU) areas. Keeping livestock in urban areas is in particular associated with health hazards. This is due to close interaction between humans and animals, and it has been shown that zoonotic diseases are increasing in urban areas. The benefits of urban and peri-urban agriculture (UPA) are related to improved food security, in particular among low-income groups. Apart from the negative public health impact of zoonotic diseases, animal disease could have a devastating impact on the economy and food security of many households in these areas. In the present study, three important endemic diseases, including brucellosis, salmonellosis and Bovine viral diarrhea (BVD), were analyzed in regard to seroprevalence and risk factors.

It is a kind ofstatistics that is not in action in Sweden because of data protection law for sensitivedata (Personuppgiftslagen). This kind of an enlarged census is requested frominternational institutions like the UN and the EU as a tool to combat discriminationand to keep track of human rights. The essay focuses above all on HIV/AIDS medicine. The description tries to give an image of the different interests that collide and why they collide. The different actors are above all the pharmaceutical branch, including researchers, inventors and salesmen with their economic interest of revenue, and the population of the development countries and their pressed situation considering the great need of medicine.

År 2013 införde Arbetsmiljöverket ett nytt webbaserat enkätverktyg som skall kunna ge ett mått av säkerhetskulturen hos företag och organisationer. Denna enkät baserades på tidigare forskning som tog fram en enkät, NOSACQ-50, för just detta ändamål. Värt att notera är att Arbetsmiljöverkets version är förkortad där vissa påståenden togs bort och vissa skrevs om. Det är detta som analysen behandlar. Riskkapitalbranschen har varit etablerad i Sverige sedan 1980-talet, trots det finns det idag inget regelverk som specifikt reglerar denna verksamhet. Sedan år 2007 har Skatteverket bedrivit djupgående utredningar av bolag verksamma inom riskkapitalbranschen. I utredningarna har fokus legat på en särskild vinstandel som utgår till vissa aktiva aktörer inom denna bransch. Den särskilda vinstandelen benämns carried interest och har skapat stor debatt på riskkapitalområdet. Debatten grundar sig i hur carried interest ska klassificeras och beskattas.

This project is implemented as a thesis at the Royal Institute of Technology in the master?s degree program Integrated Product Design and Industrial Design Engineering. The project has involved development and efficiency of a free starter package for expectant parents with useful content consisting of useful products for both before and after childbirth. Areas that have been investigated include packaging development, service design and appropriate content for the package.During the work, theory about packaging design, materials, manufacturing techniques and logistics have been processed to base the further work on. The project process has involved competitor analysis and interviews with store owners and customer surveys, that have been conducted to identify areas for improvement of the current solution.
