Kandidatarbetets syfte är att ur ett socialkonstruktivistiskt perspektiv beskriva och analysera hur julfirande framställs i tre bilderböcker. Vi ville undersöka hur det svenska julfirandet framställs i bilderböcker med olika tidsmässiga fokus samt i relation till etnologiska studier inom ämnesområdet. De bilderböcker som valdes är: Petters och Lottas jul av Elsa Beskow, Julgröten av Sven Nordqvist samt Emilias jul av Anna Dunér och Kirsten Raagaard. Arbetets forskningsfrågor är: ?Hur framställs julfirandet i text och bild i bilderböckerna Petters och Lottas jul, Julgröten och Emilias jul, samt vilka diskurser kan identifieras??, ?Vilka likheter och skillnader finns mellan de tre framställningarna?? och ?Hur förhåller sig diskurserna till etnologiska studier som belyser svenskt julfirande från slutet av 1800-talet fram till 2000-talet??.

Destination marketing organisations (DMO) är ett fenomen som går att studera utifrån flera aspekter. Vi valde att utgå från DMO positionering och distribution av turismprodukter vilket skapade frågeställningen: Hur förmedlas Norge som en nationell destination? Organisationen är komplex, och detta arbetets syfte är därför att få en ökad förståelse för DMOs arbete utifrån en egenskapad modell, DMOs framställningsprocess av en destination. En deduktiv ansats har används i studien, där teorierna DMO, platsmarkandsföring, kommersialisering samt destination image har behandlats. Dessa teorier har sedan applicerats på ett verkligt fenomen, som i detta fall har varit Norges DMO, Innovasjon Norge. Arbetets empiriska material har samlats in från en mail intervju med Andreas Ørjasæter Solhaug på Innovasjon Norge.

Uppsatsen bygger på en studie av hur texttyp och genre förklaras i läroböcker inom gymnasieskolan. Syftet är att kritiskt granska hur begreppen förklaras i läroböcker för Svenska A och B. Som utgångspunkt för studien görs även en granskning av hur vetenskaplig text förklarar dessa begrepp. Det sker genom en kritisk närläsning av ett texturval från både det språkvetenskapliga och det litteraturvetenskapliga fältet. Granskningen utgår från distinktion, komplexitet och samband.

Denna studies huvudsyfte är att undersöka vilka strategier några svenska skolbarn använder sig av i sitt bildskapande samt att ta reda på vad de vill säga med sina bilder. I min litteraturdel redogör jag för olika sätt att se på och tolka barns bilder. De inriktningar som jag presenterar är: stadieteorier, den processinriktade ansatsen, den sociokulturella ansatsen samt den narrativa modellen. Dessa presenterar jag för att ge en bakgrund och förståelse för den modell som jag i huvudsak kommer att använda mig av i min studie, nämligen den narrativa modellen. Denna innebär att man tittar på bildens form som ett resultat av bildens innehåll, vad barnen vill berätta med sina bilder.
