AbstractIn my ambition to improve my writing and reflect upon the way I express myself I am, in this paper, going to study the purport of the term pathetic. I do this by inquiring what lexicon and dictionaries say about the term and by studying how the word can be used in present time. I apply the contemporary usage of the term pathetic to my own text and then adapt my text from how the term is used in our time. By doing this I clarify to myself how I look at my own literary style, what I want my writing to be like and how the progress in my composing is developing. According to the interpretations I have done, I find meanings like ?ridiculous? and meanings which have to do with strong emotions as well.

In Sweden there has been a surge of interest in the films classified as pilsnerfilms, i.e. comicalfilms produced for little money in the 1930's and containing a more working class and/or ruralsetting then the so called "champagne comedies" from the same era. The concept"pilsnerfilm" is how ever a little vague and although the main focus of this paper ispilsnerfilms, it will also cover other types of comical films made in Sweden between the1930's and 1940's.This paper examines the now-existing network of people interested in these types of movies.It will do so by interviewing seven of the most prominent fans of movies made during the1930's and 1940's. Most of them are living in Stockholm. The paper discuss how through theconsumption of these types of films, a nostalgic gaze is created.

The purpose of this essay has been to study the comprehensibility and the plainness of chapter 1 and 2 in ?Läroplan, examensmål och gymnasiegemensamma ämnen för gymnasieskola 2011? that is one of the governing documents of Swedish upper secondary school. The Swedish government approved a national language policy in 2005 which involved an aim that the official Swedish language would be refined, easy and comprehensible. Plain language has since the eighties had a prominent place in Swedish research and science and is now a thought-out principle at almost every public authority. SammandragSyftet med denna studie är att undersöka kopplingen mellan skriftspråk och självbild. En undersökning av 6 elever i 12-årsåldern genomfördes. Undersökningsmaterialet består av en skriftlig berättelse och enkätsvar utifrån både slutna och öppna frågor. Jag deltog som observatör och stöd under elevernas arbete med att skriva sina berättelser och svara på enkätfrågorna.Med tanke på undersökningens omfattning går det inte att säga att det finns en tydlig koppling mellan skriftspråksförmåga och självbild. Man kan dock se några tendenser som är intressanta.

Det här arbetet har handlat om att komponera sångmelodier bestående av vers, refräng och eventuellt en brygga med hjälp av sex olika metoder. Jag ville ta reda på vilken metod jag ska använda för att min arbetsprocess ska flyta på så bra som möjligt och samtidigt få resultat som jag är nöjd med. Melodierna var menade att passa inom genren pop och tanken var att de skulle passa min röst, eftersom jag planerar att sjunga dem själv. Jag kom fram till att den metod som fick arbetsprocessen att flyta på bäst för mig var att improvisera fram melodier med rösten till en färdig text, men den metod som jag tycker gav de bästa melodierna var att improvisera fram melodier med rösten utan några andra hjälpmedel. Arbetet har resulterat i 24 stycken inspelade sångmelodier med tillhörande ackord samt två stycken färdiga låtar med text och ett enklare arrangemang..

Success in treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy against different types of cancer tumors is limited by side-effects such as hearing loss which can have a large impact on the individual`s quality of life. It is of great importance to continue with studies that address this complex of problems.Objective: The aim of this literature review is to investigate the impact of platinum-based chemotherapy on hearing in children and adolescents treated for different types of cancer.Method: A descriptive review of literature was made based on sources from 15 different studies on the impact of platinum-based chemotherapy on hearing in the target group.Results: The survey of the studies shows that platinum-based chemotherapy causes incidence of hearing loss by differing degree in the target group. Dosage of a platinum-based substance appeared to be the most significant factor. Treatment with both cisplatin and carboplatin was more ototoxic than treatment with only one of these. Greater risk for hearing loss was to a higher degree observed in younger children.

And also why the usage of loanwords occur.The purpose of our study is to find out how frequent English loanwords are in Swedish sports journalism.

Prioritisation of software requirements is a critical part of the development of software. Whichrequirements and in which order they will be developed is one of the main tasks that requirementprioritisation supports.There are different ways that a requirement prioritisation can be used, for example alone or in agroup and with different methods.The purpose of this report is to map out how you can carry out a requirement prioritisation alonewith different types of prioritisation methods and how you solve the problems that can arise whenprioritisting requirements. This is done by documenting the use of three different types of methodsthat can be execute alone. The methods are "100-dollar test", "Ranking" and "Top-tenrequirements".To be able to prioritise requirements, you need to establish which requirements you shall prioritise.The paper retrieves this information by interviewing stakeholders in the system and analysing theresult of the interviews and the execution of the requirement prioritisation.Three problems arose during that work and I present solutions on these problems. Inom det teoretiska perspektivet för huvudområdet SMDI vilket inbegriper språkliga och kulturella verksamheter som barn och unga ingår i, men samtidigt med vidgad ram mot skrivutveckling och textsocialisation mot det nya medielandskapet, skrivs denna uppsats. Studien syftar till att ge en djupare förståelse för hur elevers samtal skapar text i skärmbaserad undervisning, det vill säga hur eleverna arbetar med digitala verktyg i undervisningen, samt för hur läraren stödjer samtalet. Det teoretiska perspektivet bottnar i Vygotskijs sociokulturella teori. Studien som har en hermeneutisk inriktning med ansats att tolka och klargöra, är av kvalitativ karaktär. Metoden är deltagande observation.

This thesis examines conceptions of gender revealed by people when assessing texts. The research questions are: What associations can be discerned between gender conceptions and ideas about the quality of texts? What features of content and style are perceived as female or male? The study seeks to develop a method for comparing different people?s assessments of the same text. The material was collected by means of questionnaires in which 114 informants were asked to assess three anonymous student texts and then guess the sex of the writer. The material has been analysed quantitatively by correlating the assessments of the texts with the guesses about the sex of the author, and qualitatively, as the informants? freely worded assessments of the texts were analysed for content and form with the support of assumptions about how assessments are expressed in text.
