According to Barclay (2001), behavioral interviews yield higher quality information, than other interview techniques. This study focused on whether the quality and quantity of information differ between structured interview and behavioral interviewing. Two headhunters held 16 job interviews with the two techniques, 9 behavioral interviews and 7 structured interviews. Both headhunters and candidates have evaluated the interviews quantitatively. Initial and concluding interviews have, as well, been held with the headhunters.  No definitive answers were found in the quantitative analysis, but the qualitative results suggest that behavioral interviews give, because of the headhunters opinions, more and higher quality information.

The aim of this study is to examine how work at music departments in public libraries has changed with time. To analyze this, the role of music libraries as well as music library users, selection, holdings, acquisition and technological development have been examined. The examined data consists of qualitative interviews with music librarians and library assistants at public libraries in Sweden. To get a time perspective, handbooks and articles about music departments in libraries have also been analyzed.This study emanates from Sanna Talja?s discourse analysis of music libraries in Finland.

This essay in musicology is combined with a CD-recording of piano improvisations. Its purpose is, on the one hand, to examine some of the ideas permeating piano improvisation during the first part of the nineteenth century, and, on the other, to find ways to apply these nineteenth century ideas of improvising to modern piano playing. The artistic part of the work is as important as the theoretical, and the two strands are supporting and reinforcing each other.The first section of the text focuses on preluding ? that is, a genre of improvisation. The second section investigates some aspects of the improvising of Franz Liszt ? that is, different types of improvisation as practised by an important nineteenth century musician.

Syfte: Syftet med denna undersökning var att ur specialpedagogisk synvinkel kartlägga hur fem NO-lärare beskriver att de använder text i sin undervisning. Frågeställningarna var: Hur använder lärarna text i sin undervisning? Vilka läsförståelsestrategier undervisar lärarna om? Hur samverkar lärarna med specialpedagog kring elever med lässvårigheter? Vilket stöd efterfrågar lärarna för att utveckla sin undervisning? Teori: Då denna studie behandlar läsförståelse och undervisning, i vilken läraren har en aktiv roll och använder sig av dialog och kommunikation för att förklara fenomen och begrepp, har ett sociokulturellt perspektiv valts som teoretisk utgångpunkt.Metod: Datainsamlingen gjordes genom kvalitativa halvstrukturerade intervjuer med fem NO-lärare verksamma på högstadiet i olika stadsdelar i en storstad. Intervjuerna utformades som samtal utifrån en intervjuguide som tog sin utgångspunkt i undersökningens syfte och frågeställningar. Intervjuerna spelades in, transkriberades och analyserades.Resultat: Resultatet visar att samtliga lärare i undersökningen beskrev NO-texter som abstrakta, faktaspäckade och en utmaning för eleverna att ta till sig.

Denna uppsats belyser nyanlända gymnasieelevers möte med programtypiska läromedelstexter. Syftet med undersökningen var att undersöka elevernas faktiska upplevelse av svåra ord i en text och jämföra det med lärares antaganden om vilka ord som de tror utgör svårigheter i samma text. I en studie fick elever i åk 1 och 2 markera ord som de inte förstod i utvalda läromedelstexter. Elevernas lärare läste samma texter och markerade de ord de förmodade att eleverna inte kände till eller förstod. Resultatet tyder på att en läromedelstext på gymnasienivå innehåller många ord som är okända för elever med kort tid i Sverige.

This thesis is carried out on behalf of watermixer manufacturer Ostnor AB in Mora.The thesis deals with the area of Article Bound Instructions (ABI) at the company'sassembly department, regarding the layout and management routines involved withthese instructions.In the current situation there are problems with no uniformity in the manner in whichthe ABI is written, then referred to both the civil structure, images and specificityrates in the text.Another problem is that operators do not make use of the ABI that are available inthe current situation, and that there are no clear procedures for who has theresponsibility to write, update and change these ABI.During this work has several people that were identified as key personnel of thethesis held in order to get a handle on how the current situation of the variousobjects of the work looks like, and to examine different desires about the future ofthese should look like from the different subjects perspectives been interviewed.During the work, a number of deficiencies, including that the current program that isused to write the ABI, Lotus Notes, do not possess near the prerequisites for being asimple program to deal with when writing the ABI, which is a condition since wishesare about to put the responsibility for the ABI generation to the departmentsoperators, since their main task is to assemble and do not bother with a program in acomputer.The result of this work has generated new layout and structure of the ABI, designedto be used continuously in the assembly for evaluation, routines regardingresponsibility of the ABI for the Department of Production Engineering (PT),procedures for how the ABI should be written regarding amount of detaileddescriptions in the text and use of pictures.In addition, proposals for further work and improvements has been developed basedon experience during the work and presented at the end of the report..

Detta har varit ett examensarbete om 20 poäng på programmet för Fysisk Planering vid Blekinge Tekniska Högskola. Det har varit ett enskild arbete och handledning har kommit från två handledare på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola. Mittseminarium för arbetet hölls 29 januari 2004 på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola i närvaro av handledaren, opponenten och andra åhörare. Ett avsnitt berättar kort historik om Mörbylångas framväxt, om ortens hamn och om sockerbruket som fanns på orten 1908-1991. Det avsnittet är tänkt för att introducera läsaren i Mörbylånga och i det aktuella planområdet. Åldersbestämningen som finns på befintliga byggnader är endast ungefärlig, då de exakta årtalen har varit synnerligen svåra att få tag på. Nulägesbeskrivningen består i kartor som visar hur Mörbylånga försörjs trafikmässigt via ett större omland.

The purpose of this research is to identify how E-NGO and forest stakeholders, in the study referred to as non-state actors, have influenced the EU timber regulation; through participation and lobbyism towards the decision- makers (policy makers) at EU and national level, to achieve adjustments in the legislative text. The study also examines the relationships between the forest stakeholders, the E-NGOs and the EU-institutions, regarding communication, cooperation, informal and formal consultation where interviews were accomplished with decision-makers from the EU-institutions, forest stakeholders, E-NGOS and representatives from Swedish authorities that participated under the development of the EUTR during the period of 2008-2013. The participation and lobbying from non-state actors have most likely affected the outcome of the regulation, through alterations in the legislative text and through influencing the EU-institutions. Several factors that have affected the efficiency and timing of the influence have been identified through interviews as well as various approaches to influence the decision makers. The findings of the study may be useful for forest related interest groups that are involved in decision-making procedures at EU-level and as substance and material for further research in the subject of forest policy making at supranational level..

This thesis treats lending figures of literature on religion at libraries in Vårgårda and Lerum.Formulated hypotheses are: The use of literature on religion is higher at the library in Vårgårdathan at the one in Lerum; In Lerum the most literature on religion is used by highly educatedpeople; Ethnic groups and librarians have an influence on the stock.The Christian literature has other patterns than other literature regarding selection criteria,reviews and distribution. The conclusions are: The fact that there are many members ofChurch and Chapel in Vårgårda, does reflect the number of loans of literature on religion in apositive way; Education does not influence, but distance between school and library; Thelibrarians' interest and therefore knowledge regarding religious topics has an impact on theirtreatment of religious books, while ethnic groups do not effect stock and use in either Vårgårdaor Lerum..

Denna uppsats kommer undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan läsförståelse och läsupplevelse på surfplattan iPad. Det kommer att försöka fastställas om läsförståelse är bättre på iPad eller papper, och om deltagarnas egen läsupplevelse reflekterar deras läsförståelse vid läsning av en kortare text. Hypotesen i uppsatsen var att deltagarna antog att den traditionella läsning på papper var bättre än läsning på Ipad, vilket inte nödvändigtvis stämmer. Det undersöktes även om användarvana hade någon inverkan på läsförståelsen på iPad. I undersökningen fick målgruppen, som bestod av medieteknikstudenter, läsa två texter och därefter svara på tillhörande frågor, en text på papper och en på iPad.

Advertising is something that we get in touch with on a daily basis and more or less everywhere. Advertising is used in different mediums, such as magazines, television, radio, internet, cellphones et.c. The aim of the present study is to find out if there are any recurrent dissimilarities how advertising is constructed among the mediums regarding rhetorical and semiotical theories. Two different mediums have been chosen for a comparison, printed advertisments versus internetbanners. The study has been based on a total of ten qualitative image analyses.

This paper presents a study that evaluates the performance of stock recommendations issued on Swedish stocks during 2003. The selection of recommendations in this paper originates from banks, major brokerage firms and financial press located in Sweden. The total of 171 recommendations consisted of 99 buy recommendations and 72 sell recommendations. Forecast revisions presented in this paper suggest that Investment managers have no ability to predict performance winners, nor do their forecasts in general have any significant impact on stock prices. A mere 50 percent of the recommendations in this revision had a weak ability to outperform their benchmark indexes as in other similar revisions.
