Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur bilden av Dalarna förmedlas genom internet och massmedia.Frågeställning: Hur ser Dalarnas platsmarknadsföring ut via Visit Dalarna? Hur förmedlar kommunikationsföretaget VisitSweden bilden av Dalarna till omvärlden? Hur förmedlas bilden av Dalarna i massmedia?Metod: För att svar kopplade till frågeställningen har en text- och bildanalys använts där icke sannolikhetsurval har legat till grund. Vidare har forskaren valt att använda hermeneutiken som förklaras som läran av tolkning. Studien är skriven utifrån en induktiv ansats där en kvalitativ metod används.Resultat: Efter att ha analyserat insamlad data blev slutsatsen att Dalarna har en platsmarknadsföring som stämmer överens mellan olika kanaler. Dessa kanaler förmedlar Dalarnas identitet med hjälp av texter och bilder.

Syftet med denna studie är att granska hur den bild som förmedlas av individer med en annan etnisk bakgrund än svensk är konstruerad i bilderböcker. Detta sker genom en kvalitativ text- och innehållsanalys av fem bilderböcker utgivna mellan år 1995 - 2012. Böckerna som analyseras ärNoah och bästa grejen, En hög med snö, Den andra mamman, Alfons och soldatpappan samt Afrika bakom staketet. För att uppnå syftet har tre frågeställningar formulerats: hur sker personskildringen av individer med en annan etnicitet än svensk? Hur används miljön i skildringen av individer med en annan etnicitet än svensk? Hur samverkar text och bild i skildringen av personer med en annan etnicitet än svensk? Resultatet som framkommit visar att författare väljer att närma sig etnicitet på olika sätt.

The essay explores nationalism in the curriculum of the swedish school from 1878 to 1994. The text has been undertaken an analysis in three levels of discourse based on Norman Faircloughs critical language analysis. The first level is the text, the second is types of discourses and the third is order of discourse.The nationalism in the curriculum has been related to three nationalistic types of discourses, derived from earlier studies on Swedish nationalism. They are conservative nationalism, ?folkhemsnationalism? and contemporary nationalism.

Denna läroboksanalys är en studie med syfte att undersöka hur stormaktstidens människor skildras i svenska historieläroböcker för mellanstadiet. Detta för att öka medvetenheten kring vad text och bild ger för information om de människor som levde under denna epok i Sverige. Metoden som använts är en kritisk diskursanalys eftersom den lämpar sig väl för att upptäcka eventuella maktstrukturer baserat på texters språkliga uttryck. I den kvalitativa analysen ingår 8 böcker som riktar sig till mellanstadieelever och de kapitel som behandlats är de som berör tiden mellan 1611 och 1718. De böcker som analyserats visar i både text och bild att stormaktstiden i Sverige anses vara en viktig epok i svensk historieskrivning.

Jag har valt ut 12 st. av de bostadsprojekt som jag arbetat med under de senaste tjugo åren. För dessa projekt gäller att jag som arkitekt har haft ett huvudansvar för hela projektet eller delar av det. The study aims to analyze conceptions of death and dying at a clinic for palliative care, using a constructivist perspective and a discourse analytical approach. The empirical material consists of interviews with staff members, documents and photographs of the environment, taking both space and materiality into account. Global warming is one of the most debated environmental issues right now, and it could be argued that it is important to study how the phenomenon is treated in schools. The main purpose of this study is to put students? knowledge about global warming in relation with the control documents for chemistry, biology and physics studies. Interviews have been conducted with six students in the 9th grade. The conclusion of the survey indicates that the students generally have a satisfying knowledge about the phenomenon and that they know how they should behave from an environmental perspective..

This thesis is about the interaction between composition, notation and interpretation and what occurs between the fields with an extended notation.The purpose of my thesis is to examine the possibilities tothoroughly describe and map the sounding samples through composition prototypes.The thesis has a qualitative approach, and the empirical material consists of different documents about notation and from interviews with musicians and students about the instruments used in the thesis.It also consists of 17 compositions recorded at Örebro University School of Music as an appendix.The analysis shows that the context in which the symbols are found, play an important role in performing them. It also shows that the performers are rooted in a traditional way of performing..

This paper attempts to display how five teachers of social studies use and relate to the policy documents and their instructions on gender. To penetrate the subject, five teachers were intreviewed. Each interview focused on how the curriculum attempts to guide teachers regarding gender, sex differences and equality of opportunity. The collected information was processed, analyzed and discussed using gender studies and discourse theory.The results show that the interpretation and usage of the curriculum is very subjective and varies greatly between all the interviewed teachers. Their personal interpretation proves to be crucial when it comes to making reality of the stated goals in the curriculum, concerning actively working towards equality of opportunity between sexes.

AbstractThe school today has an assignment to offset traditional gender patterns as well as to create opportunities for all pupils to achieve the same good results in school regardless of sex, ethnicity and conditions. The educator?s assignment is determined by governing documents, and the educator plays a role in helping the pupil find their equal role in society. This means that the educator needs to work in a way that offsets traditional gender patterns and require approaches that would benefit equal opportunities for both boys and girls to achieve good results.The purpose of the study was, through interviews, to get an idea of how primary school teachers from a gender equal perspective perceive how they see them relate to boys and girls in their teachings. The study is based on the presumptions that the pupils have but focusing on the relationship between school achievements and equality.The study brings up concepts like gender theories, equality, the biological sexes, the history of the schools development and changes in acceptance of boys and girls and the role of the governing documents to reach acceptable achievements.

The main purpose of this study is to analyze texts written by pupils during the national test in the subject Swedish for grade 9 in order to identify and illustrate how they have met the instructions for the writing task including genre. The texts have been analyzed using Palmér & Östlund-Stjärnegårdh?s (2005) model for student text analysis. This model has been supplemented by studying word and sentence length, as well as indexes for level of readability (LIX) and word variation (OVIX) in order to illustrate possible differences in a gender perspective. The results of this study are in line with previous research, as the girls? texts are longer and more descriptive, while the boys? texts are shorter and show a wider range of word variation.

En undersökning genomförd av Statskontoret, 2005, visar att webbanvändare har önskemål om att lättare hitta information på offentlig sektors webbplatser. Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur kommunala webbplatser kan förbättras så att användarna lättare kan hitta den information de söker. Enligt teorier hämtade från området för webbdesign och användbarhet påverkar aspekterna struktur, navigation, design samt text och etikettering möjligheten att hitta på webbplatser. En studie av nio kommunala webbplatser visar att de förevisade teorierna efterföljs i viss mån och i olika utsträckning av de olika kommunerna. Främst förekommer brister inom områdena struktur samt text och etikettering.

In the Swedish school library discussion, the most prominent role of the school library haslong been that of cultural centre in the school, with the main goal being to encourage children'sreading. During the 90ies there were signs of a shift in focus to the role of information centre,giving active support across the whole range of the curriculum, in the independent researchingwork of the students. At the same time severe budget cuts caused great worries for the future.The interest for the school library media centres increased during this time, many differentorganizations said they wanted to fight for better school libraries. The purpose of the presentwork was to find out who they are, what they want and what their ideal school library lookslike. Fourteen organizations were studied, focus was on activities during 1995.
