Bioenergy from the forest ? a source of conflict between forestry and nature conservation? : an analysis of key actor?s positions in Sweden
Bioenergy from the forest has been heavily debated in Sweden for several decades due to the interest of society to decrease dependence upon fossil fuels and limit the effects of climate change. The actual use of bioenergy from the forest has shifted over the years but increased during the last decades. Private actors within forest and nature conservation sectors play an important role for the development of bioenergy from the forest as well as for the debate and the implementation of political goals. Forestry in Sweden is characterised by ?freedom under responsibility? for private actors and the perspective of governance is valuable for studying actors and discourses.
Senkaku-Diaoyu ekonomin kontra militären : En kvalitativ textanalys om ö-konflikten mellan Kina och Japan.
The relationship between China and Japan has historically been problematic and, in some ways still is. One of the issues where both of the states cannot agree on is the island dispute. While both states are claiming sovereignty over the island and there do not seem to be an ending to it in the near future. If the island dispute continues to escalate it could have a negative impact in the Asian region and eventually rest of the world as well. However due to the complexity of the dispute a deeper knowledge is needed and a mutual understanding is needed.
Eu-iska, Europas nya språk? : En studie av Europarådets gemensamma referensram för språk med fokus på språksyn och flerspråkighet.
The overall aim of this thesis is to contribute to the understanding of how the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) presents discourse views and multilingualism. This is of importance, due to the impact the European Council?s education collaboration has on the Swedish syllabus for languages. The research perspective of the thesis is to solely focus on discourse views and multilingualism: comparing two analytic frameworks, by applying a qualitative Text analysis. The first being based on two different models of discourse strategies and the latter based on two studies on how multilingualism is treated in Scandinavian school situations.
Elevnära texter ? vad är det? : En studie av lärares tankar kring vad en elevnära text är
Denna studie undersöker begreppet elevnära som används i Kursplan för Svenska från år 2008. Kvalitativa intervjuer har gjorts med fem yrkesverksamma lärare för att ta reda på deras tolkningar. Skolverkets förklaring av begreppet utforskas även.Intervjuernas resultat analyseras enligt en fenomenografisk ansats och lärarnas åsikter har placerats in i ett antal beskrivningskategorier. Analyserna av resultaten visar att både de intervjuade lärarna och Skolverket ser till flera olika aspekter av vad elevnära innebär, men Skolverket har dock en bredare syn.Alla de intervjuade lärarna har olika definitioner, vilket visar att det är problematiskt att i ett styrdokument använda ett begrepp där tolkningsfriheten kan vara stor. I och med att kursplanerna är målstyrda är det viktigt att dessa mål är tydliga så att lärarna kan förstå dem.
Metoder för kulturmiljöanalys
Questions concerning the Cultural Heritage must be integrated in social planning.Therefore there is a need for adequate methods for cultural environmental analysis, toreceive knowledge that is relevant in an integrated conservation. The thesis is a review ofmethods for cultural environmental analysis and discusses the qualifications necessary fora method in order to receive adequate information as well as it discusses what kind ofinformation to be considered relevant. The thesis also analyzes a specific method forcultural environmental analysis in order to exam if it has got the qualifications concludedas necessary if it is to be used in an integrated conservation. The conclusion is that amethod for cultural environmental analysis should collect information about the entireenvironment (integrated information about nature and culture, in a historical perspectiveand how it is today), about social structures, physical remains (buildings etc) and what thecollected information tell about the history of the studied area, as well as what is importantin the landscape of today. Information about how the environment should be treated in thefuture is also of importance.
Gränser i Grödinge : Om hägnadsanläggningars funktion med utgångspunkt i en fosfatanalys av RAÄ 78 samt RAÄ 79 i Grödinge sn på Södertörn
This paper deals with the question of when hill forts ? or enclosed mountains ? were built and to what purpose, by examining two enclosed mountains (RAÄ 78 and 79) in Grödinge parish in the province of Södermanland. A phosphate analysis was conducted to trace anthropogenic activities. The analysis showed only a slight elevation of phosphate content in the soil. A histogram indicated that the elevations were not normally distributed, which could suggest that they were caused by anthropogenic activities.

The purpose of this paper is to examine how LKAB are portrayed in the newspaper Dagens Nyheter (DN). The methods that were used were: Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) combined with Critical Linguistic Analysis. These were used since they help to reveal the structures and unconscious meaning and power of word. It gives the tools to see how authority, power and meaning of words are constructed during social practice of the way they are used. To complement the method the theories that?s used are discourse analysis since CDA is both a method and a theory.

AbstractThe aim of this Master thesis is to explore why some Swedes want to consume?eco-friendly? and whether this fact gives rise to articulated information needs. Two possible explanations for this ?eco conscious? consumption are being tested, either if it is based on a normative belief that it is the right thing to do if you, as a consumer, want to do something about the environmental degradation, or that it is a reaction to a perceived risk, due to the environmental degradation. The method chosen by the author in this thesis is a qualitative Text analysis of five Swedish journals.

Utveckling av inbyggda system med grafisk programmering
The increase of complexity in embedded programming is forcing the development of higher level programminglanguages. These languages not only consist of traditional text based programming but also with graphical programminglanguages such as the programming language G from LabVIEW which is developed by National Instruments and havebeen around since the mid eighties. However since 2004 this language has also been able to program embeddedhardware, using the modules LabVIEW SDK and LabVIEW for ARM. This thesis shows how LabVIEW for ARM converts itsgraphical language G to C and then how C is flashed into the microprocessor. The thesis also takes up the pros and consof using G for embedded development.
Glosträning eller lässtrategier? Lärares syn på läsning i gymnasieskolans språkundervisning
Abstract
The aim of this study is to find out how teachers view the importance of reading in the teaching of foreign languages. In relation to this, we wish to gain understanding of what teachers want to achieve with reading, how they choose texts and what difficulties they encounter in getting their students to read. Six teachers from three different upper secondary schools in southern Sweden were interviewed for the study. We also examined the text-materials that they were using for their instruction. The findings show that students read mostly adapted texts from textbooks and, to a limited extent, authentic materials.
Det vidgade textbegreppet i svenskundervisningen på gymnasieskolan : En studie av sex svensklärares syn på och användning av text
Denna uppsats har som syfte att undersöka hur några lärare ser på och använder det vidgade textbegreppet i svenskundervisningen på gymnasieskolan. För att uppnå detta syfte formulerades tre frågeställningar som studien söker svar på. Dessa frågeställningar är: Hur uppfattar lärarna konceptet ett vidgat textbegrepp och vad uppfattar de själva som en text? Hur, när och varför arbetar lärarna med ljud- och bildbaserade medier? Vilka möjligheter och hinder upplever lärarna i Skolverkets mål om ett vidgat textbegrepp och generell mediekompetens i svenskundervisningen? Genom semistrukturerade intervjuer undersöker studien sex svensklärare på en gymnasieskola i södra Sverige för att söka svar på frågeställningarna. Undersökningen pekar på att det finns mer att önska vad gäller såväl synen på text och uppfattning om vad en vidgad textsyn innebär.
Permutationer av omskrivningsregler : Egenskaper hos omskrivningsregler till lättläst svenska
Studien ar en analysering av omskrivningsregler framtagna av Decker (2003), dessa omskrivningsregler har implementerats i ett verktyg som heter CogFLUX. Syftet med dessa omskrivningsregler ar att forenkla det svenska spraket och gora det mer lattlast. CogFLUX tar en given text som input och omskrivningsregler valjs ut och appliceras pa texterna med hjalp av verktyget. Detta verktyg returnerar sedan en omskriven text och de tre olika lasbarhetsmatten LIX, OVIX och NR for texten. Syftet med studien har varit att se huruvida olika permutationer av en given uppsattning omskrivningsregler ger olika resultat matt med lasbarhetsmatten samt om det finns kombinationer av omskrivningsregler som fungerar battre an andra.
