Syftet i denna studie är att beskriva hur faktatexter används i skolundervisningen samt att belysa hur elever respektive lärare ser på texternas funktion i skolan.Att dela in texter i olika genrer är ett sätt för oss som människor att kategorisera texter och dess funktion i samhället. Skolan som institution är inget undantag och elever lär sig redan från unga år att göra detta. Eleverna lär sig tidigt vad de kan förvänta sig av skolans material då skolans traditioner och samhället noga ?valt ut? vad som anses dugligt för undervisning. Dessa förväntningar påverkar elevernas syn på hur en text bör se ut och det skapar även en ?klyfta? mellan de texter de möter i skolan och de texter eleverna möter hemma på fritiden.

Universeum är ett upplevelsecentrum för naturvetenskap och teknik, ett så kallat Science Centre.I vårt arbete undersöker vi hur vetenskap bäst kommuniceras till barn och ungdomar via textskyltar på ett Science Centre. Vi analyserar vilket språk som bör användas och hur skyltarnas layout ska utformas för att väcka intresse, ge information och lust att lära mer inomnaturvetenskap och teknik. Baserat på denna analys ger vi även förslag på skylttexter och skyltlayout till Universeums avdelning Explora..

Ett av lärandemålen för utbildningen inom barnmorskeprogrammet vid Göteborgs universitet (GU) är att självständigt handlägga en normal förlossning. Kliniskt träningscenter vid institutionen för vårdvetenskap och hälsa ger studenter möjlighet att träna praktiska moment i handläggning av förlossning utan att involvera patienter. Då dessa träningstillfällen är begränsade finns behov av andra inlärningsformer. Film som undervisningsmetod vid inlärning av praktiska moment har visat goda resultat. Utbudet av pedagogiska filmer för blivande barnmorskor är emellertid litet eller obefintligt.

The aim with this Masters thesis is to examine the professional knowledge of the librarian. The method used is text analysis of a state public investigation, SOU 1969:37, that concerns librarian education. The theoretical starting point is a theory of knowledge thats descended from Aristotle. Three different forms of knowledge are central concepts in the theory: the theoretical, the practical and the ethical. The main issue in this thesis is: In what ways did the investigators look at the librarians knowledge? Was it in a changeable period of time? In that case, what reasons could there be? The conclusion shows that educational political changes were affecting the whole educational sphere at the late 1960:s, and in the beginning of the 1970:s, including library education.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien är att studera hälso- och kroppsideal som framställs i fem läromedel riktade till högstadiet och gymnasiet för ämnet idrott och hälsa samt studera om idealen skiljer sig mellan könen.Vilka kroppsideal finns i läromedlen?Vilka hälsosamma kroppsideal och ohälsosamma kroppar framställs i läromedlen?Skiljer sig idealen beroende på kön?MetodFem läroböcker riktade till högstadiet och gymnasiet i idrott och hälsa har använts för att analysera förekomsten av kropps- och hälsoideal. Text- och bildanalys har använts för att studera materialet och genom en variant av innehållsanalys har materialet studerats och analyserats där text och bild som kunnat kopplas till kroppsideal och hälsoideal delats in i sex kategorier. Kategorierna var hälsosam kvinnlig kropp, ohälsosam kvinnlig kropp, hälsosam manlig kropp, ohälsosam manlig kropp, hälsosam kropp obestämt kön och ohälsosam kropp obestämt kön. Efter en sammanställning av samtliga bilder och textavsnitt har en sammanvägning gjorts som visar mönster i läroböckerna kring hälso- och kroppsideal för respektive kön men också gemensamma drag mellan könen.ResultatStudien visar att kvinnliga ideala hälsosamma kroppar gestaltas på bilderna som smala, vältränade och unga.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine how the Viking age is described in textbooks and teaching aids in the countries Sweden and Great Britain. The examination is done through a text analysis, specifically called textbook or teaching aid analysis, where the content of the teaching aid is examined.                      A literature survey with thoughts and statements regarding the Viking age of writers and experts, from both countries, are included.                       This examine is also to answer the question whether the teaching aids are typical or infrequent in relation to each other inside the explicit country, but also between the countries.   The result shows that the teaching aids in the main are typical in relation to each other. Some differences do exist and shows themselves in the choices of dispositions and layout, also in a few numbers of cases in the content. .

In this thesis I have investigated four housing corporation?s information about garbage disposal for their tenants (primarily immigrants who just arrived to Sweden).   Interviews with renters, employees of the housing corporations and employees of Eskilstuna Energi och Miljö indicates that the garbage information need to be improved to be better adapted to the target group.    To solve this information problem I decided to create an information chart, consisting of illustrations and legible text which informs the renters of how and, above all why it is important to recycle.   The aim of the project is also to increase the renters? commitment and motivation in recycling and also; make the housing corporations, other organizations and authorities aware of how important it is to adapt information to different kind of groups. The right touch is a project investigating the necessity of the graphic designer in relation to prose text.The project is partly theoretical and partly practical. A series of interviews with graphic designers, publishers and writers has been conducted to discuss the relationship between content and form in prose. In addition to these interviews, I have done theoretical research on the historical, political and economical context of the designed prose. Based on the findings during the theoretical research, a series of practical experiments was also executed. This project has had several outcomes but one of the more noteworthy is two methods for challenging the references in the act of designing prose (choosing a typeface, for example) using algorithms.

Med utgångspunkt för tre forskningsområden: semiotik, pragmatik och kognition, har det gjorts ett försök i att belysa om språket och bilden har skilda roller i den moderna TV-reklamen. Ett noga urval av dagens TV-reklamfilmer användes som underlag för den empiriska undersökningen undersökningen. För att besvara syftet och frågeställningarna testades reklamfilmerna ur två kognitiva aspekter: kognition och affekt. My work has been to create a magazine for iPad to explore this format, whichthere are mixed feelings about. Instead of seeing the digital format as an enemy ofthe printed magazine, I have chosen to see it as an opportunity.I have given myself the task of designing a magazine that can justify the useof the digital magazine. I have looked at the identity of the magazine, but mainlyexplored the format and its prerequisites.I was triggered to do the project when I saw people who are just making a pdfof the printed magazine and publish it digitally. I have during my work discoveredhow near or far away you can be from the printed magazine.The format of the iPad has multiple aspects to look upon; one that turned outto be clear in my project was navigation. Working with a spread has its problemsand opportunities; the same applies to an article that is larger than a screen.

Denna text undersöker om unga datorspelare uppfattar perifera dynamiska specialeffekter i virtuella spelmiljöer av FPS-spel. Texten går igenom tidigare forskning om perception och hur partikeleffekter i spel har utvecklats de senaste 20 åren. I undersökningen har det tillverkats en spelprototyp som använts för att testa hur spelaren spelat spelet. Därefter har spelaren svarat på en enkät som analyserats tillsammans med gjorda fältobservationer. Resultaten från undersökningen visar att spelare uppfattat specialeffekter i spel.

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine how femininity, Silikon, Vecko Revyn, and Darling. The study is made from a critical discourse analytical approach and text, pictures, and layout are all analysed. Some of the main characteristics of the material are the division in the categories"we"and"them", double messages, and personal address to the reader. My working process is craft based and influenced by devotion for the textile material and techniques, but the concept is just as important. I mainly do sculptural objects where I treat fascination, frustration and disgust for the human body from a personal perspective. I am also deeply fascinated with Michael Jackson; an iconic figure that I adore above all else. A man with an inner musical ability, dedicated his entire life to tame and signify it through his body. My master work is an investigation where I look upon similarities and connections between my fascination with the body and the admiration and fascination with Michael Jackson.
